Jump Festa 2016 Live Stream in around 15 minutes. Apparently, there will be new trailers for KH2.8 and KH3.

It started.

Girl from the new Star Ocean game looks suspiciously like Pema.

Edit: Lots of moonspeak, no trailers of anything so far

Holy [parasitic bomb], this is taking forever. Watch them save the trailers for last

The stream seems to be offline, so did I miss anything or are they trolling us by putting the trailers last?

If I don't see anything by 10:30 EST, then this was just a big waste of time.

While III definitely has more detail to it, I think II's art direction is still better. Especially in the colors.

I'm going to say that it's the lighting that's the main difference. The assets in III still seem to be plentiful colourful, but the lighting seems to make it a bit duller somehow.

Nomura confirmed that the graphics are incomplete.

That's especially apparent with Mickey's ugly character model.

I don't mean the colors and lighting of individual objects, but rather the palette utilized within an environment. Take the footage there for example. In KH2 they used a yellow/orange green purple palette in the environment. This color triad really helps each other pop in the scenery.

KH3 does not seem to be utilizing any particular color theory like that.

If anyone has about half an hour to kill I give you a review I dub Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, Descent into Completionist Madness.  The last segment, the Struggle not the thing during the credits which is also hilarious, made me dissolve into one of the biggest giggle fits I've had this year.

The Struggle is basically how hard it is to Complete the game 100%, which is why he is the Completionist.  Or did you mean something else like what kind of video/series this is?

I mean the kind of video it is, because I was 5 minutes in and he's just saying stuff I already know.

Okay I can explain that, the Completonist is a Review type show where each week he 100% completes a Game and reviews it.

The Review is divided up into different sections: the Story of the Game, Presentation of the Game (graphics, musics and the like), Gameplay (basically everything from the meat, mini games and side quest), The Final Level (which can be skipped if you don't want Spoilers), Completion Bonus (Any post game if the game in question has it), The Struggle which I already described, and the Completionist Rating which from highest to lowest are (Complete it, Finish it, Play it, Look at it and Donate it).

So yeah that's why he's explaining the Story in the first 5 minutes, which are mostly spoiler free unless stated otherwise.  The Final Level can also be skipped for those who don't want to be spoiled and skips to the Completionist Rating.

BBS is the only game in the series with good story and relatively easy to follow.

The first KH game, too, arguably, but only because everything was shrouded in mystery, so the story was pretty linear.

It's mostly for people who haven't played the game before, and it's more like a summary rather than in depth.  Like he doesn't go from point to point he really just explains the beginning and how it's set up and the ending starting with the Final Level and how they got there more or less.

The Summary is just part of the review even if it's a game almost everyone has played before. He even does it if he's reviewing a crappy game like Designer Weddings, which he rarely does but it's an example of a game that doesn't necessarily need the Story section like a few others.  He's reviewed/completed over 200 games, and Netflix for April Fools. Twice.

Not much of an April Fools surprise if he does the same thing twice...

Well it's more of a joke and he reviews a show, first time it was Breaking Bad and the second time he reviewed Better Call Saul, the prequel.  And he reviews them as if they were games, because April Fools. Besides it's better than a Dick video every year with ProJared, though ProJared didn't just do a Dick video this year.
And both of them also make fun of the fact that people react to other people's videos which is basically stealing other people's content, which is a serious problem now.
