Cana nyone tell me why I cannot register people? It doesn't seem to work for me for some reason.

Having absolutely no knowledge of what you or anyone else have tried, that is impossible.  However I will be happy to register your Wii Console and Brawl codes to see if I can connect to you.  Be forewarned of a few things, however:

1. The Wii System Menu (Console Codes) is notorous for not receiving information in a timely fashion, in spite of the whole standby-connection shpiel of WiiConnect 24.

2. Make sure your Wii has a standby connection (power button when off should be yellow, not red).  If the standby connection is disabled, then your Wii cannot check for your friends when you're not using it, and thus connecting with them will take even longer.

3. I suppose a zillion people already told you this, but you must accept the WiiConnect24 agreement in the System Menu.  This is for console codes, not for games.

4. Even Brawl has been unable to break my addiction to the sheer awesomeness that is Monster Hunter Tri.  Between that and the 3DS launching tomorrow, unless you have a time in mind for us to connect, you likely will not see me online in that game for a while.

I actually shut off my Wii's Standby Connection in the menu.  The system gets too hot otherwise, to the point of failing to start.

WiiConnect24 is still "on" so that I can access the shop, but my system won't search for messages unless I'm browsing the menu.  And knowing how notoriously slow the Wii is to respond to online messages, that probably means I won't be seeing stuff that people send me for a looong time.
