'Course, now, he'd be an interesting fighter. Very much a "call for help" person. One combo, Pops comes in and just wails 'em with a punch, another combo, Trixy throws a wrench, Super Combo 1, X and Speed for a tag team attack, Super Combo 2:
A) Spridel (sp?) and the monkey spill candy all over the floor, tripping the opponent for fall damage,
Or
B) Try to drive the Mach 5, and careen it straight into the opponent.

Nope. 2 more weeks. (12/11 being the official launch date)  

(What about the US version, has Speed Racer's owner gave permission to use the characters in the US version.. hopefully? I don't like it when the dudes of the rising sun get the goodies)

Unfortunately, as has been said before a number of times....the overall thing seems to be that a US release is improbable, due to licensing difficulties being a touchy issue. And that would be the case whether Go Mifune/Speed Racer was in the game, or not (we still don't have confirmation about him yet, either).

...In any case, the way it is now, if you want the game, you're going to have to import. That's the only way that will insure you get the game.

Fighting game enthusiasts like myself are used to doing such a thing, but I'm sure for people who don't play these types of games as religiously are still suffering from shell-shock.

Well I went to Chinatown to ask about how I could play this on an American Wii. Turns out that you need to have a certain firmware on your Wii or the freeloader will not work. Since I am not messing with that I have to hope it comes out here or it gets ported to PS3 (jp). Looks like I won't be playing this version of the VS series. I mean they did mention that it is possible to make a Sreet Fighter IV for the Wii. So who knows .

But, on the other hand, there is other means you can do to make your Wii region free. Homebrew programs like GeckoOS (via Twilight Hack) are an easy means of doing so. With basically an easy 5 minute installation process, you can make your Wii Region free.

If Freeloader is not an option, this certainly is. It certainly will beat hoping for a PS3 port that won't happen...
