It's been a while since anyone here discussed anything relating to the world of [Rosenkreuzstilette. So I'll start filling you all in on what's happening recently:
-The Rosenkreuzstilette Fan Contest-
Started late January 2009, Schwer and Schwer Alike (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/) has started the Rosenkreuzstilete Fan Contest (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2010/01/its-contest-time.html) for those who wish to show their fandom of the series. Many judges will be judging the contestant's entry and decides the winner. The winner will receive a copy of Kiora's Rosenkreuzstilette doujinshi, Rosenkreuzstilette UnOfficial AfterStory which was release at Comiket 77. Rules and entry information can be found at provided links. All entries must be sent by April 1st, 2010
-Rosenkreuzstilette English Patch v1.06a-
With the release of version 1.06a, Darkside Translations is currently in the works of an English Patch for the latest version of Rosenkreuzstilette. Many of the issues found in the initial release will be address among other things. [link] (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2009/11/blades-of-rose-cross-update.html)
If you have anything you like to point out that Darkside Translations should see, please let these guys know here (http://www.miraigamer.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=76)!
-The new and improved Rosenkreuzstilette -Freudenstachel- trial version out now!-
The C76 version of Rosenkreuzstilette -Freudenstachel- is available for download at [erka:es] website since August 2009. And this demo shows that there is a lot of promise in this upcoming sequel. Here's what's new in the C76 trial:
- The game's Prologue is playable and you get to face off with Eifer Skute!
- Liebea's stage is not playable in this version of the demo. However, you get a sneak peek of Sichte Meister's new stage instead and the weapon Freudia gets from her.
- Zorne and Grolla has newly designed stages to play.

-The long and overdue delays of Rosenkreuzstilette -Freudenstachel--
Yes, unfortunately Rosenkreuzstilette -Freudenstachel- has been delayed (possibly) to Summer Comiket 78 due to unfortunate circumstances and [erka:es] inability to show up at Winter Comiket 76 for those who hasn't heard of the news by now. So we'll have to wait even longer until the long awaited sequel becomes available. Sorry... :<
------
If you want to talk about anything Rosenkreuzstilette-related, this is thread to go~!
One more thing: Luste owns! owo
Wait, we seriously haven't had a dedicated thread for RKS before? I find that very hard to believe.
And that bugfix things perplexes me. My laptop has Windows 7, and it plays RKS perfectly.
Maybe it was never restored post-crash? I remember seeing one too.

It's possible that it was locked after being SuperJustified!

Are you talking about the "Rosenkreuzstilette -Freudenstachel- Has a Release Date (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=436.0)" thread that got locked because of Superjustinbros.?
No, not a news thread, but another general RKS discussion thread here. It might've been pre-crash.
Speaking of which, did that second game ever even come out?
To Cephi: I've made the update of the news above about that.
To Sato: This is a general RKS thread, the recent news up there is to fill anyone in who hasn't heard of anything about RKS lately, like the delays of -Freudenstachl-.
So, what you're favorite weapon? Mine is Luste's rendition of the Metal Blade. >w<
Wow, demo still o.o Awww I guess they really got held up
Yeah, like that poster I have in my room: Sh*t Happens... but I did find something neat in the demo. Read all about it here (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2009/10/freudenstachel-secrets.html).
Was there ever a cited reason of why they couldn't be at C76? What kind of things held them back, and such?
I mean, I'm happy to see that the fan base has still done a lot to be supportive, but c'mon now, erka! 8D
Maybe the time away has at least been fruitful to some degree. I'm hoping for more than just Grolla as a secret char this time.
Still have yet to touch these games
Same here, they look very interesting and fun to play too! I gotta try these games out!
Yeah, I'm also very curious for their reasons about their delay...
@ GothamAnswer and VirusChris:
You can download the trail versions of Rosenkreuzstilette and Rosenkreuzstilette -Freudenstachl- from [erka:es] website. You can also download the English Trial version of Rosenkreuzstilette from Darkside Translations.

