For a week that was suppose to deliver an assortment of phony news, we actually got quite a morsel of real (although small) news stories:

Udon Dates R20 For North America, Coming In Two Volumes

According to Udon's release schedule, the company plans on releasing "R20: Rockman & Rockman X Official Complete Works" in North America in two individual volumes, splitting the original 336 page book in half:

The first volume, Mega Man: Official Complete Works, will presumably contain all the classic series contents of R20 while the second volume, Mega Man X: Official Complete Works will represent the later, X series half of the book.

The books won't be released simultaneously; MMOCW is coming sometime September 2009 while MMXOCW will arrive in November. No additional information other than that, but this is great news to say the least.

Hitoshi Ariga Trolls Fans, Secretly Announces Megamix 4 Info

Though not as cruel as a certain other Japanese April fools' joke, Hitoshi Ariga, author of the Rockman Megamix series, pulled a fast one on us.

According to his newest blog post, Megamix 4 will be nothing more than one huge disappointment: It won't be available this May, it will not ship in a 300 page A5 format book and will most certainly not include the bonus comic "Development Secrets" at the end of each chapter...

Sarcasm at its finest. You had me there for a moment Ariga.

Rockman 3 Re-released Onto Japanese Mobile Phones

As of Thursday, Rockman 3 is now available on SoftBank and EZweb equipped mobiles phones in Japan.

The latest release is "3G friendly" complete with new features such as a new difficulty level and a sound test mode where you can listen to all sorts of sound effects and BGMs from the game. Other than that, it's a pretty bare bones port of the Famicom classic.

Rockman 3 can be purchased for the small price of 315 Yen ($3.50)

Who knew Ariga had it in him? XD

As for R20, though it got split in half, it is indeed great news that it's getting localized.
A great birthday present~

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

Assuming it actually comes out on schedule this time, I think I got myself a B-Day present for the MM:OCW 8D

How much will those books cost? I might consider saving for them.
If they aren't ridiculously priced.
