Progress update:

-Total play time: 60 hours
-Total missions: 330 (246 by Kira)
-Total shot downs: 138.373 (106.586 by Kira)
-500550/1000 Gamerscore
-Got Achievement for defeating all Mobile Armors (Beating Devil Gundam with a mass-production unit, GM Command in this case, was a [tornado fang]ing nightmare)
-Got Achievement for assembling every playable mobile suit
-Got Achievement for finishing mission mode with 10 characters (Kira, Athrun, Shinn, Lacus, Amuro, Char, Kamille, Haman, Milliardo, Domon)
-Unlocked all characters except for: Glemy, Gyunei, Katejina, Reccoa, Sarah, Sleggar
-Unlocked all licences for Kira except Victory 2 and F91
-Befriended all characters except for Domon and M'quve (Trust) and Puru Two (Attraction)
-Currently part of Axis, serving the ever wonderful Haman Karn (finally)

I was wondering. I was doing Heero's story mode yesterday and could not proceed because I had to watch a certain cutscene first, something like "Don't you recognize him?". Any idea how to get that?

Oh, any in case nobody noticed yet, at least here on my side of the globe, the first set of free DLC is available in form of three new missions.

you have to do other characters mission modes to unlock other characters missions

I figured as much by now. Question would be, which? Obviously it cannot be the other Wing character, Milliardo, since I already finished his Story Mode. God, completely finishing this game will take forever...

I was more amused when I was playing as Haman and did the SP Combo with Milliardo.

LoL, and I don't understand how people actually like FLCL.  To each his own, my friend!