Rosenkreuzstilette English Trial Version (http://www.darksidetranslations.com/projects/rks-trial.exe) by Darkside Translations (http://www.darksidetranslations.com/index.php)
@ Dr. Wily II:
My guess is that it was developmental issues. The latest update to the trial version was easier than the original v0.03a trial and the C75's prototype (v0.01a) versions of the game. I have to get in touch with TrickMasterMint of Schwer and Schwer Alike with that.
It's about time RKS saw some attention on the Rockboard since the English version was released. Vixy said that she'd be making a news post when there was something to report, but I haven't seen anything aside from Viper's review in eight months (strangely, a Japanese-only minigame in the Lucky Star PSP game warranted a mention...). I don't like popping in places for the sole purpose of plugging my own projects, so I'm glad Viper brought up the subject.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Darkside Translations (http://www.darksidetranslations.com/) and Dark Translations (http://www.darktranslations.com/) are not one and the same. One handles translations of all kinds, while the other focuses almost exclusively on [twin slasher]-themed porn games (naturally, the second link is totally not work-safe.). Please don't confuse the two. We predate Dark by a good seven years (even though we only released one project during that time...); it's just a coincidence that our names are so similar.
That said, Mint has been in close touch with [erka:es] lately. If I'm understanding the situation correctly, Isemiya and WOMI were facing problems in real-life and have not been able to touch Freudenstachel for quite a while as a result. That's also why they couldn't attend the last Comic Market. I'm not about to fault them for keeping their priorities straight; I've had similar problems with my job hunt and my father nearly being killed a few months back (incidentally, today's his 65th birthday).
Anyway, if you like what you see in the demo, be sure to pick up the full version of the game from DLsite (http://eng.dlsite.com/adultcheck/=/_query/http%253A%252F%252Feng.dlsite.com%252Fwork%252F%253D%252Fproduct_id%252FRE051185). The full translation (http://www.darksidetranslations.com/projects/rksb-english.exe) was released back in July; the v1.06a patch will implement the latest executable and tweak a few things here and there. Ryusui for Breath of Fire II fame (http://www.destructoid.com/destructoid-interview-breath-of-fire-ii-translator-ryusui-132649.phtml) is currently touching up the script, but that won't be finished for a little while.
@ TDOMMX:
I apologize for the mistakes that I've made. Once again, my tendency to over-look something or making some sort of big mistake is often a problem of mine when I type quickly with a lot of text. I'll go make the corrections now...

So... anyone want to discuss something about the series, like the characters, weapons, scenery, favorites, the story? =\
Quote from: ViperAcidZX on March 16, 2010, 10:15:50 PMSo... anyone want to discuss something about the series, like the characters, weapons, scenery, favorites, the story? =\
Sure. :)
Personally, I enjoyed the game's soundtrack. My favorites are probably Luste's theme, the Stage Select theme, and the Weapon Get theme.
Well, if anyone hasn't heard by now, the RKS Fan Contest has been extended to April 15th.
What the hell happened to the Freudenstachel news thread?
Well it appears that ol' Letty (aka TrickMasterMint) is going through internet difficulties, so the deadline for the Fan Contest is delayed until further notice...

Well, since there hasn't been much activity in this thread, plus now that I'm a member of Schwer and Schwer Alike, I should probably write something.
Aside from a small preview of Trauare's sprite in
~Freudenstachel~, there has not been any official updates from [erka:es] in terms of official concept artwork, or screenshots/videos of
~Freudenstachel~ itself. I predict the full game will be released by
August 22, 2010 the latest, which is only two months away from the current date. (If it doesn't get delayed a third time)

For all that we've been made to wait, Freud's game should hopefully be a full-fledged sequel by now.
Also, it would be appreciated if not only Grolla and Tia returned, but all of the bosses could be playable characters, not unlike how things were done in Rockman Rockman/MMPU. After all, I still would love to play as Sichte. 8D
We'll see though...
Well, I just pray that something doesn't happen to WOMI, Isemiya, or anyone at [erka:es] that would make them cancel ~Freudenstachel~ altogether and make all the waiting and anticipation all for nothing. ;O; If they any other character in the RKS becomes playable, Luste is immediately going to be my mainly used character.
Well, the current scheduled release date for RKSF will come in about two more weeks, and since they haven't announced any sings of fallback (delaying or canceling), I can assure that we will be seeing ~Freudenstachel~ this summer.
In the meantime, just incase anyone's interested (not sure if I should post this, but...), I did make a forum that is for Rosenkreuzstilette-excluvise discussion half a year ago. Here's the link if any of you are interested: http://grollaseyfarth.forumotion.com/ (http://grollaseyfarth.forumotion.com/)
Well Letty has finally came back with some updates regarding the fan contest, plans of interviewing [erka:es]' Isemiya and WOMI to get better insight of the Rosenkreuzstilette series for the Westerners, and Letty has plans to make a fan-made light novelization of Rosenkreuzstilette ~Grollschwert~.
Full post: http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2010/08/there-is-nothing-my-posting-cannot-cut.html
If you any questions you'd like to ask [erka:es], comment and Letty will see what he can do. I've sent in some of my questions already.
Well, the [erka:es] blog was updated yesterday, and it appears ~Freudenstachel~ has been delayed for a third time.
http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2010/08/freudenstachel-delayed-yet-again.html
Pfft. They should rename it Rosenkreuzstilette Forever.
It's official: the game's f*ckin' delayed - AGAIN! (http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/diary/index.html)

