I will lock this thread after it's fully answered.

Are they giving PC games with Gaming Magazines in [INSERT YOUR COUNTRY HERE]?
Because they do in Poland. For example, quite [tornado fang]ing recently a Polish magazine called CD-Action(don't ask) gave us full version of DMC4 PC. Quite cheaply too. (It wasn't the first time when they presented us with such a thing)
So this got me thinking... are the international gaming mags doing this too? And do they often offer such big hits?
This thread isn't about me bragging "HURR DURR POLAND IS BETTER SUCK IT [Top Spin]s", but I'm just curious about this.

In Canada we get demos in our PC/Game magazines sometimes but I've never seen full games included though. Lucky you.  :o

All I remember is a similar story, Pizza Hut had PS1 demos of various games (basically, a couple of demos in a disc), which is why I came to know Tomb Raider, Spyro the Dragon, and the undead character Sir Dan in the first place. I don't remember much but I think I got Starcraft 1 through a magazine.

Other than that is whenever I got a Newtype Mag, I usually got a set of various pilot episodes of anime.

So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Only demo discs, never a full game.

Some Magazines had a subscription plan where you would get a free FULL game.

But most of the time, it was either a Game Disc with many playable demos inside, or a DVD filled with Game Trailers.

Yes, but that was a long time ago and no popular games like DMC4.
The magazine was called PC Plus, then it became 'The Official Windows Vista magazine' (no kiddding here) and it obviously went out of business

Okay.
Now, I understand my country even less.
Anyway, thanks for your replies guize. I'm closing this thread, since it seems my curiousity has been satisfied.
