Entertainment / Guess who was just at a Protomen concert?
« on: April 25, 2011, 12:58:49 AM »
THIS GUY RIGHT HERE
Holy [parasitic bomb] my ears are still ringing. They were playing at the Anime Punch convention in Ohio, which was the perfect opportunity for me to finally see them live. It was more fun than I ever could have imagined. Even before the concert I met up with some other Protomen fans and we just went around people watching and discussing Protomen and Mega Man stuff. Then the concert actually happened and, after moshing our way to the front, we were directly in front of an amp. My ears are still ringing from it. Prolly gonna bring earplugs next time, I even saw K.I.L.R.O.Y. wearing some. Anyway, really great experience, if you ever get the chance you should definitley go. Anyone else here ever been to one of their concerts?

« on: April 04, 2011, 02:44:33 AM »Because Airman is more famous for being unable to beat.Just for the record, you guys don't really believe that too, right? I'm getting sick of people who call themselves mega man fans saying how hard Air Man is to beat.

So at this point I figure I either have to go as the guy from Vice City, Hunter S. Thompson, or Magnum PI for Halloween. I have all the parts I'd need for any of them, but I have to choose which one to be by October. This will be problematic.
Huh... apparently my uncle died over the weekend in a solo motorcycle crash... yet I feel nothing right now... odd...Dude, that sucks. I feel for ya, I truly do. Did you know him well?

I can't wait for Nintendo to release a new version that gets rid of things people are complaining about.
And for Paper Mario.
And Legend of the Mystical Ninja 3D. I know they haven't announced it but who wouldn't want a new Legend of the Mystical Ninja?

Animal Crossing: Wild World
Name: Joebucks
Town name: Cityland
Friend Code: 4513-0340-5840
I left a few patterns at the front of the city, I'm sure they'd be good for something.
Don't you dare touch the plants. Other than that, go crazy.

Original / Re: What episodes of the cartoon series are these screenshots from?
« on: March 27, 2011, 08:31:45 PM »
Hm, the first one looks like it's from the opening. The third one clearly has Cutman's head, so I'm gonna guess the first episode. He hasn't taken Cut Man's power that much, if I recall correctly. 88 reminds me of Bro Bots, but that's a guess there. 91 looks like Future Shock, because I know they used nets all the damn time in that one. I'll try to study these more and see if I can help you out. Oh, but they're not all from the same episode if that's what you're asking.

Oh, wow, thanks a ton. Yeah, I was worried about length of these at first, but although I want this to be close to the show, I wanna keep them long. The other thing is that while I understand that having conversations in the middle of the text seems pretty unprofessional, but I assure you, that it is and I will not be changing it.
Okay enough of me being a douche. I see where you're coming from with the fanservice, and I'm gonna try to cut down the really blatant stuff, but at this point I'm trying to do two things: Introduce characters that will never show up again and blatantly sell toys. Toys that don't exist. God I am just going far with my life, aren't I? But still, if it doesn't reach a plateau by episode 5 I'll hit myself in the back of the head with a ball peen hammer, I promise.
And, you know, I was actually scared that my exposition was going to take away from the action scenes after shotgunning a few episodes of R-S one day. I... Don't quite know what to think any more. Thanks a ton for your input, this is actually the first broken down commentary I've ever had on this. Other than from Spud but he just wanted more shots of Roll's ass.

Wario Land 3. Good lord, if there's a better Game Boy platformer than Wario Land 3, I'd like to see it.
...Now I know I'd gotten farther than Pool of Water after I got the seed when I played it as a kid... Where the hell is that red key...

Fan Creations / SUPAH FYTING ROHBIT, SEASON 3
« on: March 16, 2011, 09:32:26 PM »Oh goodness, what's all this?
A few months ago, my friend and I began discussing Ruby-Spears after an RVA thread. We were talking about what a shame it was that the show didn't go into a third season right when it was starting to get good. I began to figure, that WAS a shame, but who would watch Ruby-Spears Mega Man if it was any good? Not I. So one day I decided to make a fan script, completely on a damn whim. And people liked it, to my surprise. Now writing this has become one of my main hobbies, and I'm starting to pour a lot of time and effort into these, doing my best to mirror the suck of the old shows while making it better at the same time. If that makes any sense at all.

I've already made a blog and posted it a few times on the RVA threads and Mega Man Generals on /v/, but I feel I'm not getting enough input from people. That's why I'm proud to place this, my blog, on Mega Man Perfect Memories. Keep in mind, there is quite a bit of lampshade hanging, and some of the jokes tend to get a bit raw in the later episodes. Especially those from my creative consultant Spud.
Without further ado, here it is, the link to my blog.
All of the fics I want posted at the time are on there, hosted on Google Docs until I can figure out a better document hosting site.

What if I went as The Stig for Haloween this year? How much do motorcycle helmets cost? How much does white spray paint cost? Should I repaint the helmet as a Joe helmet or get a new one and turn that into a Protoman helmet?

Wow, I finally got accepted to Mega Man Perfect Memories. Yep, sure is great to be here on Mega Man Perfect Memories where we talk about Mega Man and Bass and Proto Man and Dr. Light and Crash Man. I noticed you have a lot of Servbots from Mega Man Legends up in the smiley section. That's pretty neat. Anyway, I got into Mega Man fairly recently, mostly lurked on Mega Man Generals on /v/, but those were too sporatic. The only Mega Man threads I could count on were RVA's on friday nights.
I've lurked for a while and have tried to pick up on the mannerisms and such and such around here, but will not get it all spot on right away. Just point me in the right direction and I should be fine.
A little more info because I have a few minutes to kill,my favorite indisputably the best robot master is Charge Man, which is not an opinion but a fact. I'm a Protomen and Megas fan so basically I try to sprinke references to them into everything, which gets annoying for both me and the people who talk to me a lot of times. I am also a fan of the Ruby-Spears TV series. The suck, they don't follow canon, most of the show was just trying to sell toys, and I love it for that. Finally, I am not a fan of smileys. I will use them minimally. I will probably use the laughing one and the shades one and that's about it.
So yeah. That's Joebucks for ya.
