Oh come on.  Do something crazy like... have a completely nonsensical boss fight between Megaman and Bill Nye across RPM's main page.  Who -wouldn't- laugh at that?

Commander Shepard: *stares blankly at a video of scantily clad asari dancers* ...What kind of hotel is this?
Liara T'Soni: It is a luxury resort with an... exotic edge.  Azure is slang for a part of the asari body in some places on Illium.
Shepard: Where?
Liara: The lower reaches, near the bottom.
Shepard: I meant, "where on the asari body?"
Liara: So did I.

God, I would have loved for this to be true. *cries* I mean it's not like I was a big fan of some of the X games, but still. It would have been nice for a possible "fill in the plot holes" story.

damn you april 1st, damn you.

Granted the sprite artwork was really well done, this year was honestly pretty weak.

What would have been better? "Tatsunoko VS Capcom Coming to the US!!!" Seriously, who would've shat their pants if that was it? All you really had to do was take existing pictures that weren't scans, and just translate them, and then shop it on there. Granted it would take some time to do to make it look official, someone could've pulled off what BBD did last year with MM9 and take a picture of it from aways to blur the image so that it looked more convincing.

And... that would be an April fools prank... how...?

I once suggested changing all the member icons (the rank) to the banned icon on everyone, so on april fools, everyone is "banned" so to speak. in fact, to add insult to injury, banned for real members should get the regular icon at the highest rank possible.

A megaman site I go to used to do that... right after changing the banner to something with rainbows and "fabulous" in it.

...When Larry the reploid accountant goes maverick of his own accord, he's certainly formidable during tax season, but he isn't going to provide X the challenge needed to make him grow as a warrior and reach his potential.

4 years back, this webcomic a friend of mine did asked me for a suggestion on an april fools prank.. i said he should make it look like something a 12 year old amateur sprite comic artist would throw together with geocities >.>
so, he made the background an eyebleeding neon color, made a comic using horridly scaled sprites, and typed like an idiot. |:

same year kabutroid of planet zebeth inverted the colors of everything on his mainpage. :3

Well, I for one wouldn't [sonic slicer] if they actually did something funny next year instead of the same damn prank for the fifth year in a row.

The problem is, its already been said. You'd all still [sonic slicer] anyways. Well, not you all, but a majority, that way no one gets offended that I'm singling them out. I really liked this prank this year because it caught me off guard. It was simple. It didn't have to go all out. It stayed within the realm of possibility thanks largely to the success of Megaman 9. That, and when I clicked the topic I totally wasn't thinking about April Fools  -u-'

With that said, when April Fools comes around every year, people get overly suspicious, annoying, skeptical, and just come off as asses because they seem to take pride in not being pranked and then they have some sort of fit whenever they deem something "not funny". I guess this is just one of those common traits of the new internet generation. PB's probably got it right.

Truth be told, Vixy and everyone involved with this years prank, you guys should do some sort of expirement where you hoax people on a day they don't expect, like I suggest moving April Fools to August 16th or something. It'll be a nice little time just to see how people will react when they don't see it coming and it'll actually prove how pathetic people really can be. Sorry if I'm coming off as an ass and harsh over this, but it just annoys me so damn much how people were being bitches over a little fun.

Christ.

I've seen that once or twice just recently and have no idea what its from. I'm assuming last years, but if it was from a time that wasn't April Fools and people still raged, then yeah, my point pretty much stands that the people who rage are idiots.

Too bad people are always pissy about pranks like this. Absolutely no sense of humour, especially when they fall for it at first. Tsk tsk tsk, learn to take it easy guys.

Nerds can't take a joke, are hyper sensitive to anything not in their benefit, and can absolutely positively NOT be pleased no matter what you do with a game/hoax/storyline unless you have pocky or porn attached to it. It's a internet joke. It's not like you're getting beat up in your highschools/Junior highschools again. Just take a step back and chuckle at least.

As far as it goes, it was a good effort from BBD as far as constructing it, but if he left out Axl's yellow armor part, and shaded his hair differently, it would have been less obvious. :P But yeah...the spikes on the wall. That was kinda odd with nothing to knock Zero into them. Still, good effort.

Well, now that you mention it, since I just happened to stumble across this particular message...
Sorry, but I don't buy all of that. The scar thing? They can say it's important all they want, but how much do you want to bet that they don't know in what way yet. For the Virus thing after X2? Sure, they had a basic premise for the X vs Zero fight I'm sure, but obviously didn't figure out how to execute it well, hence X5.

Really, don't give Game Designers too much credit; more often than not they're making it up as they go along. When they actually do have a base idea for later games, it often changes a lot in the process.
Both in the same post, yowza! Holy [tornado fang]ing [parasitic bomb], they're indeed not dead!