There is a new post on Schwer and Schwer Alike. Apparently RKSF got delayed again.

Hopefully, the delays will just make the game better. Part of me still hopes that eventually, they may be able to make like MMPU and have it so every "RKS Master" can be playable, and have their own play-styles and story modes.

I can straight up tell you right now that such a scenario is not going to happen.
Yes it won´t happen...especially since some characters would be too broken, like Liebea.

I know this is late and all, but [erka:es] has stated they're back on RosenkreuzStilette ~Freudenstachel's~ development, plus WOMI's got a new artwork of Luste Teuber. owo
Hopefully this game will see it's Summer Comiket 80 release this year. In the meantime, I've got the old demos of ~Freudenstachel~, both C75's beta and the C76 Wed Trial versions, for anyone how wants to try these out before the new demo arrives.
RKSF C75 Beta: DL (http://www.mediafire.com/?c60lo7eukbu8zgs)
RKSF C76 Web Trial: DL (http://www.mediafire.com/?8p6v9zaokvfdjyk)
Now back to working on my guide...
I wanted to mention that the [erka:es] staff blog was just updated recently, and now includes our first official look at Liebea's brother Karl, and wraps up the "alternative character story-line" rumor that has been present for a while.
http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/diary/index.html (http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/diary/index.html)
Just look at the screenshots on the blogpost and you'll see how Karl is doing his Castlevania impression. :P

That all in RKS...oh the joy >.>
So Kahl is as studly as Simon Belmon from Castlevania: Judgment (http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090424044624/castlevania/images/b/b4/Simon.jpg) yet his in-game sprite looks as bulky and burly as John Morris from Castlevania: Bloodlines (http://i.imgur.com/8YUhf.png)?
*cues obligatory Castlevania music* (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sX3fjpkFwk)
I can't wait for the day when Trauare becomes playable and handles like Eric Lacarde slash Leviathan from MMZ. 8D </joking>
But still, I'm curious how Kahl's gameplay will be like in ~Freudenstachel~. ^^ Hope he can stack up with Reimu Belmont (http://en.touhouwiki.net/images/4/46/C01reim.png) from the Koumajou Densetsu series.
Of Belmonts and Paleschs (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/04/of-belmonts-and-paleschs.html)

Just to fill in everybody here if you haven't been keeping up with the recent events of Rosenkreuzstilette: progress of RKSF's development is slow-going (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/05/overdue-update-i-guess.html), but it's better than being canceled; that and WOMI has made a new e-mail to stray people far way from his NSFW site (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/05/another-freudenstachel-update-zounds.html), so if you have questions to ask, there's the new e-mail safe for the general public. And despite what some people may have heard, Rockin' Android is not going to localize Rosenkreuzstilette (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/06/remember-when-rockin-android-said-theyd.html).
I wanted to see how Keiko Sakurai can do re-making Luste... TwT;;
Just a quick update: So far there is no signs of Isemiya, the main programer of Rosenkreuzstilette to be seen as of late, leaving WOMI, artist of the series, to work where he left off. Read all about it here (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/06/rksf-update-psmo-edition.html), here (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/06/womis-latest-update-part-1.html), here (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/07/womis-latest-update-part-2.html), here (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/07/womis-latest-update-part-3.html), and here (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2011/07/womis-latest-update-part-4.html).

Nope. That was a segment from one of the MP3s Tristan MacAvery sent me back in August. I thought my next bowel movement would consist of bricks when I read his email and heard the clips - a mere two hours after I first contacted him, no less. I had a bit of trouble sedating my inner fanboy while recording the announcement, which is why my voice sounds a little odd (well, that and I'd just recovered from an acute case of bronchitis).

