I really want to find Karol's voice actress and ask her if she could record a line to overdub on Karol's 2nd Mystic Arte.

"Pierce the heavens with your mighty drill! Let's go! ULTRA BOMBER... X!!"

Also, Estelle's new Mystic Arte, Ultimate Elements... well. Dare I say she may actually be useful now?

Yea, Estelle might be a bit more usefull but then again, i'm one of those people who never noticed her do anything particularly stupid sence i turned off all her Strike artes and set her strategy to MAGIC ARTES ONLY. Made sure to equip her with a Faerie Ring so she'd use less TP and be less likely to try and run up and kill stuff with her pathetic melee skills of FAILITUDE.

Another thing to point out is that i've SEEN that the Tales Cameo costumes cause Altered Artes for the characters. Most of 'em are freaking awsome. Plus it seems you can carry over Fell Arm kill counts at the Grade Shop. Also, so people know, the Overlimit levels ABOVE level 4 do nothing special; it's just more room for Overlimits, thus meaning more death infliction. And Patty is rediculously broken sence she can cast a spell that has a random chance of giving YOUR ENTIRE PARTY level 4 Overlimit, thus leading to MASSIVE MYSTIC ARTE SPAM OF DOOM. Which is awsome to watch, by the way. F*** YEA ENHA HOYOKUSHOU! Oh, and i've been watching the JTV stream so that EFF-YEA comment might strike people a oddly familiar sence i say it just about every time some character does a Mystic Arte. <_<

This Tales stuff seems pretty popular. Maybe I should finally get interested in it?

Pretty smooth looking.

It sure doesn't look bad.

Damn. Everyone looks like an admiral.

borockman

Well, almost all of em are royalty of some sorts.  XD

I can't believe they've more costumes?!

Eh, I'll stick with Raven using Love Shot on everyone with Yuri running around with Guardian Field. Status Effects aren't really a problem and should reviving be necessary, I've got Life Bottles. Grade doesn't mean anything to me anymore.

Well, seeing as I like stories about royals and militiants, this is right up my alley. Tales of Graces might win my "best Tales game" spot already. I know gameplay wise, it has. No contest.

I already found my fav character:

The bearded guy to the right.

Looking at the cast list, I'm wondering which one's the party character that will die/only be around for part of the game.

It's always the one I like.

I'm going with the blue haired guy if only for this:

So good.

borockman

People say that he is the Jedi master of Tales.  XD

Anyway...

You can actually play as your kid self?!

Alright, so this is the Tales of Thread, I got myself Tales of Vs.

One problem.

No [parasitic bomb] on gamefaqs to help me here. No controls. No guides.

So uh.. Anyone got any experience?

VixyNyan

Um alright here's the thing...

The controls are kinda the same as the Smash Bros series and a little bit of Dissidia too. You press a button and a direction to attack with different moves. Circle button is regular attacks, X button is the special moves. You jump by pressing up. You can only move your character with your D-pad. The Analog Stick changes attack mode (a little text thingy shows up in the corner of the screen). You can change all the moves and gain stat upgrades if you first level up a little bit and then head to a mode called EDIT (エディット). You can have 4 different moves. You can also buy things in the SHOP (ショップ) when they are available, but I think you need to level up first.

At the top-left of the main menu is the YGGDRASIL BATTLE (ユグドラシルバトル) and that's the main story mode of the game. You will be able to pick between 4 different teams with 2 characters each (from different Tales games). Then you will chat and stuff and then a fight starts. When you are on the World Map later, there will be a flag on some spots. If you go there, you will be able to capture a flag and advance the story a little bit (I guess >v<). There are other kinds of battles too, and side-events.

The battles themselves work like this: You have your regular HP and your magic points. Right at the top of those, a big number, that's your lives/stock/points, similar to the Stock Battle in Smash Bros. In this game, it's commonly known as a POINT BATTLE. If you don't have anymore stock, you lost the fight, so if your opponent has 3 stock, you have to beat them up 3 times. You can pick up items that randomly show up and then use them with the Triangle button.

The controls and movements of the characters feels a little too stiff most of the time. The characters are slow, and they don't do their special moves or attacks as quick as say the Smash Bros characters does. It's a different kind of game mechanic here, a bit slower than other fighting games. It's still a good game, just that reaction time to perform moves and avoiding attacks is different here, a little slower, than other games.

Hmm.. Okay, I think I kinda got it. Gonna need some work, though. At least once I can get stuff memorised it won't be so bad. Maybe make a list of what bar of moonrunes is what mode :P
