Well, I managed to defeat the boss and gain arche, really, he's the toughest boss in the GBA version of ToP.

I haven't seen it yet, so I'll have a look at the trailer when I have extra time.

My short character usage opinion.

Judith is fun, but also hard. Just can't find the right combo for her. she got one abusable skill though (moonbeam!)

Raven is actually quite good. nice magic and nice long range skill.

Rita.... TIDAL WAVE. she's ok I guess... Overlimit is her lifeline.

Estelle is too slow for my taste. She's always on my party though

Karol is hard to get used to though, later he's quite awesome but still not your combo man.

Repede is my second best character. He's the speedster of the team.

Yuri is just a one man killing machine.

I'm good with balanced guys and speedsters. How fortunate that I wanted to play Yuri and Repede.

That's why he's my fave. 

Especially when you got all his battle skills late game.

Game's pretty awesome. I'm a sucker for cel-shading. And this cel-shading looks nice.

Yuri is a pretty cool guy. Estelle has a cute voice. Repede is a cool pet. And Karol... well I didn't have him for long.

Only thing I disliked about the story is how much they use those Yuri and Estelle scenes without much change to the general dialog. It's not so bad on first playthrough, but when you go through subsequent ones, you realize... 'My god... most of this game is literally them repeating the same damn thing until the final third of the game."

Hopefully they're removing the absurd number of those scenes in the PS3 version.

Heh, I'm not surprised that they tossed that in. Too bad the PS3 version will take forever to get here.

And what was that at the end, with everyone in Tales of the Abyss Costumes? Preorder bonus?

Ummm.... no, that's Azure Edge, the very first Arte Yuri has in the game. Not to mention, Demon Fang follows the ground in every of it's incarnations, that one doesn't.

I'd consider it if I had a PS3, depending on the quality of the stuff they're adding on. Looks substantial enough so far, mind you.

I like the Yuri has a somewhat unique fighting style.

MMMMM... Azure Edge and Demon Fang do share the same graphical properties, mind you. sometimes it's easy to mistake one for the other at times, most likely I might need to start playing more Tales games more.

Ah, the one I didn't get to play much of... that explains that one.

I don't find that they look all that similar though, but I guess that's just me.

Savage Wolf Fury is a damn cool Mystic Arte.

And so far I must say Yuri is probably my favorite Tales protagonist.

What's a nice place to farm Grade on my first playthrough?

Grade farming?

Make use of skill minimum damage.

and find some big enemy (like turtle)

Then combo and chain like crazy.

If you're tired just kill it with Fatal Strike.

Minimum damage, turn off all your teammates. Take control of Rita, use overlimit, and spam the hell out of Tidal Wave. The more enemies (and larger they are) the better... usually the boars around Halure are good for that. After a bit it really adds up. Don't forget to equip Blue Dice.
