Naruto, if only for completionist's sake, and My Lovely Ghost Kana. I'm not big on ongoing series, I prefer stuff I can get and read on a single sitting.
Oh, and FLCL too. Just got hold of the manga a few days ago.
I'm reading Naruto and One Piece. Naruto for the fact that at some (most?) points it's like a train wreck: you want to look away, but you just can't. And One Piece is just...well, One Piece. 8D
You'll laugh at me, but I've been reading the Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask mangas xD

- One Piece
- Eyeshield 21
- Toriko
- HxH
- Claymore
- Hajime no Ippo
- and many more including Naruto, Bleach, D-Grayman, Reborn, To Love-ru, Sket dance and so on...

Misty.
In the uncensored version, her swimsuit during her gym battle with Ash is very revealing, in the censored version, the swimsuit becomes a wetsuit.
Also, her normal attire of shorts and sleeveless top is significantly longer in the censored version.
Do tell. If I get the chance, I might see the scans.
I'm currently reading Ai Ga Tomaranai and Change123.
A whole lot that I'm still waiting for new volumes to come out and/or buy. But I started reading Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and Gimmick now.

Yubisaki Milk Tea, Koe de Oshigoto, Change 123, Kodomo no Jikan, Getter Robo Go, No Bra.

Not really a manga but a light novel, I just finished STAGE 1 of the CODE GEASS - Lelouch of the Rebellion novelizations. I've also already preordered STAGES 2, 3 and 4, as well as the novelization of R2, TURN 1.
Add Kuroko no Basuke to my manga list.
Quite unique main protagonist.
Is anyone else reading Psyren? I'm liking it quite a lot.
*Raise hand*
Yeah, I like it. It is actually getting pretty good now.
Now do anyone here actually read Toriko?
Not really, what's it about?
You know, somedoy I should start reading the rest of Jump's series. The ones that are not getting canceled soon anyway (Double Arts ;_;).
Oh Toriko?
The basic gist of it, awesome food hunting shonen. Complete with mouth watering food and rival hunters. 8D
Ok, I began to read that and I must say that I'm liking it. Also, wow, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually think that Toriko could give Goku and the Saiyans a run for their money in a freaking food eating contest, that should be humanly impossible! XD
No one beats Fu in a Food Eating contest!

Ok, so I caught up with the current scanlations for Kinnikuman, started Beelzebub (give it a chance, it has potential XD), and I think I'll read the RAWs for Neuro since the scanlations are taking long.
Chibi Vampire whenever I get my hands on an issue. Other than that, nothing.
Ok, so I just finished Yuyu Hakusho.
I don't like how there haven't been any new translated Toriko chapters, or that Neuro ends next week (D:).
Anyways, what would you guys recommend me to read next? I was thinking of HunterXHunter, and I also stopped reading Rosario+Vampire II when it looked like the ice girl was gonna get raped, so maybe I could catch up with that, or I could try a series that you'd suggest.
Hunter x Hunter is certainly good.
Now for comic... Konjiki no Gash bell? or Samurai Deeper Kyo?
If it's in One Manga I may give it a try, I don't feel like hunting the internet for translations DX
[parasitic bomb], I forgot I have yet to finish reading RuroKen. Add that to my list.
Lets see, now my list is:
-HunterXHunter
-Rurouni Kenshin
-Fruits Basket (I liked the 19 or so volumes I read years ago. The translations are back on OM, right?)
-Soul Eater
-Konjiki no Gashbell (maybe)
-Samurai Deeper Kyo (maybe)
Any other suggestions? No seinen please.
They're both in onemanga.
Hmm, what else... Slam Dunk?
Japanese consider it the best Jump manga ever, so eh, why not.
One of the best sport manga ever. The last match of the series is still givin me goosebumps.
Whatever.
In a rather interesting (and very welcomed) change of pace, I'm reading the Emma: A Victorian Romance manga, having finally found the entire 52 chapters translated through a friend of mine. :D

It's nice. A bit convoluted at times, due to the sheer amounts of characters that show up and the insane amounts of relationship backs and forths, but passably nice.
[tornado fang], what was the name of that manga... it was previewed in Shonen jump, it was about this short kid and his partner and they solved cases of supernatural phenomenon, and judged the spirits responsible? i cant remember it now...

Except it doesn't. The Manga follows Arcueid's route. She's the main girl in this story. The manga however adds some plot elements from Ciel and Akiha's routes to the story, thus giving the characters more depth. But you never ever get the idea that some of the other girls had more impact on the story than Arcueid.
As for chapter downloads, why don't you just BUY it? The first 6 volumes of the manga, chapters 1 through 50, are available in English. It's worth every freaking cent.
Still needs more vampire Satsuki and revenge-driven Kohaku. Throw in both Shiki and Akiha with Roa stuck inside of their heads for good measure.

I was never expecting that, little obsessed Arcueid fanboy; contrary to what you think, I may not like the couple, but I don't diss it either. I KNOW Shiki is canonically paired with Arcueid, and thus any canonical story path taken MUST end with one of her outcomes; I merely implied that the Near Side of the Moon routes, and especially Akiha's, were given more involvement and depth in the manga run.

