What is the future of Rockman and his friends?

The Wily Incidents... a event which caused all people over the world to fear sentinent robots. We all know that Blues will eventually die, when his energy core won´t be repaired. However the vital question is what will happen to Rock, Roll, Rush, Beat, Tango, Auto, King and Forte? Since Rockman 9 we know that robots with expiration dates will all be retired. We can assume that allmost any robot are retired, since we cannot see any of them (besides Auto as a cameo) in the X Series.
What do you think what happened with Rock? I have already a idea what will happen with Rock, but I want to know what you personally think about that matter.

Obviously thier metal innards rusted to a point where they can no longer function. Add to thier memory data corruption, it's obvious that killed them (corrupt data cannot be backed up after all is a possibility). There's also Subby's theroy that can apply here too.

I say that with Lights death, they might have gone to live with cossack. I mean, they need maintenance and all the rest, and he's just about the only other guy they can trust with that. After Cossack dies, Maybe they just roam around and live on their own untill they wear down and die. even a robot will die if it has worn down enough. internally and externally.

I don't believe they revoked it, That would be perfectly logical if they didn't because it fits people's feeling toward robots because of the Wily Incident.

My own personal thought is that Megaman will probably sacrifice himself in some final battle with Wily which will either kill him or not( surviving long enough to make Zero, I don't know) and the rest of the cast will simply dissapear as Capcom won't explain much what happened to them...

Remember, They did not explain what happened with the Maverick Hunters in the Zero Series and the MH had some important characters in it.

Anyways, that just sounds logical to me.

Or else they will never confirm it and keep milking the classic series for eons to come.

I once read a very well written X series Fanfiction, (what a rarity those are...) That had it that after Wily was defeated for the last time, his robot masters were overwhelmed and were beaten, and crucified in a hidden valley far from the city or something X and Zero find it by Accident, and they encounter Vile there, who tells them about it. He learned about the placed because Sigma is obsessed with everything Wily.  He then asks them about the museum displays. how there's a broken Bass on display. X mentions that he thought it was all replicated, and Vile tells him its not, That the bass there is real. "Right down to the Japan flag pole through his chest" Treble was apparently dismanteled and sold as spare parts... I dont remember what happened to Megaman though. However, a few of the robot masters are actually still alive. they are all horribly maimed and crippled,having been there for that long, and I think one or two are crazy from the  pain. So X Zero and Vile temporarily set aside their alignment to put the still living masters out of  their misery.
It was interesting.

I like to think that Duo was introduced for a reason. After the final defeat of Wily's Evil, Wily goes into hiding to finish Zero, while Light's health continues to deteriorate. After Duo visits Earth to see MegaMan, Light asks him a favor for Rock and Roll to join him to his world. Bass I can't say, joins them? But I like to think that Blues sacrifices himself which causes a shift of emotion for Rock. Like the U.S. MM7 ending... Just more epic...

I think Light died of old age, same with Cossack and Kalinka. Wily was given the death penalty for his crimes but not before he set Zero to awaken at a certain time. While light is creating X, there's a long period of peace and Mega Man goes back to being a lab assistant. That's one option for him. Another is, Duo shows up asks for Mega Man's help because there's a war going on on his home planet. Light tells him to go and take Roll and the rest of the crew with him to help out. Light assures them he'll be fine.

Anyways, I think that they broke down and were buried in a secret underground bunker with all the other old, broken-down creations of that time. As time wore on, however, they slowly disintegrated into dust and minerals due to erosion and pressure and stuff. Never to be found again. Makes sense, right?
