So you have all seen the leaked Zelda Wii artwork, right? The small little blurry picture.

What do you think about it? >U<

LoL, I think it's small, I think it's blurry, and I think I can wait till next year for more detailed info!  XD

I LOVED Link's awakening. Best 2D Zelda.

Agreed.

I loved the fact that not only was the gameplay awesome (in many ways, superior to LttP, despite being on less powerful hardware), but I also dug that it was a pretty off the wall setting for a Zelda game. Some hints of modern technology, Japanese mythology, plus references to other Ninty franchises where blended into a nice mixture that just made for a great experience. Oh, and for a change, it dumped the whole "Ganon, Zelda & the Triforce" thing for the most part, which only did more to make the game feel fresher.

Honestly, I wish Ninty would do more along the lines of this game and MM. Both games proved you don't HAVE to have the Triforce and the other two holders of it involved in order to make for good games. Hell, it might be the kind of thing that's necessary, since it's getting so droll, now...

Just a quick question, since I haven't played as many Zelda games as most people in here, but technically, if you include all the handhelds, Adventures of Link & Majora's Mask, doesn't Nintendo have more Non-Triforce Zelda games than Triforce Zelda games?

Not exactly...

Triforce and Zelda and Ganon related:
Zelda
Adventure of Link
A Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
Oracle of Ages
Oracle of Seasons (when together)
Wind Waker
Twilight Princess
Four Swords Adventures (kinda, I'm not sure how to classify this one)
The 3 CDi games (if you want to count them that is XD)

No Triforce:
Link's Awakening
Majora's Mask
Four Swords
Four Swords Adventures (see commentary above)
Minish Cap
Phantom Hourglass (I haven't played it, but I think there's nothing Ganon or Triforce related)

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Ah okay.  I wasn't sure about the Oracle games.  LoL, and I forgot that Adventures of Link technically is a Triforce game, just played differently.  Haha, never mind!  8)

But I still think that they can continue with the Triforce trio of Link, Zelda, and Ganon, and simply try something new.  Again, I'd love to see Playable Zelda.  Even Playable Ganon would make for an interesting game (YES, I know that NO Playable Ganon until Playable Bowser, Ben  8D).  I mean, don't get me wrong.  I loved Majora's Mask, and I would love to see something along the lines of that style of different Zelda game.  However, I'm in no way bored with reg. style Zelda games.

Awesome idea just flashed me:

You wouldn't be the only one, Vix!

On another note:

New Super Mario Bros Wii Hands On Revenge

More shaky cam footage of NSMB, but this one shows off the Morton Jr boss battle. He has a wand, just like the old days!   0v0

I already suggested that ages ago.
Nevertheless...
They are sorely missed.

Hey Ben, fix that link.  I don't know where you copied it from, but you left the "..." in the middle of it.

Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

Oh, thanks Vixy. :D

NSMBWii looks delicious.  I probably won't touch the multiplayer, but god damn if the game itself doesn't look SMW inspired.  What's the release date, again?

It's been said some time around Fall/Winter. But in any case, pre-orders are already open at the likes of Amazon.  8D

This [parasitic bomb] just got real.

Especially these snippets:

QuoteIGN: At your developer roundtable this week, you showed off a single piece of artwork from the next Wii Zelda game. This piece of art has not yet been released publicly, but we noticed that Link appears to have grown to full adulthood. He looks older than he did in Twilight Princess. Is that a correct assumption?

Shigeru Miyamoto: Well, the story setting for this Zelda is, of course, in a completely different era and Link is older than he was previously. More approaching adulthood. There is one hint. Maybe from the art work you can see that he's not holding a sword.

IGN: Has he lost his Master Sword?

Shigeru Miyamoto: [Laughing] I just wanted to make sure that you understand we are making it. That's all I'm going to say on that subject.

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Suddenly, an amazing idea:

Quote(Actually, could just as likely be the young girl being a human manifestation of his sword...)
[...]
What if the robe is analogous to the sword's sheath. Could also explain why she's positioned on his back.
[...]
Yeah, that's what I was going for, and the more I think about it the more it feels like this will be the case...We've had fairies, a ship, Link's hat, Link's shadow (not technically, but Midna fits that billing), now all that is missing is the sword partner!
[...]
Not to mention her pointed frame... Her head could be the handle and the bottom the tip.
[...]
possible. i still like my theory (hope) that it's because this Link won't get a Master Sword because he won't be able to defeat Ganon (please).

another idea is that it's Link's charge to protect in this game. a sword is a largely offensive weapon, and if Link is the role of the shield, like for this girl, a shield would be what defines him. and thus his purpose in the game.

Some genuinely interesting thoughts have been coming around from this small development. Your thoughts on it all RPM?

Also, apparently Spirit Tracks Link is awesome and taking lessons from Indiana Jones with his use of a whip. It's gotten so many positive responses so far from people playing the game on the show floor.