Maybe so, but when importing a few manga books costs you almost the same kind of cash you could buy a new computer here (which are absurdly expensive due to speculation and manipulation of the country economy), it kinda runs off your budget. To be able to get ONE volume imported here, I'd have to pay (in local cash) the equivalent of about three or four volumes bought internationally in any country with a first- or second-world class economic solvency.

Finally finished the manga version of Emma: A Victorian Romance. I was VERY surprised to notice that very early in the story, the situations were changed in the animated version from the original manga print, but either way, both versions of the story go together as beautifully and deliciously as milk and Oreos. It's just THAT good.
Highly recommended read for historical junkies (unlike me; this was a rather surprising read, considering the 1800's England setting). 10/10.
I'm reading Sket Dance. One of the few comics that could makes me laugh uncontrollably. 8)

Anyway, finished reading Rosario+Vampire, and currently am reading Rosario+Vampire ll. waiting for more scans~ damn, why do I like this so much? (and I swear to God, if one of you says panty shots...)
I know your feeling, I'm in the same situation. Speaking of Rosario+Vampire, Tsukune is a freaking lucky guy >_>
Yeap. one of those guys... at least he's not as bad as Kouta from Kanokon, who don't know a good thing when he sees it. Chizuru SOOO wants him, heck, so does Ezomori (did I say it right?) and all he can do is just apologize to his grandfather in his head whenever one of them gets close to doing him. T____T at least Tsukune's not as clueless.
but I digress, Lucky AND kinda badass later on in the story. I must admit, Its quite satisfying to see Ghoul Tsukune beat the pulp outta that big guy.

While looking through some Karin stuff coincidentally, I found out that Kagesaki is working on a new Manga. Called "Hekikai no AiON" (I THINK thats how its supposed to be called.) I found the first chapter of it, and well, while it feels kind of slow, that was only one chapter... otherwise, art is great. you Do kind of have to get over the fact that the main Girl looks pretty much like Karin on a bad hair day. but otherwise, for one chapter, "interesting" would be the word.
I'm reading Hatusune Mix.
So yeah. Reading Tsukihime. Im so late on the bandwagon. >///>;;
Get the visual novel and experience true fear and thrills. While the manga's admittedly epically awesome, it pales in front of the original.

Finished Pretty Face.
Hadn't realized it ended.
The author was oing on about how he was sorry he made an inconclusive ending, but I think it wa pretty conclusive. I mean, Yuna said "for a year" so Randou would only have to stay like that for another year. Afterward he can have his face surgery (as in beat up the doctor into doing it for real this time.)

Yes, very. You know, when Randoh actually went and confessed, I for one DID think that the idiot nutjob who operated on him had actually given him his real face (yeah, I'm naïve like that). It hit home a bit when I saw it was a mask and stuff.
No, your not alone, I thought he had given him his real face too. I was kinda like WTF when it came off though. then was like ooohhh... Seriously though, I lold at the depressing alternate ending.
"... Is he dreaming...?"
"Doctor, his heart has stopped."
I was like WTF, Im glad he didnt use that. I cant stand those kind of meaningless endings.
case in point Chibi Vampire.
I am reading Bo-bobo...because I can.
I gave up on that Manga. seriously. It didnt go anywhere.
It wasn't supposed to, it was made for the lulz. Which is why it's so stupid...and that's why I love it.
Im fine with lulz, but thats not lulz. thats just downright stupidity.
True, after reading a couple more of the chapters it pretty much is complete and utter stupidity...and I still love it. After I'm done with that, I'm going to read One Piece, Bleach, Code Geass or anything else intresting...any recommendation(s)?
Something less common/mainstream and less meeeeh~
mmm... I would recommend some of the ones Im reading currently.
lessee... GS Mikami is fun,
Rosario + Vampire is really good too,
Claymore is awesome,
and...
ummm- ah, Pretty Face, the Manga Shiki and myself were discussing a few posts back. Its also fun.
If you want fun/comedy, go for Pretty Face or GS Mikami.
If you want Action and maybe a bit of a mix of the above, go for Rosario Vampire.
Claymore is if you want the action and nothing more.
Was I any help, Strange?
Hmmm, They all sound intresting. I believe I'll start with Claymore and Rosario + Vampire. Thanks Flame.
Those are excellent choices, especially Claymore.
Indeed. Claymore is win. Massive win. and in the Anime's case, Its also win, even though near the end it breaks from the Manga storyline. its so awesome that it can be forgiven. Plus its just one of those "we made our own ending cuz the mange aint finished" things.

Next chapter of Hekikai no AiON came out...
I still cant say much on the Manga since only 2 chapters are out, but its getting interesting.
QuotePlus its just one of those "we made our own ending cuz the mange aint finished" things.
Honestly, I think Claymore shouldn't have altered the ending. The manga was going into timeskip, they should have just left the ending as that. The only thing the anime has that the manga lacks is the big Priscilla battle before the end, which really wasn't needed.
Of course, it's less bad than Death Note just changing things for the hell of it.
Yeah, I thought the same thing. they just as well could have left it there, without changing it.
Although at least... at least, they didnt change everything leading up to it. it was just that thing stuck at the end. it was still more or less faithful except for the ending.
Borders started carrying Detroit Metal City.
as well as this little wonder.
also, they had "Jack frost" a rather interesting Manga.
Defense Devil, Mr. Fullswing, One Piece, and Beelzebub. There's a lot more, but it's pretty much what's been updated as of late.

