So, you can buy a bronze Vader statue, or a bronze Yoda statue...

Anyone have $18,000 lying around? 8D

I think I prefer the Yoda statue over Vader's.

So Sailor Moon came out in Japan, America has to wait two more months, usually its only a month difference but whatever.

Anyway, people are breaking her left and right it seems!

How horrifying.

Speaking of Revoltech Woody he's getting another re-release this year in November.

But no, that's just people ham-handing their figures and snapping joints.

People spend all that money, just to snap the joints?

How blasphemous.

I handle my figures with care, particularly the expensive ones.  Though I've gotten a bit more comfortable with Mewtwo's range of movement, he's still handled carefully.

I've spent lots of money just to have figures break on me even when I'm being delicate.

For example, I broke one of Rin's Twintails off because while being delicate the joint was cold and refused to move.

I lost a knee pylon on an Eva 00 because the [tornado fang]er suicided on me. I'm afraid to lose another Eva piece to shelf-diving antics so I reposed them all in more balance-friendly poses.

There are some pretty interesting "bodies" you can attach those joints onto.  I've seen gifs, but I can't post them.

I keep Mewtwo far away from the edge of the shelf.  I don't care how balanced his pose is, he's not doing any shelf-diving on my watch!

[parasitic bomb] just tumbles. There's a lip on the shelf the evas are on so if they fall they tumble onto the lip and smack a few shelves before they hit the floor, losing pieces as they fall so I have to reassemble them all the [tornado fang]ing time.

They're big fuckers too so that's probably why. Smaller figures fall and don't do much. Bigger ones get bashed up easier.

Colour me intrigued. Perhaps a PM or two?

Oh I don't think people do that.

Its mostly just sometimes joints are a little tough to move at first so people force them and bam they snap.

small little twig stick things at the ends of joints to connect hands to don't help.

I can attest to that, my Mewtwo is... Still dough around the edges, but I don't intend to pose him too much.

Still... BLASPHEMOUS

There are ways to get joints to move.  Heating the plastic will cause it to soften and expand, and you can loosen a stubborn joint that way.  Freezing and then thawing will cause the plastic to contract and expand, and you can loosen a joint nicely with that.

If heating, applying a heating pad to the joint should do the trick.  Some people boil the figure, and hair dryers on a low setting work, too.

Well, the water is heated to a high temperature, and then the stubborn joint is placed in the water for about a minute.  Hair dryers, heating pads, and sometimes just holding the joint in your hands will soften the plastic.

There's a Re-release for Mewtwo coming in November if anybody who's interested missed him.

He won't be available in US stores though so best pre-order someplace like Hobby Search, Amiami's sold out (Just like they're sold out of Thanatos and Elizabeth. [tornado fang]ing Thanatos man.)

I would only consider it if the re-release has something new.

Like articulated knees.

I'd be all over articulated knees.

Yeah, but really that's the only thing missing.

Haha, you're expecting Bandai to actually revamp a figure for a re-release.

I don't even think GSC does that when they bother to reprint old figmas, they keep them with the stupid hands with the small ball at the end.

So I finally read that they announced the other Hurricangers. Both Blue and Yellow, and Crimson and Navy are P-Bandai 2packs... dammit.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations
