I was just thinking about this in the Mario Kart thread, and just thought I'd see what everyone else thought or could come up with.

Now, as we all know, Nintendo has a plethora of characters and universes that could be combined to form fun and awesome games, I.E. Smash Bros. Since the Smash Bros. series has undeniably been a hit, it's most likely inevitable that they will do it again in possibly different ways. The question is how. The other question is, how would you, the gaming RPMers out there, like to see them do it.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I think the Mario Kart series will eventually lead into a Nintendo Kart series, which could be very interesting in terms of items & karts. It might just be too crazy & item universal to work in a Mario Kart type atmosphere, but if done right, it could be interesting enough.

Now, a Nintendo RPG is probably the next, most logical progression. As I am not an RPG expert, I'm curious how the RPGers out there would like to see it done.

A Nintendo RTS game would also be interesting, but again, I know very little about RTS's either, so I'm curious how the RTSers out there would like to see it done.

A Nintendo vs. Capcom perhaps? I don't see any reason why not.

Anyway, throw out your ideas here!

NinCap is easily the one with the most potential, especially if they go in the tag fighter direction.

I approve and sincerely hope with all of my soul that a Nintendo VS Capcom happens.

Other than that, as I mentioned in the Mario Kart thread, I REALLY want a Smash Bros Kart now. Mario Kart characters in the usual karts/cars/no bikes, F-Zero chars in their usual futuristic cars, Fire Emblem chars in horses/pegasi/wyverns, etc. With guest appearances of Solid Snake in a metal gear and Sonic the Hedgehog by himself of course

Well seeing as how that idea seems to be gaining popularity, someone should maybe create a Nintendo vs. Capcom thread and showcase what characters they'd like to see on both sides, their fighting styles, what moves & supers you'd like them to have, and so on.

They should make a SRPG with all the characters. They already have experience with Fire Emblem, so why not?

Okay, let's take a look at Nintendo.

Currently, and for many, many years, the most important thing to them is their image of appealing to kids with all kinds of games. Let's se what would be predictable, and generally stable for them to create.

Fighting game alongside characters known to be violent? Only if they made it in a Smash Bros way.

An RTS would be impossible. No, Pikmin is not one.

A SRPG? This is Mario, not Fire Emblem. They'd want to make it much easier for everyone to play.

An RPG? This is possible, given that Mario himself has an RPG series. But they're quite simplified compared to most RPGs, so this new RPG would be the exact same thing.

But now that I think about it, crossover RPGs aren't really that common outside of the Tales series or Super Robot Wars, right? Other than Namco vs Capcom, I mean.

Maybe Nintendo should do an RPG or some sort of super awesome crossover that somehpow blends the best of all gaming genres into one cool game.

It could be done with their characters. I think they could make an RPG that appeals to all ages.

And the vs. Capcom series are pretty much kiddish already, so I think a Nintendo vs. Capcom could work. Haha, just no Pikachu, as he'd be Servbot tiny enough to avoid most attacks.

So would Kirby, but he has to be there. Unless they pull out a Megaman in MvC3 and put Dedede instead of him that is >__>

It could work consistingly in a Mario Party-like game. I don't think a fighter would work well. Not open enough the general audiences in terms of gameplay, and Nintendo likes to simplify thinks until they hurt.

The general audiences bought millions of SF4 and MvC3 anyways, not to mention the latter and its predecessor already have an extremely simplified mode in them already so I don't see why that's important.