I stopped caring about Rosario+Vampire awhile ago. It was just, bleh. Interesting at first, but then it became too many things to handle at once. Drama, harem, romance, ecchi, action. It kinda pulled a Hitman Reborn! but at least that series kept up with the consistency and gradually changed rather than just being dumped with it.
would you rather the anime? -_-
Posted on: June 16, 2009, 02:36:20 AM
Started Inu Neko jump after Manga Traders noted it on the front page. The art style from what I saw on the cover, looked appealing, so I checked it out. its cute.
Quite honestly no, if I'm not caring about the manga, I doubt I'd care about the anime.
I meant because the Anime is far lacking in the department which you complain about- Its all about fanservice and screw the story I've got white hair.

It's Japan, if it's new to them, they will certainly do it. also, fixed. And boy just wait until you read the spanish ecuadorian transilated manga now, if you think that's odd. They still have Cardcaptor Sakura in the origional name too, but that's half the oddity. *points to colored manga G-Tron*
I finished Inu Neko Jump. And you know, I really enjoyed it. Though the ending felt inconclusive... Nothing was done about the relationship between Watsuki, Yuki, and that girl from the Hotel,(They all have feelings for him) Ozu also never remembered his past with Yuki, (when he jumped headfirst into Yuki's sand shovel in kindergarten and his bloody face landed on he crotch- the reason she considers he "took her virginity 13 years ago") the one thing Yuki was always so upset he forgot, and he never came to discover that her (now old and kinda ugly) Mother was the attractive long jump teacher who had a crush on him 13 years ago, who he also had feelings for.
Really felt inconclusive and unsatisfying,.. But the Manga was really enjoyable otherwise.

Yeah, I wouldn't give two shits about it then. I like fanservice as much as the next guy, but there has to be a certain amount of it without going completely overboard with it.
It definitely goes overboard. the first 5 seconds into the show and it was already showing ass shots of high school girls walking by.
Reading Bitter Virgin.
I'll probably finish it today. But man, Aikawa's past is really tragic. D:
Back to Berserk.
The only Manga actually worth a damn.
That and... BAA.
Bwohoho... Chapter 105 of Mikami...
Wonder how Yokoshima will do now that he no longer has his bandana?
Posted on: June 24, 2009, 06:34:00 PM
Started reading Inumimi.
Oh my god. Finally another release of Itoshi no Kana for the first time in MONTHS.
Finished up Reading Vol.1 of Suzaku of the Counterattack. I think I like some of the art in it better than the art in the LotR series (As in, I don't like how Kallens chest is smaller in the Normal Series, and its normal in SotC.)
Finally got around to reading that Death Note Oneshot. Maybe next I should finish the actual Death Note manga itself..
GS Mikami, Rosario+Vampire Season ll, Melty Blood, Claymore, and that's it. Whenever scans come out. >.>;
I need to get to leeching some manga off of One Manga soon.
Am just getting done reading Initial D vol.29 .
I'm currently reading Zettai Karen Children. It's pretty interesting. I'm mostly reading it because I got recruited into the Scanlation team JS, that does ZKC.
Mahou Sensei Negima! (aka Negima! Magister Negi Magi)
Although the manga is really superb, it is going DBZ in the fight against Jack Rakan. Nothing bad actually, but if they keep it that way it will become boring. Although the Manga has a flair of Final Fantasy.
In the Manga itself you will see a witch, which looks like Ultimecia and a beastman like Rei from Breath of Fire 3.

IN Love Hina! there was a rumor, in which you can see Squall and Rinoa as cameo. Did anyone see it?
It was rumored only. No cameo whatsoever -- I read the entire manga and own everything released animated.
I'm not really a manga reader. It simply takes too much shelf space of which I already have not enough due to my addiction of buying Anime DVDs and novels. However, there's a local store here which is currently having a firesale of some old series. Amongst these is the Neon Genesis Evangelion manga. All 11 volumes published here so far for roughy 3 bucks a volume. Now, I was never a fan of Eva, the anime left me deeply confused and unsatisfied, but I heard from a lot of people that the manga is better in several regards.
Is someone around here who can tell me how the manga is in regard to the anime and if buying it would be a good idea?
Manga is totally different in some parts of the storyline, like how Shinji first met Asuka in a game arcade instead of on that aircraft carrier in the anime.
Also... Asuka was knocked out of EVA-2 right after that one angel played with her mind, so Kaworu is now the pilot of EVA-2. Rei also gets a bit more "self-conscious" exposition when that one angel invaded her EVA-00 before she sacrified herself.
And of course, the pilot of EVA-3 died, instead of being in critical condition.
As such, the manga does explain a bit better than the anime, though of course, all the new stuff is going to take time to register in.
Finished Suzaku of the Counterattack, very enjoyable with a nice ending....
Also started Nightmare of Nunally, don't care for the art as much... but it is enjoyable.
Just started reading Fairy Tail, the ice dude has some nice attacks, like that " ice cannon".
I've restarted the JoJo series.
You reminded me I still need to finish part 4.
Currently reading Claymore, Eat-Man, Code Geass, Higurasho no Naku Koro ni: Second Arc (can't remember the name.) and I'm going to read Soul Eater as well.
Maybe a bit of One Piece after I finish reading one of those.

Hm? You're reading NoN? Is there even an active scanlation group that didn't drop it? Tell me please.
Started reading Soul Eater on a whim and currently 27 volumes in.
It's so good. XD
It seems the Author of Rosario+Vampire is taking a break from the manga till November.
Im guessing he finally ran out of monsters.
Saki.
mm, delicious lesbians. what, you think i read it for the mahjong?
I was reading and watching it for the mahjong~
Ah, Nodoka-chan~ :3 And Saki-chan's 0± skills~
Yuuki-chan is so adorable too, and eating tacos~ >U<
bullshit, no one reads it for the mahjong.
Finally finished JoJo part 4. That was more awesome than I expected. I feel kinda sorry for Kira (he only wanted a normal life, but how he expected to have one with that arm fetish of his I'll never know), but that bastard really got what he deserved. I was kinda surprised at the low body count on the good side this time.
Now if only Steel Ball Run got scanlated faster >_>
Aside from the weekly-ness of Bakuman, Naruto, One Piece and Bleach.
I've been reading FMA (or when Viz releases the volumes), and a monthly dose of Hellsing, Zombie Powder and 666 Satan (rather, for Hellsing and ZP, 1 volume per month, though once I finish the last volume of ZP by Aug 31st/Sept 1st, i'll be upping Hellsing to 2 volumes since I dunno when Dark Horse'll release the last volume...). Satan on 3 volumes per month~.
oh and whenever Viz releases DMC (Detroit DMC, not Devil DMC), and Dogs Bullets&Carnage~

Huh. It seems that I have taken quite a liking to Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro.

I really should check Manga Traders more often.
Currently reading:
JJBA
[Can't really say it's that bizarre, IMO, course I'm still reading the early chapters of the manga. So far it's a good read with intresting characters.]
One Piece
[I loves me some strange pirate arse...
No, I will not change anything from the last sentence.]
Eatman
[There really no need to explain why I like this series.]
Zatch/Gash Bell
[Like it, don't know exactly why, but I like it]
Waiting for next chapters of:
Claymore
Full Metal Alchemist
Soul Eater
Haha! Another Eatman fan.
And Claymore is awesome.
BTW, mangatraders has the latest chapter I think.
Of Eatman or Claymore?
If it's Eatman, it's still gonna be a while before I actually get to that chapter (still in the early chapters you know).
As for Claymore, I believe already read the current chapter (#95 I believe). I'm just waiting for the one that will probably come in early october.
I meant Claymore. Yeah. 95 it was.
Also, whoa, 5 new chapters of the Melty Blood manga just came out too.

[spoiler]I thought this took place before the other Jojo installment?[/spoiler]
Steel Ball Run is an alternate universe as far as I know.
[spoiler]If you notice, this takes place pretty much in the same time frame as part 1, late 19th century. Also, remember Stairway to/Made in Heaven, that stand just [tornado fang]'d everything up at the end of part 6 XD [/spoiler]
We need a Jojo topic.
But but I haven't read the other Jojo besides the Jotaro kujo story. :(
I think I'm gonna read that soon.
Well, that gives you something to do now, doesn't it? XD
Btw were all the chapters scanned already in onemanga?
Lets see...1-594 of JJBA is there, and 1-158 of Stone Ocean, then add whatever's scanned of SBR. I think that's a yes =P
600 chapters, that will surely kill my boredom for 2 days!
And before we stop talking Jojo, I'll just have to say that I miss that solar kung fu they used to use in the first two parts =(
I have to say I agree with that, but imo early Jojo is a bit similar to Hokuto no Ken.
Not a bad thing of course. 8D

quite subtle there.
also, is it just the wind blowing his blond hair about, or does he still have some discolored hair?
though, it could have had a bit more in terms of the "reunion"[/spoiler]
in any case, it leaves it very open for future returns to the story. (specials and what have you)

Meanwhile, Shin Mazinger Zero.
Well I read the recent chapters of Rosario+Vampire ll, random events as usual, Fong Fong and Yukari switching bodies was... well it could have been better, but it was interesting.
And it was fun to Inner Moka being the student for the day. The way the whole school reacts is amusing.
Now that the Seal is actually breaking though, I think the next chapter or two might actually be more interesting than what weve gotten recently.
Reading Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally at the moment, up to chapter 16 now.
Zero. He's the goddamn Zero.
Posted on: January 04, 2010, 21:13:33
And finished NoN.
I really liked the story, and how it's all for Nunnally...
Also finished TTGL - Guren Gakuenhen.
... Loved it. XD
Am reading Code Geass: Nightmare of Nunnally, would have finished earlier, but I am too lazy.
Yokoshima is being so awesome that it cracks me up.
"Currently" reading Los Collaberos del Zodiaco: Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac, IN SPANISH! :W). Takes me back when I first bought it.
Currently I'm reading:
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- D.Gray-Man
- Loveless
- Kimi to Boku
I just started Karakuridōji Ultimo
Its written by Stan Lee and illustrated by the guy who did Shaman King.
Is that page you posted in the Random Pic thread from said manga?
Yeah. XD Stan just loves projecting himself into his works. Remember Iron Man?
Ah, so I see... XD

Maybe a bit too much, you can see his face like 2 or 3 time per chapter. It's not an Ultimo chapter if someone doesn't dramatically say his name with him appearing in the background XD
Also, damn, him and Takei just love to make everything involving Yamato and Ulti look just wrong without context, oh, and also the whole "I'm a guy, but in a past life I was a girl madly in love with my current best friend's past life" XD
Also the Majority of (not all mind you) the Robo boys are traps. Ultimo ESPECIALLY.
I've just caught up with Negima.
JACK RAKAAAAANNNNNnnnnn!!!
WHY?!

Ultimo, but theres only one volume, online it is then.
Also reading Fairy Tail.

Story; at my University book store there was a book on all of Osamu Tezuka's works, including this one.. Black Jack. The significance of Tezuka as a person stuck in my head after that, including those titles I'd never heard of aside from Astro Boy and Kimba. Then at the comic book store I found a copy of Black Jack. Volume one, it said. I thought, I can't afford to keep buying costly manga right now.
Then I couldn't quit thinking about it all week and I went and bought it just now. It's awesome. I then looked it up and never knew there were Black Jack anime. Plural. I'm very excited.
The Legend of Zelda: Triforce of the Gods
I didn't even know it existed.
Yea, there were 3 different Triforce of the Gods (ALttP) mangas (maybe more).
The one you're reading by Akira Himekawa, which is 4 volumes.
The colored 12-issues manga in the Nintendo Power magazine & Swedish Nintendo Magasinet, drawn by Shotaro Ishinomori.
The last one by Ataru Cagiva, which was 3 volumes big. ^^;
Hm, I didn't know there was three entities of Alttp manga. I'll have to look those up sometime.

Well, go do so. Speaking of Zelda mangas, am I the only one that prefered PH's manga story to the game's?

So I read through something by the name of Mirai Nikki. It's like the author built this [parasitic bomb] around an ongoing "nice boat" plot. XD
After watching the Soul eater Anime, I decided to read the manga from the deviation point. Its good. Dr. Stein must be the best character ever. Although I do love Ragnarok.

GOGO Monster by Taiyo Matsumoto.
Quite good. I should get more of his work.

The worst part is the fact that every time something genuinely good happens in their relationship, Yuno cranks it up to 11 and they have to start all over again.
[spoiler=The sad part is...]If you read all the way to the most recent chapter and finished the Paradox storyline, you can actually piece together that Yuno isn't/wasn't like that normally, it seems as though she's been through so much [parasitic bomb] that now she's batshit insane but genuine.[/spoiler]

[spoiler]It really was to be expected honestly, and it's not the honesty of her feelings that is the problem with her, but the way she expresses them. [spoiler]See, I'm kinda working under the train of thought that she started out as a normal girl with slight stalker like tendencies (this was mainly due to that one chapter where she ran around the place intercepting Yuki at the amusement park; she showed that there was that side to herself normally, but there wasn't any real time where it struck me as being WTF creepy like the times during the main storyline). Things got amplified by 100 after she got involved with the Future Diaries. My current theory is that originally, Yuno met Yuki according to her flashback and things preceded to go along as per her flashbacks (she got abused and caged, but continued to grow closer to Yuki in the time she had to herself), until she got recruited to play a part in the game with him. All of this however, took place in Yuno's
first playthrough in the survival game. The manga's storyline is actually
her second time through.
(There's a bunch more I'm thinking of now, but I want to post cliff notes right now since I'm kinda out of it. XD)
Now then, what I think originally happened is that Yuno actually was contacted by Deus & played through the game to its climax and became "god', but in doing so, she wound up killing the Yuki that existed in her first play through, triggering a nervous breakdown on her part. Upon doing so, she believed that she could save the folks she killed, much like how Yuki in the main series believes he can do the same, and when it was revealed that things like that can't be, she broke further and took the second option, that reversal of time flow to when all the people existed. When she came to in this time-looped world (let's call it Play through 2), she initially found herself still the same, but complications came up in that she existed as a individual who already existed in that time frame, the same Yuno that had just recently come to love Yuki. Sometime after this came up, she was then contacted by Murumuru outside of Deus' knowledge, to play once again. Murumuru then had the Yuno of that time line and her family murdered (by Yuno from Play through 1) so that there wouldn't be any issues in the cause & effect horizon and things started from there.
Yuno's crazy devotion to Yuki and general derangement is a byproduct of her own past traumas as well as her experience with the first survival game. Yuno knows exactly what happens to one who plays the game (hence her instability and inability to trust other people), and knows from first hand experience that this is the inevitable outcome. Because of this, she is monstrously overprotective of Yuki, hence the ax craziness, her ability to kill without a second thought, and that one time where she kidnapped Yuki and kept him away from the outside world -- she was trying to protect him from the diary holders, world, and the game itself in an extremely WTF obsessive kind of way. (Even this is a stretch to me, because [tornado fang] me that was disturbing, but when I think of it, this might hold some weight.)
This theory being true would also explain why Akise's naturally prying nature unnerves her so much that she has made it a point to go out of her way and kill him -- if this all were to get out, it would probably change the nature of whatever salvageable future with Yuki she has and that in her mind is the #1 thing she doesn't want happening. It also explains why she was able to go and murder the 11th, she
is Gasai Yuno, just not the Gasai Yuno that should have been there for the second play through in the current universe. Finally, it might actually shine some light on why she is able to sign her life away to Yuki, there might actually be some part of her so distraught by what she did to Yuki in the first playthrough, that she is determined to let Yuki win and "use" her to his advantage as some sort of tragic penance.
The biggest holes that need filling in this pet theory of mine are what exactly Murumuru did with Yuno & the Gasais and what sort of intents she has in doing this all.[/spoiler]
TL;DR: Yuno isn't malicious naturally, she's this way because the game [tornado fang]'d her up.
It...actually makes sense I'd say. However, I'd argue Yuno was already pretty [tornado fang]'d up because [spoiler]the whole killing her parents thing happened before the game. They had it coming though. [/spoiler]
I dunno what else to say right now.

