For Wii Ware (just like Gradius Rebirth back then), Contra Rebirth is coming out in Japan on May 12th for 1000 points, with a stateside release coming soon.

Moonspeakers, anything worth noting at the official page?

Possible Contra Rebirth features and random thoughts looking at pics:

- Blue power-ups and yellow power-ups (upgrades?) or is it just the normal shot that's blue?
- Picture of dude indicates multiple characters?
- Picture of dude is glowing, except on the first pic. Hmmm...
- Dual wielding. This should be a staple in every videogame ever.
- Character standing and aiming down = instant fixed shot FTW.
- I guess it's not a remake after all. Better.
- x00 lives haha the player SUCKS. \o/
- Sky battle with crazy meteor platforming.

People tell me Gradius Rebirth was very short. Like 5 stages short. I hope this one is as long as Contra 4 at least. Branching paths à la Hard Corps would be too much to ask I guess.

Virtual Console doesn't have a lot of things. It does have a copious amount of something, though... ESPECIALLY with the way NoA's been handling it lately.