Yep. Kira's great, isn't she? Her takes on Tia, Lilli, Luste, and Iris are all awesome. Her Trau isn't bad, either. Only three of the roles have been cast as of this writing, though. I have yet to hear renditions of Freudia, Grolla, Sichte, and Liebea that I'm fully satisfied with.

Heheheh. Incidentally, Alex and I will be handling the directing for Darkside Montreal. Cristina and Mint will be handling the directing for Darkside California (or is that Zeppy California?), with me attending via teleconference.
My mantra: if you're not going to do a job you can be damned proud of, you shouldn't be doing it in the first place - let someone who knows what they're doing handle it instead and take the opportunity to learn from them.

By the way, it's TDOMMX, not TDOMXX. When people see photos of me from before I shaved off my mustache, they could swear I looked like an out-of-work porn star. I don't need anything else tacitly reinforcing that idea, even if unintentionally.
I took some time to listen to the *mp3 on the other blog post you made earlier after making the posts here. And I try to practice typing fast, but I usually make those kinds of mistakes.. Would it be better if I refer to you as "Darkside" instead?

Yep. Patrick makes an awesome Mister Zeppy. owob

My mantra: if you're not going to do a job you can be damned proud of, you shouldn't be doing it in the first place - let someone who knows what they're doing handle it instead and take the opportunity to learn from them.
Again, Studio SiestA should take notes and stop hiring bad translators to localize any doujin games that might be coming to XBLA (Trouble Witches NEO! annoyed me enough already with the bad translations and dubbing, although I kinda use the "two sides of every coin" approach with this game since the awful localization can be seen as funny as Castle Shikigami II's English localization).

Darkside is the name of our group. Yes, the 'D' in my handle also stands for "Darkside", but the two are not interchangeable. You can call me just "TDO", if you prefer - keeping in mind that my proper handle is TDOMMX.

To be fair, Kira did an excellent rendition of Freudia's "I'll lay you to rest on a cool bed of ice..." that literally gave me chills. On the whole, though, I didn't think the role of Freudia suited her. Amanda really surprised me with how well she portrayed Liebea's emotional incontinence (this girl deserves a prize for the energy she puts into her performance - just listen to her Zorne), but, again, her voice didn't quite match what I was looking for. Nobody has auditioned for Grolla and Sichte just yet; Mint is fully prepared to propose to whoever is cast as Grolla (I wish I was kidding...).
We're still recruiting voice actresses, so if you know someone who has talent and wouldn't mind coming to either California or Montreal for the voice recording (or has access to a home studio that would allow them to phone in their performance), please spread the word. I'm hoping to have a good chunk of the voices ready before the snow hits (pun not intended, but it works).

Not a member of the "so bad, it's good!" camp here. I think the voicework for both
Castle Shikigami /
Castle of Shikigami titles is just plain bad.
Castle Shikigami 2 had a terrible translation and an obvious lack of care, but
Castle Shikigami III's campiness was intentional. Shame. To me, that's a sign of disrespect when the game is intended to be taken seriously (like, say,
Symphony of the Night). On the other hand, I welcome it when the title is supposed to have a self-deprecating sense of humor ("I HAVE FURY!").
Atrocious works like
The Room should never receive the amount of respect and acclaim that they have garnered over the years. Sadly, it seems like the future predicted in
Idiocracy is a likely possibility, seeing entertaining works that have valuable messages to convey be overshadowed by tripe staunchly defended with the phrase, "what do you mean, it's not awesome?!"... This applies to video games, too. Why was
Okami a commercial flop while Madden can release the same game over and over again with no penalty and even
Big Rigs has sold more than ten times as well...?
Okay, enough of that. Rant over.

This is the plan anyway. I have to kinda figure out how I'm getting out there, but hey, it'll work somehow.

I'm seeing a fan translation of the PC version of Shikigami no Shiro on another forum, and hope those guys will get the translations of game right. From what I'm seeing they're working on Shikigami no Shiro EX (the first game's Japanese PC port). Hopefully they'll work on the sequels afterwards.
That, and I might of encouraged them to make a translation patch of the original PC
Trouble Witches Episode 1 ~Children of Amalgam~ with a simple mention (and a stab at) of how terrible Trouble Witches NEO's! localization quality is on another forum. Speaking of NEO, why Studio SiestA, why did you cut the characters' stories short? I've compared Aqua's opening dialogues scenes in both PC and NEO, and the opening in NEO is much shorter and cuts some potentially crucial bits of the story. Is it me or Japanese game developers give less of a [parasitic bomb] for storylines in shooters these days? First Triggerheart Exelica on XBLA is guilty of this (and to put salt on the wound, put it back in "No export for YOU" PS2 port with fully-voiced dialogue), now other developers wants to do this too?!
And before I get corrected on this, I know the subtitle for Trouble Witches 1 is ~
Daughters of Amalgam~, but Amalgam has a son...

