Got my SoulSilver copy! Sadly my Diamond version which had the colored Pichu and Jirachi is currently missing (just like my Platinum, LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald versions).

Well I can't play it right now since I'm still working on beating .hack//LINK.

Okay, now I'm officailly in love with this game, it's SO broke with the D/P/Pt transfer system.

Indeed, unrestricted trades from the get-go are awesome.  I'm holding out on Dratini so as to not spoil myself for the Extremespeed version, but in the meantime, laying the smackdown throughout Johto with Trapinch and Jirachi is pretty cool.  Plus I needn't wait to travel with a Dragonite in my Pokewalker.

Got SoulSilver, and in keeping with my obscure trainer dragon references, named my character Dulcy.  Rival is Malcom (as in kicking his Gigabutt).  Current team is Cyndaquil, Wooper, Trapinch, Geodude, Jirachi, and Pichu.

And I gotta say that I *LOVE* the ability to make notes on the map.  Even if you're restricted to that funky word selection, it still makes it lightyears easier to remember points of interest.

Well, the first official English HGSS WiFi event is gonna be the Yellow Forest PokeWalker course.
The event will start of 1st April 2010, and last until 30th April 2010.
And because I'm lazy...

Ok so I picked my up yesterday. Quickly beat Inside Bowser story and booted up my Silver copy. It froze twice on the intro screen. I blew into my DS and it hasn't froze since. should I be worried and has anyone else had a problem with their copy. On a side note I like the Fact that the DS cart is black for silver. Did they do something different for gold?

It must be there so that the Poke-walker can detect it due to the cart's special innings, since normal wireless doesn't seem to cut it for the poke-walkers own wireless connection.

Noiw I need to draw myself with a Charmeleon to join the party.

OK, I put my first Pokemon into my PokeWalker, my Rattata called "Jack", and it's pretty cool! So old-school with the sound and black & white graphics (though very impressive graphics). Interesting indeed.

Also I was giving away free Pikachu-colored Pihcus over at GameFAQs an hour ago to give it to people who missed the event or so. I have at 3 Pikachu-colored Pichus left and I'll be getting some more to give away after March 25th.

So I have to have two DS to trade the Pichu to your SS from your D/P/Pt versions? I have to find my old DS then to trade between my two versions. And sadly for me I lost my Diamond version which had Jirachi, Mew, Celebi, Arceus (but my little brother traded it away without knowing its worth (WTH!)), and among some of my best Pokemon along with my Platium version as well. What is it with me losing my Pokemon games? Blue, FireRed (bought a new one), LeafGreen, Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, and Platium versions I've lost. Worst luck ever...


Lucky for me I still have my old Red, Yellow, Gold, Silver, and Pearl versions left.

Normally I want a Bellsprout...but I wanted something different, so I thought "I'll go with Oddish!" but I caught a Paras instead and thought "Never raised one of them, I wonder what it's like..."
I haven't regretted it yet. :V

Pokewalker works via infrared link in the cartridge (so it works with a DSi even if you left communications off), which is why the cartridge casing is translucent black.  Needs line of sight to work.  Basically, it's the same thing as on the GBC, 'cept in the cart instead of on the system.