Siiiiigh, I'm still stuck with vol. one and two from my visit to the Pokemon Centre ages ago.
Devil may cry...wait it´s not finished and it never will be?! I´m stuck on a Cliffhanger? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
In this chapter of Tegami Bachi:
The plot thickens, a lot and OMG GAUCHE IS AWAKE! D:
In this chapter of DGM:
...I knew the order had its dark secrets, but damn...
Heh, now will Gauche remember everything besides the word Sylvette?
And GS Mikami is now over...
It was a great series, I'm glad someone actually decided to scanlate it.
A little bit anticlimatic though...
But hey good series, now go read Zettai karen children! :P
Jojo´s bizzare adventures...I´m currently on story 5. I heard some people don´t like it that much, what do you think about it? I mean about story 5
Darn, GS Mikami's over already? D:
That was the one manga on my list I didnt have to wait for chapter per month. It was one per day!
It kept me occupied until those days!
Anticlimactic indeed. oh well. It was a good manga.

I read it and had an epic FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU- moment myself. It was mostly due to the outcome of Yukiteru vs. his friends and Yuno's strangely sinister attitude this time around.
It seems almost like Rosario+Vampire is ACTUALLY starting to pick up some pace. (bout time) still not an exciting story, but better than what weve been getting. Gonna get some background info on Moka's childhood that even SHE doesnt know.
Kiss X Sis seems like some crazy phenomenon.

Chronological reasons. Imagine me watching DBZ in an unorganized fashion? I'd be scorned by fans. I'll promise when I get to Vol. 5 I'll just skip foward to the current. ::)
Read the newest Hunter X Hunter chapter. I lol'd at Gon's instant puberty XD I have no idea what Pitou was saying at the end though.
Also, catching up with Gintama again. Ugh, why are the pages in Mangafox for many of the chapters after 148 out of order? It's [tornado fang]ing annoying.
Anyone ever red Franken Fran? Shits awesome.

I got physical copies of Lucky Star, Volumes 3 and 4 though.. ^_^
Due to the link that Jelly provided, I'm currently hooked on Pokemon Adventure. After 11+ hours of reading yesterday, I finished the entire Kanto arc (first arc and Yellow arc) and am now reading the G/S Arc. It's pretty good! ^_^
Wait until you get to the Diamond/Pearl/"Missy" arc. I love these guys. XD

Speaking of DPPt, has anyone else read Pokemon DP? It's no Pokemon Special, but I'd be lying if I said it wasn't a damn fun read XD Too bad there hasn't been an update to it in years apparently >__<
And I'm now in the R/S arc... The one I've been waiting for.
Also, I'm blowing through this manga in record time, aren't I? I've read 180 chapters of it in less than 2 days! ^_^

And now I've finished the 364 chapters currently translated online (that I know of)... if anyone can post links to more if there are any (I think the next one is still in Japanese) I'd appreciate it. Until then...
EDIT: Found 365, but due to the request of the translator on the site I found it on, I won't post a link. Google it; that's what I did. As for the rest of Volume 33, it should be translated by iNet soon, according to a post on MangaFox regarding this. So until then... Meh, the cliffhanger for 365 is much more satisfying than the one for 364. ^_^