Well there's only the need to translate the first two games, as the third's Wii port was near perfect with it's dialogue. And on the topic of RKS, WOMI posted several new screens on his dev-blog, including boss prelude dialogue scenes with Zorne and Sichte.
I was able to complete Shikigami 3 on 360 (all achievements) a long time ago, even tho it was the Japanese one. (http://www.trueachievements.com/SHIKIGAMI-NO-SHIRO-3-xbox-360.htm?gamerid=284902)

Other than RKS and Mega Mari, there's also Touhou Koukayaku: The Game (a Touhou: Unidentified Fantastic Object classic MM fangame by Peposoft packaged with a Touhou doujin album by Conagusuri), GIGADEEP (a free but somewhat buggy MMX parody, also from the makers of Koukayaku: The Game), Ragna Chronicles (a MMX-styled Ragnarok Battle Offline doujin game), and the unfortunately D&C'd Rockmen R: Dr. Wily's Counterattack (a fan-sequel to MM9 staring Roll). If I recall correctly, there's another Touhou-meets-Mega Man doujin game called "TAKOMAN" or something, but nonetheless fans and indie devs are putting Capcom to shame. XD
Really hope there'll be a store that will stock up on physical copies of RKSF and can ship internationally for anyone wanting to hold the game in the palms of their hands.

For anyone looking for a challenge, there's a new version of RKSF that depletes your starting Health to one point, and you can't increase it in any way. Checkpoints and 1UPS are much less scarce, though.
You can get it here: http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/diary/index.html (http://kurotama.sakura.ne.jp/diary/index.html) Just place the exe into the same folder as the standard Freudenstachel and you're all set!

There's also a Rosenkreuzstilette Freudenstachel [Я05] disc containing the development history of Freudenstachel. From what I hear it will be distributed along with copies of the two games at the next Comiket. So of anyone's going this August, make sure you pick up a disc.
*blows off the cobwebs of this thread* 8D
So it has been two years since anything has been reported on this thread and things has been very hush-hush. Well I got some fantastic news for RosenkreuzStilette fans. It has been a long time (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.ca/2011/10/answer.html) since the announcement of the English voice-over project by TDOMMX, but at long last, the official English localization of RKS and RKSF is finally coming to fruition but they need our help. Darksquid Media (it's Darkside Translations, the same folks behind the fan-translation of RosenkreuzStilette) has opened up a Prefundia (http://prefundia.com/projects/view/dubbing-rosenkreuzstilette/5293/) to fund the project and they need $11,200 USD for recording, translation, and provide physical copies of the games. There's more: stretch goals include a translated version
RosenkreuzStilette Freudenstachel Я05 artbook, 8-bit arrangements of the series' music by Mathew Valente (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HDO18Yf1Jg) of
Chrono Resurrection (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcm6B366q-8) fame, Limited Edition physical copies, help give the voice-actors who helped lend their talents voicing the RosenkreuzStilette series something extra for their work, and fully-voiced dialogue! And who are the actors do we owe our thanks to lending Darksquid Media a hand?
Emily Koch: Spiritia Rosenberg
Kira Buckland: Lilli, Luste-chan~ <3, Iris Zeppelin
Sarah Wiedenheft: Freudia Neuwahl, Doris Warmind, Eifer Skute
Amanda Lee: Zorne Zeppelin, Liebea Palesch
Sarah Blandy: Grolla Seyfarth, Recht and Link Refraktia
Natalie Van Sistine: Sichte Meister
Rina Adachi: Schwer-Muta Casasola Merkle
Lucas Schuneman:Raimund Seyfarth
Tristan MacAvery: Count Michael Zeppelin
Jennifer Alyx: Strudel
Skyler Davenport: Pamela Arwig
Amanda Berning: Burkhardt Maid(?)
Amber Lee Conners: Schirach Fühler
David Hill, Jr.: Kahl Palesch
Charles Trudel: "The Voice"
At the risk of sounding like a beggar, please do everything you can to get the word out about this and help the official English localization of RosenkreuzStilette become a reality.

