Yeah that would be awesome!

Hmm, maybe Iria from ToI...

anyone else here prefer the english VA's in this game?

Fxeni

Since they seem to be tossing in a mix of costumes now, and it seems mostly based on hair colour/style... hmm. Not sure who's outfit Rita will get.

Ephidiel

well then Iria would fit Rita in terms of Hair.
other than that maybe Shiina for the randomness
or to keep to the mage style Harold

Hmm... out of that list, Harold sounds the most likely to me. I guess we'll see in time.

waiting for monday, July the 13th
ToV PS3 demo will be out then, I hope i can dl it.

Acid

I don't think the gameplay will be much different.

Ephidiel

well i doubt that too but since i never played the Xbox360 version its quite new to me

Acid

Oh, I thought you already bought/played it.
Well I can tell you it's great. I'd rank it in my favorite Tales Games. And the PS3 version will have even more stuff to go for. Should they plan on releasing a PAL version I'll probably buy it again. Unless I'm poor then.

Edit: I just finished it. Final boss gave me a few problems. Because of that damn healing of his this turned into an endurance battle and I was low on items and TP.

But I took him down. Go me.

Fxeni

Is that the third form you're talking about, Acid? He was definitely more of a step up from the second form than I expected, that's for sure.

Acid

Yeah the optional one. He wasn't as hard I think. I definitely noticed the lack of status-affecting attacks. But he hit harder, faster, teleported a lot and that healing really wore my out. But he's gone now.

A question, I'm trying to get as much as possible now, so I'm following a walkthrough on GameFAQs. But I don't know how complete they are. Anyone here can confirm the quality of them?

borockman

They are quite good as far as know. I used it myself, but iirc I used two walkthroughs for reference.

What is it with Tales games having the most annoying optional dungeons ever? Most of them just aren't fun, with a few exceptions here and there of course.

STM

I didn't mind this one too much since it all amounts to straight lines and refighting slightly harder versions of all the games bosses. Boss refights are always fun... until you become so powerful, the bosses are like common enemies.

TAoR

It's always fun to be able to solo the hardest bosses in the game with Yuri on Unknown when you get to the max lvl.

STM

Traitor to the Heavens, to prevent spoiler-y deliciousness, is pretty damn hard on Unknown allegedly. Something like he can take down your absolute max HP in about four hits.

Acid

Aw I can't access the optional dungeon in this playthrough. I never did anything to unlock it on my first run, so I'll have to do it now so I can enter it in my THIRD playthrough. What a shame, I wanted to get as much as possible this time.

And I even have to finish this dungeon for the 200-Man-Melee. :C

Fxeni

While it's fun to run through the bosses again, it's not fun to have to go through the same place over and over again getting fricking fake gald. It's not as bad as Abyss' dungeon, though.

STM

Yeah, I hate how seemingly random getting fake gald is. It's such a pain in the ass to get 15, let alone one. Still, the place is a great area for leveling up rapidly in a 10x experience run. The only problem is that the sidequest to unlock is available only in mid-game in a really tiny window of opportunity. It's something I dislike about the Tales series, how strict the timing to some of these subquests are. It can get quite annoying if you get wrapped up by the game to enjoy the story but then suddenly remember you were working on a sidequest, only to go back to that point you needed to be and realize, "Oop! You missed it!"

It's really tedious and annoying game design.

Ephidiel

The Demo is out and its a different Demo than the360 version.
it also has Patty as a bonus in it.

Acid

Question,

what are the three onvitations required for the 100-Man melee?

STM

One from the Hunting Beasts, another from Leviathan's Claw, and another from the Royal Knights. I don't remember where you get the hunting blades', but you need to fight the twin fro get Leviathan's Claw's, and you need to go back to Aurnion after beating the game and talking to Flynn.

Fxeni

For the Hunting Blade's invitation, right before you go to Tarquaron, go to Keiv Moc Forest (I do believe that's the name). A scene should play out and voila.

Did Asbel's brother change his hair color and clothing or something?

Design change plox, I liked it before.
