 This thread is too negative. It is talking about bad thing such as being trapped, cannibalism, and islands. Why not brighten it up with another S? This way it becomes dessert island where everything is sweet and edible. Now you have to choose between cannibalism, eating sweets until you die of diabetes, or being forced to live a life of eating cake and not having milk.

Honestly though, realistically, I'd have to find water first, cultivate whatever edible fruit I can find, use those fruits as bait for animals, and then fish. Then there's the matter of shelter, a cave would do, but there's the danger of an animal living there, so throwing some fire in there first to drive out the animal or kill it would have to do.
