Er, how would I work wi-fi battles and the like? I'm willing to give it a try (and lose horribly..).

Go downstairs at any pokemon center to get a Pal Pad.
Sign in to wifi then sign out.
Use your Pal Pad, find out what your friend code is, then post it.
Use your Pal Pad and register the friend code of whoever you want to battle with.
Sign in to wifi when someone you've got registered is on.
Accept the invitation of/invite someone to a battle/trade.

That's pretty much it. You can skip the first three steps if you already know your code.

Step 1: Catch Kecleon.
Step 2: Get move relearner to teach Kecleon thief.
Step 3: Chain Chansey.

Wait a minute.. I have a Kelecon, I may train when I have availability. (but, then again, where's the best location for active Chansey? All I ever encounter are Bidoof and Bibarel)

Trophy Garden, if they're spawning there. Keep a level 18 pokemon in the front of your party and the only pokemon that'll spawn will be Chansey or Pikachu. If they're not spawning, then, well, save before talking to Backlot, and keep resetting until he talks about them.

You can get them on some other routes, but there's only like a 5% chance, and that sucks. Trophy Garden's much easier.


There's no real need to train a Kecleon, either. They learn thief at level 1, and all the enemy Chansey can do is doubleslap off 5 base attack, so you'll never be in danger. The level they spawn at in the wild is more than enough.

Only problem is, this bugger's from Emerald. (Base Lv is 30, gotta do some breeding)

That or grab a Heart Scale.  Although breeding's probably easier.

You know, I kinda resent the whole all-legends-or-no-legends attitude.  To be honest, as much as I HATE the likes of Kyogre, Darkrai, and Arceus, I don't really appreciate outright banning anything (although 1-hit-kill moves are really pushing it).  To use all legends feels restricted and unoriginal, while not using them at all feels equally restricted and watered down.  I try to find a balance, limiting myself to only one Pokemon of the "Uber" class.

The Level 50 and Level 100 options auto-adjust your levels, so there's really no need for that.
(don't ask me why Tournament holders refuse to use it, I don't know)

I kinda rely on that now because I've been trying to keep as many Pokemon as possible at 50 just in case I ever decide to try a tournament.  But there are a few in my team, mainly Dragonite and Palkia, who I cannot get into shape by that point (Dragonite doesn't evolve until 55 and I'm not removing Dragon Dance from my promotional because there's no way to restore it; and for Palkia I need a Level 60 move).

That's new to me. Either that or it could just be your Dragoniar. In-Game Levels do affect the WiFi match, too. say, If you had a Lv1 newbred going up against a Lv40 vet could spell doom for the newbred. that's why it's important to work on the pokemon in-game, too.

I dunno why you'd want to blanket ban legendaries, anyway, since it's not like they're all good. Are you scared of Articuno/Phione/the Regis? I'm not.
