As the URL suggests, it's been translated by the same guys too.
From what I've been told it's not nearly as kawaii uguu but also not as new and interesting as Recettear.

What is this game exactly?

I don't want to waste space downloading it if i'm not interested.

Acid

I might actually hop on the wagon this time.

I'll be able to tell you tomorrow after I've had some sleep and time to install the demo

Right, played around for a bit
It's an over-the-head third person action rpg sort of thing, like zelda if zelda didnt have items that were used in totally different ways, and did have items you can equip to increase your stats, and also a fun magic system.
Simple but fun, and pretty challenging. I've died a few times on the first (demo) dungeon, and it was always because I [tornado fang]'d up rather than the game screwing me over or being unfair.

Also, it seems there's at least one secret treasure in every area - on the overworld map you can see "Clear!" next to an area if you've found it.

So... two negative things?

So it's simple but fun. My type of game. I'll try it out as well.

Thanks.

You could already download it from the Carpe Fulgur page though.

wo anysay, game is out.
$7 and change
this is acceptable

http://www.carpefulgur.com/drakblog/?p=16 says there are a few minor technical changes from the original version; font system works better, joysticks are supported better, later bosses were touched up

I remember playing the game many years back. Cephi and I used to talk about it too. ^^

It's moments like this where we need some more Threads of Fate/Dewprism love. Anyway, screenies~

.... *paranoid by Chante* -_- '>.>

I definitely plan on buying this game. Although I haven't played the full Threads of Fate on my PS2 before it broke (I played the demo way back with a PlayStation Underground demo), but man it was like an early Kingdom Hearts to me. It's cool to see EGS make homages to it with their games and Carpe Fulgar bring them in English.

OBJECTION MAN

Looks really interesting. Demo is downloading now. I get the impression that this is the second or so of a series based on the discussion in this thread...

If I do indeed like the demo, and will purchase, is there anything I should be playing before I dig into this? Give me the low down, if you please.

Nah, there's no connection story-wise or anything, just a few references to Recettear (which EGS made after Chantelise; Carpe Fulgur just went with the more technically interesting game to bring over first).

OBJECTION MAN

Ah, I see. That one looks good too. Thanks!
