I'm playing and loving it. Only thing that ticks me off about it is that Mac's version of the fight music won't play in Exhibition, so if you like it, you have to start new Profiles and redo Career mode.

But man, this game is FRIKKIN HARD. I only ever got to Super Macho Man on the NES, but even so, the way opponents screw with you in punch timing and specific dodge directions is quite evil. But the game is no less badass, and I love it. Thus far I've crawled my way up to Piston Honda in Title Defense.

BTW, Soda Popinski's animation during a 10 count had me laughing my ass off.

I thought the greatest improvement in character was Aran Ryan. With his hyperactive attitude, it felt as though he was someone completely new.

I still wanted Dragon Chan in, though. $:\$

He's even more hilarious when you find out who else his VA did.

Also, I was thinking that they should remake/port the original arcade Punch-Out's to the DSi via DSiWare. I mean, those games did use a dual-monitor system, so it'd be fitting for the DSi. Should they be remade, they should be mashed together to make one game.

I was amazed at how friggin cool Mr Sandman was. I didn't like SNES incarnation at all. But this one?

Now up to rematching Super Macho Man. And I gotta say, the intro of him being jealous of Mac with the ladies never gets old.

finally got it~ Got to Great Tiger rather quickly then let my brother have his 360 fun.

update: now at Super Macho Man. Goodness I love how each boxer stands out SO MUCH MORE now~

Well, today I returned to Wii Punch-Out!! and beat Super Macho Man on Title Defense, so I can watch the girls drooling over Mac any time.

I'm curious, am I the only one who's relying on pattern memorization to tackle the last half of World S? 'cuz the way this game screws with you in timing and wrong dodge directions gets a bit unbearable when a split-second punch is always a threat. Sure, I can TKO Super Macho Man in Round 1, but that's after enough trial-and-error to know the order of every punch he'll throw for the first two knockdowns. To me, it seems that reflexes alone won't get you anywhere this late in the game, especially defending against Sandman. *shudder* Kind of a bummer.