Read a manga series called "Ludwig Revolution". It's pretty neat. It takes the Brothers Grimm fairy tales and gives them a different twist. (more often than not, a [tornado fang]'d up one.)
Its surprisingly short, only 4 volumes, when there are so many fairy tales to adapt.
Story is theres this prince, Ludwig, who is pretty much an [dark hold] womanizer, who happens to have a hobby of collecting beautiful female corpses. So his father gets fed up with him and tells him to not return until he has found a princess to marry.
And from there, along with his servant Wilhelm, he encounters the princesses from all them old fairy tales. But like I said before, they have a twist, and not all is as it seems to be most of the time.
It's really good. I recommend it.
(He drops the corpse collecting pretty quickly, right after he gets kicked out, which is after the first story.)
Man..3 afternoons...that's how long it took me to read from chapter 10 to the newest chapter of Claymore.
..Gotta say, out of all the weird Shenanigans only the Abyss hunter made me cringe...
Currently reading:
Chrono Crusade - Well, I admit I said Zero no Tsukaima is what defined "Generic Anime/Manga". I take that back. This does.
SO, anyone else reading Magico? It's a new SJ manga. To quote TVTropes because I don't feel like writing much at almost 3AM
QuoteAs soon as 16-year old country girl Emma arrives at the city of Hawk Eye, every man in the city falls madly in love with her. The king in particular tries to force her into marriage... and then a sorceror kidnaps her.
The sorcerer introduces himself as Shion, one of the youngest and most talented in the nation. He explains to Emma that she is cursed with the Echidna, a mysterious magic that happens every 500 years where a girl is born with her heart packed with such powerful dark magic that it has the potential to destroy the world. With the Echidna, one could rule the world, and Shion explains that people are going to try and hunt her down to get her heart.
However, just when Emma has given up on living a normal life, she is told that there exists a ritual that will rid her of the Echidna curse: the ritual Magico, which consists of many difficult trials... the first of which requires Emma and Shion to marry each other.
It's been pretty good so far. I like how right now the party feels more like family than "nakama", and I mean actual family, as in husband/wife/child. Also, the main characters get married in the first chapter, that has to be violating some rules of Shonen or something D:

Just wait till it [tornado fang]ing tanks. I have a feeling it will.
I can't say though, it seems very interesting. I might give it a read... how's the art btw?

Actually, if the color pages it's getting is any indication it's doing good so far.
As for the art, well, here's the first cover
(http://i5.mangareader.net/magico/1/magico-2127333.jpg)
Magico eh?
It seems alright for now, need more ridiculous rituals. 8D
You mean like the jumping on cows or whatever they were? Yeah XD If not then I still agree.
Anyways, the first chapter of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure part 8 Jojolion is out :D
...is the main character having 4 balls gonna be a plot point or something?
Now that chapter 73 is translated, I was able to finally finish Tsukihime.
...I should probably get on to finishing all that other stuff I've put aside >_>
Finished reading Death Note: BB Murder Cases. Not really a manga, but a novel (even though MAL lists it in the manga section).
Pretty good read... until the ending. Rushed as all hell. Beyond Birthday's conclusion in the story was sloppy and made it seem that the writer's were out of ideas. His methods and motive were alright, but the ending was still extremely lackluster to an otherwise enjoyable plot.

OH SHAT, almost forgot about that. I better get to continuing it.
Catching up on Princess Resurrection, Claymore, Soul Eater, and Rosario+Vampire
Jojolion ch3 raw.
The story is getting curious and curiouser, and yay for the first naked chick in bathtub in Jojo's history. 8D
Well..there were naked chicks in part 3...sure they were dead but still...>_>
*ahem*
HOLY [tornado fang]ing [parasitic bomb] HUNTERXHUNTER IS ACTUALLY BACK :O

HOLY [tornado fang]ing [parasitic bomb] HUNTERXHUNTER IS ACTUALLY BACK :O
I've been meaning to watch the series at some point. Now that they're starting over from the beginning, it would be a great place to start for others and me included. Not to mention that Madhouse is in charge this time, so expect A+ quality.
HOLY [parasitic bomb] NEGIMA :O
I didn't expect Akamatsu to actually pull this off. Wow.

I've seen the raws and what people told me.
Heh.

