So, I have been replaying this game on the PSP for a while.  I really want to "do everything" this time, which is probably going to end up being a terrible mistake, but I'm having fun so far.  Right now I have a level 1 Ramza, and 4 level 99 generics, because I am doing something very silly.

Anyone have any tips on how to turn my team into a ridiculous killing machine WITHOUT REPLACING EVERYONE WITH A SOLO ORLANDEAU?

I usually just do Knights with Two Swords (Dual Weild) and Hamedo (First Strike), then load them up with Blood Swords ([chameleon sting]ing Blood Swords).  Supposedly Blade Grasp (Shirahadori) is way cheaper at max Brave, so I might do that this time.  Dark Knight looks cool, but I have yet to unlock it.

Acid

Wouldn't a team of Dark Knights with Night Sword skills be VERY damn lethal? I mean once you unlock it.

It's been a while since I played it, but aren't there teleport boots too?

Sub Tank

Probably, but Dark Knight isn't happening any time soon, especially since I'm getting my ass kicked right now by level 99 monsters, due to my crappy CHAPTER III: THE VALIANT gear.

I don't think there were any teleport boots.

VixyNyan

There is Teleport "Move" ability. ^^

And you could also mix some Calculator spells if you want more lethalness.

Sorry, Teleport Boots were in FFTA. My Bad.

But there were Haste Boots, right?

Sub Tank

I always sucked with Calculators.

Haste boots?  Probably.  There's always the Excalibur too, with its perma haste.  I hear level 90~ Ninjas throw those at you.

Acid

I really have to get back into this. Soon. I can barely remember anything besides the plot.

Might as well grab the PSP version then.

You can pick the "Level" parameter, then the number 3 after that, to hit enemies that are LV99. ~w~

I'd kill my party too, wouldn't I?  Wish I was level 98 again.

Does anyone remember if the Holy/Dark Knight classes could use their sword skill twice if they had two swords?  I vaguely remember something like that, but I might be mixing it up with the regular Knight class.

You can remember the plot?  All I remember is that everyone you meet backstabs you or someone else.

You can remember the plot?

There were two plots:

1) Two nations still trying to [tornado fang] each other up after the war has ended, in some sort of medieval cold war. Full of backstabbing and assassination (Ultimately leading to the Lion War).

2) The corrupt order of knights, that was trying to resurrect the leader of the Lucavi.

Ramza happens to be involved in both, being a member of a important family and being a descendant of the one who killed Ultima for the first time.

Sub Tank

I used to always mix the 50 Year War up with the Lion War.

I just know that the church is behind everything, like in most RPGs.

That's regular knight. Dark Knight skills are considered special magic skills. Knights using Two Swords can indeed perform most of their Break techniques twice with it.

Yeah, it's mostly about the lies of the church to the general populace about their so-called "god" (St. Ajora) and how one guy (Ramza) found out all about it and, paraphrasing Blade, became a [chameleon sting]er trying to skate uphill... And actually managed it.

Acid

It's not that hard.

Weren't Ramza's father and Orlandu like... the only warriors who lived through the whole 50 Year war?

Aw man.  So much for double Night Swording people.

Acid

Hey Sub, you got Balthier yet?

Is he really as broken as Orlandu?

Sub Tank

Not yet.  I just got that kid with all the useless accessories from FFTA2.

Acid

Oooh Luso.

Didn't know he was in there too.

Yea, he is. He has Barrage that lets you attack 4 times in a row on the same move~

Wait there is Balthier, that same Balthier from FFXII?

Proud member of Indigo tribe!

Do you have one of the final battle?  I'm assuming there's some sort of cutscene.

The reason I ask is because I probably won't end up doing the final dungeon, since I don't like that point of no return.

Exactly the very same. The leading man, if you wanna call him that.

I have plenty of time to bring her up next week. ^.^
