Yes, actually I do write.
I have a couple of stories going.

Absolute- A romantic comedy kind of story between man and machine. Also has a Transvestite with the hots for the main character. And an experiment that the father of the main character made in earlier years. can be sexual at times. Has library sex in it.

Chronicles of Kyn- A story about people who are half animals (have animal ears and tails) and also has greek mythology wrapped into it. I've incorporated my friends into it, but I'm thinking of just putting me and Peter in it.

Yeah, I write. Mostly fanfiction, though. I did start something based on my original characters, but that hasn't gotten very far.

The majority of it is Rockman-related oneshots focusing on certain characters. The only things that deviate from that are the Silent Bomber oneshot I've written, and the multi-chapter Marvel vs. Capcom fic that I'm still working on. They've all gotten positive reviews so I must be doing something right!

Randomly, I just decided to go through my Stories & Writings folder and look at some of the stuff I started. One of the stories I was working on was loosely based off of some weird dream I had (and thus provided the backstory for a character). The story is pretty much there for me to write, I just never finished it beyond the first couple pages as I'm not sure where to go with the story. Ah well, some day I may get back to work on it...

Loooong ago, when I joined RPM... boy must have been 2 years or more... I tried writing a fanfiction and failed horribly. So I gave up on that.

I am looking for some inpiration for an idea I am working on but my ADD and just plain laziness won't let me. I can deal with the laziness and ADD but it leaves me with very little inspiration, I hadn't written any fics or at leasst outlines in years and right now it is driving me nuts. What can I do to finally start on a story?

Dude. Some fanfictions are INCREDIBLY hard to read. You have to force yourself to keep going knowing you will gain NOTHING from it.

I've read a very small amount of fanfics. I usually avoid 'em either due to them being just plain uninteresting, cliched, chock full of crappy prose, Mary Sue characters, bad dialogue, etc. I've started reading some fanfics, but would stop and move on as they won't hold my interest. At all. Or the characterization is horrible. Or the prose is [parasitic bomb]. Or the dialogue is bad.

Every once in a blue moon will I come across a decent fanfic with decent prose that I will actually employ in my writing. That rarely happens, though. And I need to have ~~suffered~~ read through several bad fics just to find one good one.

For reference to prose and structure, you're seriously better off sticking to reading published, professional authors. Eragon doesn't count. It's just published fanfiction.

Stories? No. I tried writing a few fanfics in high school that were utter garbage, and I haven't convinced myself to do more since. Even now that I'm an English major in college, you think I would have, but eh.

I'm a much better poet anyway.

Can anyone give me ti[s on how to write a good psychodrama? I was hoping to create a fic with EB as inspiration but at the same time I don’t enough to write a story like that down. I don’t know if I could but nevertheless I going to give it my best shot and also I would like to know any authors who had done it before so that I can learn from them.