This looks pretty neat. I think I feel another race with Zan coming on.
It appears there are some complications that arose in trying to find a way to crowdfund the games' localization according to TDOMMX's latest post at Schwer and Schwer Alike, but the team's looking for an alternative way to get things going as planned. In the meantime, definitely give their developer diaries a read (entries #1 (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2015/09/rks-developer-diary-1-title-screen.html), #2 (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2015/09/rks-developer-diary-1-title-screen.html), #3 (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2015/09/rks-developer-diary-3-german-language.html)), very insightful stuff to be found.
Incase anyone's interested, here's #4 (http://schwer-muta.blogspot.com/2015/09/rks-developer-diary-4-choose-your.html) of the dev diary, including the localized stage select screen and some info on the cast's names.
A bit late, but here's an update with what's going on with the games' official English localization. The team at Darksquid Media have been busy with Canadian Election, a staff member switching between day jobs, and changes going on in TDOMMX's work schedule and responsibilities. So this will be affecting how much time they can put into working on the localization of the RosenkreuzStilette series, but thankfully this hasn't affected things are working out for the localization and their jobs outside of the games' localization does give them some time to think about solutions in case they run into any problems without affecting their momentum.
Things, however, aren't looking bright for Tristan MacAvery (http://myanimelist.net/people/5534/Tristan_MacAvery), who may know as the voice of
Neon Genesis Evangelion's Gendo Ikari, the narrator of Fire Emblem, Diol from
Slayers: The Motion Picture, among many others, and lending his talents to voice Count Michael Zeppelin. Now out of respect of his privacy, TDOMMX don't divulge into the specifics of his situation, but it has him feeling pretty depressed. In an earlier blog post from TDOMMX, Tristan drove all the way from Syracuse to their place in Montreal to record his lines for Count Zeppelin and did it pro bono but team at Darksquid Media give him something for helping out. Now I wasn't aware of this, but Tristan MacAvery is also a writer, and a very good one; he has put out a bunch of titles under his real name (http://[url=http://www.amazon.com/Tristan-MacAvery/e/B006FPQICI/) and a few under his Cheyenne tribal name, Tristan Black Wolf (http://www.amazon.com/Tristan-Black-Wolf/e/B0139UUU8O/). Tristan has recently started a Patreon to help support his writing career. He also gave TDOMMX an autographed copy of his latest book,
The Laputan Factor, as thanks for having him over.
The Laputan Factor, going by TDOMMX's word, was something that he couldn't put down once he started reading it. In his words, the story felt like something from the works of Kotaro Uchikoshi, the author of the
Infinity series (
Never 7 (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VisualNovel/Never7),
Remember 11 (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VisualNovel/Remember11),
Ever 17 (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VisualNovel/Ever17),
12 Riven (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VisualNovel/TwelveRiven), and

Zero Escape (

Virtue's Last Reward (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/VisualNovel/VirtuesLastReward)),
Steins;Gate (http://myanimelist.net/anime/9253/Steins;Gate), and
Punch Line (http://myanimelist.net/anime/28617/Punch_Line). If you can help him out, you can pledge as little as $1 though $5 can get you a digital copy of
The Laputan Factor (and a free copy of one of his future releases), but feel free donate what you can give him. And for a little fun fact, Martian "Dream & Nightmare" Tessnow, Darksquid Media's German translator, drew the cover art and illustrations for
The Laputan Factor, and Tristan was the one that introduced them. Here's a video review from one of Tristan's Patreons of his latest book that TDOMMX shared in the blog post.
You can also read up on the first three chapters of the book for free to give yourself a taste of what it has to offer.

Hello, everyone.
I just popped in to announce that the official English version of Rosenkreuzstilette will be available on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/564150) and the Playism (http://playism-games.com/game/308/rosenkreuzstilette) storefront next week. I could gush about what the game is like, but I think a trailer would do the job faster. If you consider yourself an old-school gamer, I can guarantee you're going to love it.
http://youtu.be/j436-Xoz2uo (http://youtu.be/j436-Xoz2uo)
Full-Disclosure: I'm the lead programmer / graphics editor / localization specialist at Darksquid Media (formerly Darkside Translations). My crew and I translated the game entirely for free back in 2009. A few years later, we were scouted to handle the official release of the game and its sequel. The rest is history. owob
How much will it cost? It doesn't seem to list that on Steam.
As far as I'm aware, the game will be priced at $9.99 USD. Steam typically discounts the game by 10% at launch, so you should be able to grab it for $8.99. That's quite a bit cheaper than DLsite's asking price for the Japanese version of the game. When I first bought the game years ago, it was around $14.

