Ok so the poll pretty much self explanatory. PB likes smug leaf alot but feels like he has to pick fire because he always picks fire (and that it burns). He doesn't like the fact that it ends up as a fighting/fire again. So I am here to see if RPM can help him out. The poll will be open until the games come out.

LoL, this poll ain't helping with [parasitic bomb]. I may like the look of Smugleaf more, but Fire is Fire and I still like my Fire Piggie.

Bah you are going to have a fire anyway at the beginning. Why use both? You said it your self you don't wanna use another fire fighting, hell you finally got your fire dragon. It's time to make a change. Now put the pokeball down....

I raise plenty of Fire Pokemon. In Silver, I had like 5-6. This shall be no different.

I also always chose fire..though I made 1 exception..Trecko. [tornado fang] yeah a 'sword' type starter!
So I say, pick whatever the [tornado fang] you like

Hmm, Smugleaf IS perfect for PB, but Pignite is adorable and I think Emboar is badass (the first evo SUCKS though). The problem is Fire/Fighting (still wish the could've given the Fighting part to Wotter).

...I say screw the poll and get them all.

I honestly don't see why people choose fire, I always go water, (Except for Emerald, then I chose Treecko.) I have better luck with water though.

I normally pick the fire type all the time, but this time I will be taking the grass type.
But that's only cause I've played Black and White choosing fire and water, so third time is for the grass.

Tepig is probably the best choice because he's the only dual typed starter when evolved. Originality be damned, Fighting is useful.

Anyway to tell you the truth I don't really like the starters in this game that much because unfortunatly I think Blaziken is too awesome and all other fighting fire starters are a rip off of him. However I'm still choosing the fire piggy because I like pigs and I want a giant rock turtle. So yeah I would choose between the fire piggy and the otter.

I always have chosen a Fire-type Starter Pokemon, though nothing will top Charmander as my favorite Starter Pokemon (and Charmeleon is my favorite Pokemon of all time), I have to say I'm going with the Grass-type Starter Snivy due to wanting my rival to have a cool type-advantage Pokemon over me and Bella (or Bianca, why did they change her name?) is perfect for the Water-type Starter so yeah.

But as soon as I get the chance to breed as soon as possible I'll breeding my Snivy so I can get Tepig and Oshawott later in a trade.

Her name was Bel, actually. And the names mean the same thing. But yeah, unnecessary change.

I've always picked the grass starter the first time through playing a generation. Don't know if I'll follow through with that in Gen V. I'll likely just pick what my friends didn't pick.

I've always gone grass but to be honest, Snivy's moveset is bone dry, but still beats Chikorita in useful stats.
The other two are as good as each other, but overall I'd say Tepig. Didn't go wrong choosing him on my Japanese Black!
