Which pokemon is Coffee anyway?

LoL, now think about this, young one.  Judging by the sound of the name, and imagining me yelling it out, what Pokemon does it sound like?

So what's the best game including spinoffs, then?

Well, I didn't include them because I haven't played them all, but Card and Snap are up there at least (god damn it, make them sequels Nintendo).

My life is currently bears and Jojos and everything is great.

Hypershell

Personally, for best spinoff I'd go with Colosseum.  It uses the core gameplay mechanics, but with additions that emphasize the need to raise your critters rather than simply let them rot in the PC.  Also features pretty much the only hero of the RPGs who can be taken remotely seriously (read: is not a 10-year-old n00b who upstages all the experienced trainers).

A shame Gale of Darkness went the wrong way in attempting to expand it.  They added tons more Shadows, mandating an "automated" method of purification, which rendered the whole idea of bonding with your Pokemon to purify them obsolete.  What they need is to take Colosseum's level of Shadows (40-something, I believe) and attach it to a game that has normal wild encounters.

Snap was a lot of fun, though.

Was that the GC game with the Shadow Pokemon and the battles that took forever?

Hypershell

Two GC games had Shadow Pokemon.  Colosseum was the first.  Not sure where "battles that took forever" is coming from.

In fact, in terms of pacing, that's one more thing I love about Colosseum: The entire game uses the Double Battle style.

All I remember about that game was that I started with Espeon & Umbreon, a single battle literally took me about 5-10 minutes, that I couldn't skip animation, and that de-shadowfying the shadowmon took forever..

Hypershell

I got a bit distracted with other stuff, so I'm not as far ahead as you'd expect a launch-day nut to be.  Getting there, though.

Reset my game repeatedly in order to get a decent Red Gyarados (nicknamed THUNDRZORD).  Just cleared Team Rocket out of Goldenrod (love that battle theme).  Making straight for Blackthorn in order to get that Extremespeed Dratini as soon as possible.

Lunar Knight Zeke

I have seven badges and just finished off Team Rocket in Goldenrod. My team is as follows

Giratina(Origin Form): level 25
Jirachi: level 36
Red Gyarados: level 34
Infernape: level 36
Feraligator: level 39
Ampharos: level 36

Right Now I'm exploring the Dark Cave for a bit before I head to Blackthorn City.

Klavier Gavin

I'm re-battling the E4. You people are slow.

Of course... my pokeymans are still somewhat under leveled. :v

Sakura Leic

I'm training my pokemon now for the Blackthorn Gym

My team is

Espeon (Apollo) Lv 35
Jolteon (Flash) Lv 15
Vulpix (Kitsune) Lv 35
Skarmory (Sharp) Lv 30
Smoochum (Shiva) Lv 13
Feraligater (Poseidon) Lv 37

Yes I know I could of named my Vulpix better but I couldn't think of any at the time and I'm reserving Blaze for, well Blaziken.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

Archer

why would you want to name a pokemon after that guy :/

Sakura Leic

Because I forgot the Japanese name for a Nine Tailed Fox, plus even if I did know it I didn't want to sound like a Narutard.
Current playthrough: Chrono Trigger and God Eater Ressurection

Sakura Leic

I think she was talking about the fact that I named my Vulpix Kitsune, I don't really know she wasn't specific.  Plus if she was talking about it I'm not sure if she ment Kitsu or Foxtar.