2. Can we merge this post with my RKS Thread (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=3763.0)?
3. I think you messed up posting the video on Rockman PM, so allow Phi to help you get up to speed with the changes here (http://forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php?topic=7437.0) and I'll fix it up for you.
4. I know what I'm getting (early) for my birthday alongside my copy of Mega Man Legacy Collection (3DS).

How much will it cost? It doesn't seem to list that on Steam.
Seems to be up on Steam now, but I'd rather get it on Playism since you score a DRM-free copy as well as a Steam key.
Glad to see this is finally coming. Can't wait for Freudenstachel.

AND a Steam key?? Maybe I will do that then.

It's good to support the smaller guys, especially they can kill two birds in one stone.

I forgot RPM's policy on necroposting; since your thread hadn't been touched in over a year, I erred on the side of caution and started a new one.

Yep. I wish I'd known that before I bought my
Ys &
Trails in the Sky games for the fourth time. That's not an exaggeration; I imported them directly from Falcom, bought 'em on PSP from Xseed, grabbed 'em again on PC through Steam, and again, DRM-free, on GOG. I never knew that Humble was offering both
unbranded DRM-free versions and Steam keys...
Oh, before I forget, I'll just leave this here:
http://youtu.be/P37FRi2Ojps (http://youtu.be/P37FRi2Ojps)
It's not ours, but we wish it was. Fans can be awesome sometimes.
Well,
RosenkreuzStilette: Finally bought on Playism after all these years. However, I gave my Steam key to friend out of kindness and I'll have a good excuse to buy it again. I'll definitely give the Story Mode a play to see what the revised localization is like.

Well wouldn't be the first time I've picked up a game multiple times when I can afford them; I've gotten
Resident Evil 4 twice on Wii and Steam (Wii edition was a Christmas gift, and Ultimate HD Edition was a little something for the Steam Summer Sale a few years ago),
Beat Hazard at least three times (the original and Ultra on XBLIG, again on Steam thank to a Summer Sale, and another for a physical version of vanilla Beat Hazard), twice for
RayStorm (one being a phyical copy of its PC port and another for its HD remaster on XBLA), and
Mighty No. 9 twice (Wii U being a belated Christmas gift, and bought again during the Steam Sale last year). I'm not sure if the XBLA compilation of the
Streets of Rage series counts as having three versions of each game since you have access to three regional versions of
Streets of Rage,
Streets of Rage 2, and
Streets of Rage 3 (the North American, European, and Japanese versions to be exact).
Just finished it today, still a great homage to the Blue Bomber as I remembered all these years ago, and it was also fun to revisit the game with the revised localization, you did a great job with it TDOMMX, the story felt like it had more weight than before and dialogue flowed nicely. Can't wait to sink my teeth into Freudenstachel when it hits Playism.
And on a different note, aside from requesting a merging this to my actual RosenkreuzStilette thread, guess this Mega Man/Mighty No. 9 fan's name in the Special Thanks. :3

Hello, sorry for this years late reply but. I want to ask how can i get this "without" requiring steam ?? I have the original game with the 1.05c version english patched...and i'm more than willing to pay for this again for the 1.06 update originally from the japanese author's site but... I cant get this through steam.
I think i suffer from one of the 1.05c bugs mentioned on the japanese site about "the game will not run in certain enviorments" which was fixed in 1.06 - because sometimes i'll be able to run/open it just fine, but say a week or so later it wont ever run anymore unless i completely reboot my PC... this was fixed in 1.06 i understand, and thats why i wanted the new english version (not japanese)
Why does the "playsim" page just link directly to the steam website at all ?? I thought it could be bought/downloaded seperately there instead as an alternative, this playsim site is completely useless. :(
I wanted to get the actual folder with the game like it was originally...how can i do that, or if there's any other sites to get this from ?? without being forced to have steam or whatever.
I've attempted to comment on the blog where TDOMMX is from, but it always says "cant connect to blogger.com" whenever i try to post... -- all the links from the rosenkreu wikia page i found are all "page not found" ...and his own "contact us" page on his blog is gone too. :( (page not found)
