I've been skimped on the Super Mario Galaxy coin, but that's it.

Kinda annoyed at first, but there's not much I'd do with it.

Metroid Prime feels pretty different with the Wii controls...

Although I can't figure out if the controls are a little more loose than I remember, or if I'm sitting too close to the TV.

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

It's the increased mobility from not being constrained to a joystick's automated movement...

I meant that it feels more loose than Prime 3, although it might just be my imagination.

Or, like I said, I'm sitting too close to the TV.

you probably don't have the same sensitivity settings, then.

I have them set to the highest sensitivity as it allows to turn around pretty quickly, should an enemy come from behind or manages to get behind me.

I always left Prime 3 at Medium.    High sensitivity left the screen too jittery for me.

I just wish that in the Trilogy package they'd added an option to disable auto-level.  That was the most annoying thing about Prime 3 for me.  The whole point of the new controls is to grant more freedom, and yet every time you try to look up/down the game immediately tries to force you into the "correct" level.  It's a pain in the ass.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

You should not have to hold ANYTHING when you're steering with a pointer.  Furthermore, Z is your lock-on button, thus is only applicable if the room is clear.

The controls in Prime 3 always seemed fine to me. Except that it takes way too long to turn around. But well FPS on consoles.

(Still another month until the compilation comes out over here D:)

It's a minor complaint, and one which I realize others may not care about, but then that's why the Options menu is there.  I played and loved Prime 3.  But it came out late enough in the Wii's life cycle that some extra refinement shouldn't have been too much to ask.  Doubly so for Trilogy.

I'm not even going to bother playing the Trilogy version of Prime 3, personally.  Just because.

I heard Prime 3 is a bit more refined in this one, removal of one "Damn" aside.

i ain't touching Prime 3 Trilogy cause there's no more BSJs in that one. that's practically all Prime 3 had for speed tricks.

I heard there's no change in Prime 3 at all minus the removal of the only instance of harsh language in the entire history of the Metroid series. 9_9

Hm.  Looking at Metroid 2k2's forums...

"I've noticed several differences in MP3 so far.

When you choose to have the hint system disabled, the AU continues to upload coordinates to you but it doesn't take you to the map screen immediately afterwards.  For some reason it did go to the map screen when the norion generator coordinates were uploaded, but everytime since then it has not.

The 90 degree corridor near the save room on the way to to the metroid lab in Elysia used to have jolly roger drones in it, now it has an endless stream of puffers.  (It's the corridor that you have to use grapple lasso to pull a coouple of blocks out and then screw attack over to a missile expansion)

The rotating cage in Elysia has been replaced by force fields which flicker on and off at regular intervals.

ALSO - the security station in Elysia used to have metal debris blocking the lock, requiring you to melt them away with plasma first."

Wasn't it always like that? Region differences, I guess.

I don't quite remember the room in question.

S'the one with the tree growing through it. I actually remember it because there's an endless stream of puffers.

At least I think that's the room he's talking about.

i think the room is called Botanics or something like that. and there are drones in the NTSC version of 3. why they changed that for PAL and Trilogy is beyond me.

You should probably play Prime 1. It's not that long, if I remember correctly.

Prime 1, if only because the Meta Ridley battle is so freaking awesome (not that Ridley isn't awesome in Prime 3, but still).
