Good matches, though.  That Baroque combo you pulled off was pretty nice, if I do say so myself.  Lots of funny stuff happened, like Volnutt stealing Roll's E-can.  The Drill Arm is a pretty awesome combo filler, although you can just double jump to avoid that buster setup that I kept using afterwards.  Your Roll was pretty scary, though, especially when you managed to pull off that 101-hit combo on me!  :O

It was quite a simple combo that even newbies can do though =P

Amen.
When they start to get their asses beat, they start spamming Hadangeki like theres no tomorrow. It's so annoying, and it gives other Zero users, (the kind who DONT spam and actually play Zero properly,) a bad name.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

The one thing I love about Trigger is that projectile spammers stop chucking stuff at me as soon as they see me whip out the Shield Arm.  They know better. XD

You without meter would be just too good for me =P

Finally decided to sit down after a long while and play the game a little. Ivan's fun, but the Volnutt/Zero team is pretty damn good. I'm slowly learning to play as everyone, though I am enjoying Saki and her annoying use of grenades.

Doesn't really matter. The attack itself is actually broken, you can hold forward and STILL do it. One of the prime ground combos I found for Zero was L-M-H-Hadangeki and all you have to do is hold forward while Zero does his Heavy attack and you'll go right into it, even though it's a back-charge-forward attack.

I do apologise in advance for the lateness of this comment, but I just recently got interested in this game, and I thought I'd ask the good folks of RPM if it's worth buying? I'm not great at fighters in general, but I like them, and I enjoy a good scrap from time to time; bonus points if the game is fun, but not too difficult to get to grips with.

Thanks in advance, chaps.

The game's pretty awesome; it's easy to learn, but hard to master.  It's probably the most balanced fighting game I've ever played as well, as every character can hold their own.  It's worth every penny IMO.

I'm TERRIBLE at fighters, and even I can grasp this game.  If I can, then anyone can.  I'd say buy it.

Well, that settles it. Come hither, Christmas money! We're off to the games store!

The best was on Thursday, when Lou and I were playing at his place.  I pulled off an Air Combo LVL3 Super with Jun, and Lou just looked at me with this frightened, stunned look on his face.

"Air Combo-ing into your SUPER?  That's not the Greg I know!"

Which is very true.

Karas played right can also reflect projectiles. But its a bit harder to do than the shield arm.

Anybody up for a quick battle? I wanna test my internet connection and see what's up with it. For some reason, I never get random opponents to face me. My code is 4082-7114-3641

Well, that connection was pretty smooth if I do say so myself.  I was pulling off combos into Max Speed with relative ease.

Maybe for you, I was lagging like a mother-[tornado fang]er >< Every time I knocked you up I tried to do an air-combo but the damn thing wouldn't register until you already came back down and hit me. Hell, the super combo at the start wasn't even right >< The fact that Zero would swing his saber slower than a turtle when I was mashing the next level of attack proved that as well.

Oh well, guess I'll have to wait until March to get online, and by then I doubt there will be as many people playing :\ [tornado fang]ing Charter internet ><

Really? That doesn't sound right at all. Are you sure that's Hadangeki and not just his 6H?

What happens in Vegas stays on Youtube. I also stream on Twitch from time to time.

Hadangeki is a purple slash attack, and I just hold forward and I do a purple slash attack after his Heavy attack is done. I couldn't believe it either, I kept holding back then right near the end I pushed forward and attack but a couple times I screwed up and just held forward, and noticed that I did a purple slash attack. I did it on the Gamecube Controller if that helps.

Hadangeki is the saber wave.  The purple slash attack is Shippuga (from X4), and is not counted as a special attack in TvC.

Holy crap, really? I did the command for it once and I got the purple slash attack O.o Weird.

Hypershell

Shippuga is Forward+Heavy.  It's real easy to whip it out if you're going for the Heavy (double-bladed) version of Hadangeki and screw up the command.

Id like to know how to do that Hiyenkyaku where Zero goes like, up or down.

The up one is done by using the heavy variation of the move.  It can actually be repeated if you do it off the ground.  The downwards one is done by using the light variation in the air.
