RIP Jerry Nelson, the Count von Count, at age 78.

August 23, The man perhaps best known for his role as Count Von Count on Sesame Street, passed away at age 78, succumbing to emphysema.

Since 1970, he has been a regular on Sesame Street, again, most notable for his role as the Count von Count, and although he retired from puppeteering the character in 2004, he continued to volunteer his voice for the character.

He is survived by his wife, Jan. A daughter, Christine, had died of cystic fibrosis in 1982.

He's in a better place now.  Probably has a lot of games to play too, if you consider all the series Capcom has killed.
