I've left my laptop on for more than a week. As long as the hardware is of good quality, nothing's gonna happen to it.

Curiously, today I got what I never thought I'd get in my WinXP Pro SP3 laptop ever since I reinstalled the hard drive: a freaking BSOD. Why? I have no [tornado fang]ing idea.

I wish I never tried to play my brother's Crysis on my computer; it f*cked it up, and now most normal games (emulation and game maker stuff is usually unaffected) lag unbearably. Case in point: SMOD for Half-Life 2 (And just Half-Life 2 in general), when throwing the explosive bananas around.

Wow, now I'm kinda glad my laptop "can't" upgrade to it.

LOL, all in all, I thoroughly recommend upgrading to SP3, since the BSOD was partly provoked by myself. I was testing a few things poking into random memory addresses, and apparently I put a value I shouldn't have in a place I shouldn't have, and literally everything just blew up then.

It's true that I wasn't expecting it, since I thought SP3 would have already included protection for the critical/"protected" memory areas, but all in all, I brought it upon myself -- normal usage of the OS shouldn't ever give you one.

I remember getting a blue screen from playing RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 with a Mp3 changed to a WAV through a file extension, big mistake.

RF: House almost burnt down on saturday. I'm in the middle of Sylmar where the fire hit, and a mere block away from the oakridge MH park were 600 houses were wiped out.

I broke my ankle on October 1st. It's almost finished healing. And damn it all, now they want to take the screw out of my ankle that they put in during surgery(which means, according to the doctor, more time that I have to take to heal up).

I have picked up jellyfish, touched a Portuguese Man-O-War, swam with moon jellies, been stung by moon jellies, and even eaten jellyfish.

It tasted pretty good, but had the texture of gristle.
