Reviving this RPM post from a while ago.



Mega Man 1

Someone screwed up in the Music department.
Only Cut Man's stage is correct.

Music Tracks:
Guts Man stage: Fire Man track
Fire Man stage: Guts Man track
Elec Man stage: Ice Man track
Ice Man stage: Bomb Man track
Bomb Man stage: Elec Man track

The cellphone doesn't seem to handle multiple presses on the buttons, so you have to decide when to shoot, jump or walk, and that can be very frustrating. ^^

Game beaten! Stage Order: Elec, Ice, Fire, Bomb, Guts, Cut.
Score Attack: 593,800 points

Weapon Descriptions (as said in the game):

Mega Buster Plasma Bullets Single Shot	Rolling Cutter Scissor Blade Cuts like a knife
Super Arm Throws a block Splits into pieces	Ice Slasher Ice arrowhead flies forward
Hyper Bomb Tosses a bomb Timed explosion	Fire Storm Fire surrounds you Plus blast of fire
Thunder Beam Electric thread Front, top & bottom

The ending text is exactly the same as the original game, but printed on a complete black screen.
There's no Mega Man running home or Dr. Light and Roll waiting for him either.
And all you get is a Congratulations sign. The end text is translated in different languages too. o.o

The last stage is just a Boss Attack stage, where you meet all bosses one by one, and you only get recovery items after you beat the Robot Masters. They pop up in Robot Number order (Cut, Guts, Ice, Bomb, Fire, Elec).



We should discuss the other games too. ^^

I remember this. I think there's a version where Roll is playable, with the stage select theme replaced by her theme, and the charge shot add-on.

Instead of ladders, they should have replaced the Magnet Beam climbing with MORE APPEARING BLOCK SEQUENCES!!

I've seen videos.. but I don't think it's impossible to rip from them without the use of screen capturing the old fashioned way.

Cellphone games are probably very easy to emulate, but I guess no one bothers. Remember the guy who tried to teach us how to program Java games for cellulars. I don't think those games stray very far from there.

Why hasn't anyone ripped those sprites yet? This is the only 2D platforming game where Roll was playable, & equipped with a mega buster. Aren't cell phone game sprites rippable?

Well in any case, I'd think someone can try to get these spriets, and/or redraw them to fit megaman's nes 8bit size sprites, and make a roll fan game out of it.

I want Rockman Tennis and Rockman DASH Golf to come out in english. Along with the Five Island Adventure DASH game. There was also this crazy Classic series cell phone game that used motion sensing of some sort I believe that looked cool.
