True some parts of the story dragged on, I liked the Ice Cream scene on top of the Clock Town but there were a few unnecessary extras into the mix, and some of the days weren't needed but considering how strong enemies become over time I think they wanted to allow players to level up as much as possible which they didn't need to do as players could grind at past missions if they wanted to.

As much as I liked Days, A LOT of scenes dragged on; not "some". And I personally thought Days was the easiest of the KH games. It was easy as [parasitic bomb] actually, and I never needed to grind. Sure, you have enemies like Dustflier, but once you get the strategy to avoid his attacks, it's a breeze.

Most of the challenging parts were because of the sloppy controls. For a DS game, it was decent, but it needed that analog control.

I really ahte that Pete mission, it was very irritating and I could never get past it.

Whoa whoa WHOA

Kingdom Hearts FINAL MIX?! Did NOT see that coming.

It's a [tornado fang]ing miracle, consider me impressed, Disney.

Mirby

I could've sworn I mentioned it was KH1FM before in here, but yeah. It's totally KH1FM.

check out that UNKNOWN battle footage :D

(also let's appreciate the detail in the environments of Deep Jungle)

also the only thing Disney really has to do with these is ensuring their characters are used in an appropriate manner. Nomura and his team create the story and plan how the Disney properties will be used, then talk to Disney to get it cleared (they're usually rather accepting). It's really thanks to SE that we're actually getting KH1FM. And what better time than now to get it, eh?

Ah yeah, that is true.

Though I don't believe it's only the Disney material SE has to pass through to them; it's everything. Disney owns the Kingdom Hearts franchise; that includes Sora and the gang.

Can anyone help me beat Vanitas Sentiment with Terra?

Mine Squares and Aerial Slams seem to be the most effective way of beating him. Just like how casting Balloons is the key to beating Julius in KH3D.

Reaperoid

The only character I managed to defeat Vanitas' Remnant with was Aqua, and that was with lots of Seeker Mines and Gliding.
But yeah, I gather that Mine Square is best for Terra and Ven.

My Terra is at level 65, and I still can't do it, myself.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations

Ok, I know we're all excited, but I have to point out that at least for now the battle system seems to have returned to being like 2's.

Can we please not? BBS's is what we should have damn it.

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Heh, it's the battle system which kept me from playing those first two games sadly.

Oh, and just to throw this out there...

A Star Wars world & Marvel world are both possibilities now!  8D

No, it was already confirmed a while back that the gameplay will be heavily influenced by KH3D. Notice Sora jumping off the buildings and heartless? That was flowmotion mechanics, introduced in KH3D.

In terms of Keyblade combat, It will likely play like KH3D and BBS (both games have the same combat style); that is where the series has evolved to. You don't have to worry about them going back to KHII's style of gameplay.

What about the menu stuff from the first two games? That drove me up the wall. Is that gone?

Mirby

Odds are it has. If it's another evolution of the command system, then those are gone. You'll set which special attacks (and spells and items) are in your deck and use those in battle (but you can still attack normally as well, independently of commands). You'll probably be able to synthesize new commands from old ones too.

Also in regards to the announcment
:O >U< *o* :3 <3

Well perhaps I can have the Ninja Lou lend it to me one day, YOU KNOW SINCE WE CAN LEND GAMES ON THE PS4, and I can try it out. The Disney fan in me would love to get into this somewhat.

Also, MAKE A GODDAMN DISNEY AFTERNOON WORLD!  B(

Is it too much to ask for Sora to wear the Gizmo Duck suit.

Mirby

We already have Disney Town (BBS) that's outside Disney Castle (KH1/2). Why not have Duckburg and St. Canard as other locations on that world? :D

Eh, the minigames in Disney Town were fun but the worlds were too short.

One thing I really hope KHIII does is ADD SOME DAMN NPCs in the worlds. I hate traveling to these beautiful worlds, only for it be empty.

It's DISNEY, worlds are supposed to be lively for God's sake!

Mirby

I'm just saying, it shows that Disney Castle isn't the only thing on that world.

Well, plans do change after all and the only screens we have is with the old battle system. Still, there seriously has to be something wrong with them if they go back to KH2 combat rather than commands (make them more BBS and less 3D though).

The HUD is very likely just copy pasted on top of the actual video simulating gameplay like early 3D footage was, but still, I'd rather not have to consider the possibility.

BBS, Re:Coded, and 3D don't, but this trailer does for some reason.

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Nexus

We really can't say much on the battle system until we actually get gameplay footage. It's probably a target of what they want to go for in that trailer, but maybe they used a KH2-style interface to capture the attention of those who may've not picked up the handheld titles? Either way, I am certainly hyped, but.. PS4 exclusive. Damn.

PS4 exclusive. Damn.

That was to be expected really. Nomura dislikes Microsoft.

It was either Wii U or PS4.

Rin

[tornado fang]... PS4... welp.

OBJECTION MAN

Can we have the shortcut menu back please? I hate having to fiddle with the Dpad to find the attack I want. Give me 8 shortcuts. Hold one of the shoulder buttons for the first 4, and another for the second 4. That will do me fine.

Apparently this isn't PS4 exclusive.

It's PS4 and Xbox One (they couldn't comment on whether there'd be a Wii U version, so although there's no confirmation of no Wii U version, there's also not confirmation of one)
