One of my favorite things about playing Mega Man rom hacks is hearing familiar (and some unfamiliar) songs in 8-bit. I had a buddy over at another forum covert the music from 7 MM2 rom hacks to mp3. I've named and tagged the files. Enjoy!

Best work in there is the proper tags for Constancy. :3
Most of the songs are in different lengths, most Stage Select tracks are too long.
I'll take my own NSF rips and create the soundtracks for RPM.

But still, good work. ^^

EDIT: Oh wait, every song that has a loop point was set to 3 minutes each... That's No Good~ 8D

The title for RnC were there because the person that did the NSF for them knew what each song originally was. I thought he was gonna cut some of the song lengths down like Stage Select as you mentioned but I guess he said "Screw it." Lol.

Sorry to bring this thread up from the dead, but has anyone ripped the music from Rockman 2 Grey Zone? It's got a really kick ass rendition of Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger and a bunch of 8-bit remixes from some Rock Man X games like Flame Mammoth's stage, Wire Sponge and even Jet Stingray's stage!

Oh yeah, here's some examples of the music from the game.

Flame Mammoth
Rainbow Road (The MK64 version!)
Jet Stingray
Corridors of Time! (and later Zero's theme from MMX2)

Someone rip these songs now! :D

I wasn't being pissy. I'd actually never heard of it, & you simply mentioning it gives me something to put into Google, so now I can play it. I meant no sarcasm whatsoever. But if you get me the link I'd be much appreciative. Either way's fine.

Edit:
We're just going in editing circles here. xD

It's cool. I'm sarcastic a lot, & since sarcasm is half tone & half context, it's bound to be misinterpreted in either direction half the time.
