Some days ago, I bought an USB Video Capture Device to record some gameplay videos and upload them to YouTube. When I tried to install it I found out the CD couldn't be read by any computer, so I decided to download the driver and some alternative software in order to use my USB Video Capture Device. The thing is that none of the programs really worked.

Can someone tell me about some good video capture software, please?

Adobe Premiere and Adobe AfterEffects have video capture support.   As for free programs, I can't think of any off the top of my head.

I'm gonna warn you, though...  Adobe programs will set you back quite a bit.  That is, if you plan to actually buy them.

That capture device looks alot like my brother's capture device.  We use ours for mostly stop-motion, though.

3-second motion test.

Filmed at 30 fps.  Each of the ninety frames were taken with a capture device and imported into AfterEffects.

Good to know that Premiere solved the problem, though. ^^

Pretty cool. I like to record gameplay footage myself now.

So what gameplay videos are you planning on record? Wii games, PS2/3 games, 360 games? And does that cable also work for PSP and the DS? I'm kinda curious.

DS? Nu-uh, no way...! You have to open up your DS and modify it yourself so it can be connected to TVs.

Or ask Nintendo nicely to sell you the I(ntelligent)S(ystems)-NITRO development kit.
(which won't happen, because you're not part of the press)

PSP? Yea model 2000 and up has some kind of TV-out function that I haven't bothered using at all.
I stick with the "perfect-image-quality" RemoteJoy instead. The Lite version works pretty good. ^^

If you have a strong PC, you could try and record a lag-free session of no$gba for your DS games. >w<

So DS is a big no-no.

And this RemoteJoy... program or something (?) can be used for a non-hacked PSP to record videos? My PSP model is a 2001 I guess cause under the bar code on my PSP is labeled PSP2001.

And that emulator again... maybe if I want to start all over again with my games. ^^

RemoteJoy is a Custom Firmware PRX utility, so you'll need to mod your PSP. That, and you need a program to capture the USB-transferred video.

I guess all I can really say is it isn't exactly what I'd expect out of a $4.4M game

It doesn't even have mouth animations