FUUUUUCK YOOOOUUUUU AKAMATSU!
Finished Negima also. I can't believe I actually have been reading this series for 9 years, but it left me quite satisfied.
[spoiler]Seriously though, just tell us who was the f***ing lover of Negi.[/spoiler]
I'm reading an awesome manga by the title of D-Frag!
It's pure comedy gold, with a lot of absurdity and some slight romance and maybe harem elements thrown in (though it doesn't suffer from, you know, stupid ass fanservice).
If anybody is interested, here's a quick summary:
It's about a.guy named Kenji who is a deliquent at school and along with his two pals he wanders into the "Game Creator Club" in order to "borrow" something.
However, he gets more than he bargained for when the club members turn out to be batshit crazy girls and in the end he is forced to join.
And all hell breaks lose.
It doesn't sound too interesting, but it really is [tornado fang]ing amazing. I've just caught up with all of the chapters (currently translated that is).
Annnnnd Bakuman is finished.
Eh, it was okay I guess. Was at least something to read for the past three years anyway.
Aw man, another one finished. I really have to find something new.
[chameleon sting]ing Berserk and Gantz. Crazy ass [parasitic bomb], especially w/ manga Machete (http://www.mangareader.net/97-58078-24/gantz/chapter-326.html) appearing out of nowhere~
KarakuriDouji Ultimo
Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is ending (the manga). I just heard what was "revealed" in the wake of its impending end,
Those who read/watched the anime... are YOU READY?! Here we go:
[spoiler]Kafuka was dead since the beginning of the series (or somesuch) and all the girls tried to to commit a mass suicide (including Nozomu) but they kinda failed and all of them got some kinda transplants from Kafuka. Each time she appeared during the series it was a mass hallucination on their parts or some [parasitic bomb]. There was also something about her posessing each of the girls who got the transplants... but...[/spoiler]
Personally, I just want to believe it's 4chan trolling me, but since everyone keeps talking about it and [parasitic bomb]... I... I...
Wow...that is kinda lame
That sounds like the Simpsons episode where Homer got the hair transplant from Snake.
Well, Steel Ball Run is now finally over. It made me sad ;__;
Funfact: Today is finally the first day ever that Jojo's Bizarre Adventure scanlations are up to date with the Japanese chapters.

This. This is what I'm going to read next. I'm sure the up to date thing will be awesome in a few years lol
Thank to the fun of internets on iPhones. I've been catching up on one manga series at a time (well, this recently started rather, and it's mainly I have something to do in the bus rides to work and during smoke breaks). After Gantz (really enjoying that series :D), I went back to One Piece (took a LOOOOONG break from the middle of the Skypeia arc.) and now at the end of the Paramount War arc. One Piece just keeps getting better and better.
Right now I'm reading the newest volume of I Am A Hero. No doubt the very best zombie story I've ever encountered. I felt real fear at some of the moments in the manga. Plus, the art, where I typically don't enjoy hyper-realistic art, feels right at home in the story. My favorite part though is that it doesn't glorify Japan as most manga/anime do. It depicts it as a country of greed and perversion. While it might not be true to the extent that the manga shows it to be, at least the author had the balls to show the reader "Hey, this country isn't perfect, and if a zombie invasion happens, we're [tornado fang]'d."
On another note, I think a new volume of Witch Hunter came out. Only manwha I'll ever enjoy.
Sounds interesting. I may check it out.
Do. It's pretty friggin' good.
Plus, remember how in HOTD (I pray that you don't) there was a group of high schoolers armed to the teeth with AK-47's? Nope. None of that [parasitic bomb]. The MC does have a shotgun, but it's two-round max, and he's really uppity about using it right even in high-stress situations, and it really gets into the facts of gun laws in Japan. Weaponry usage in the manga is really well handled and it adds to the atmosphere of the plot. Most of the time, the people who are considered "the most powerful" are armed with knives or nail guns, or in the most extreme case, a crossbow.
Plus they use PICTOCHAT as a communication format. That was fun.
Sorry. I'm getting a little over-excited there. I better stop before I start spoiling [parasitic bomb].

Unfortunately, I have seen HOTD. Though the weaponry wasn't the thing that bothered me; it was the damn fanservice [tornado fang]ing EVERYWHERE.

Okay, I'm
definitly going to read this now.
Just recently finished acid rose.
Picked up Not Lives! and The World God Only Knows. Might drop the latter. The former isn't as moeshit as I expected.

[spoiler]J/K. However, I would like to say that if only I had the time, I would read TWGOK daily.[/spoiler]
I really like TWGOK's MC. I'm only on the first chapter so I'm not passing judgement QUITE yet. Just first impressions aren't all that great.

Oh, I should add that I started reading Gimmick! and The Earl And The Fairy, since they had 'em at my library. I like them both. Also reading the DBZ mango.
Been reading Vagabond. Love it~
Been reading Great Teacher Onizuka, its 50 Shades of Comedy. Two Saint Men and One Piece are next on my list.
EDIT: Read on past chapters of Initial D up till now, cant wait for the rest of the chapters to come out!
Why haven't I participated in this wonderful thread?~
I'm feeling absolutely tenouttaten giddy today because my friend gave me his copy of Girl Friends (he decided it was safer to just give to me than to constantly hide it from his conservative Catholic mother) and I just finished giving it a reread. I'm gonna inevitably start it over again because god I just love reading this manga so much~ It makes me feel all giddy and mushy and girly and happy and yaay~
...I'm sorry you had to see that. '>.>
Mahou Shoujo of the End.
MAGICAL
Terra Formers. Good read, evolved cockroach beware.
HI GUYS THIS THREAD EXISTS
I decided to get back into manga so I'm catching up on:
Vinland Saga
I Am A Hero
Girls of the Wild's
Black Bullet
And I need to find some other [parasitic bomb]. I guess I could try to catch up on Madan no Ou to Vanadis and Maoyuu Maou Yuusha.
Really liking Nisekoi, and I've just got into Rosario + Vampire, too.
Been reading some of the official Touhou manga that finished years ago. Most are slice of life with focus on more low level characters, but the world building, interaction and of course cute factor is pretty great for fans. While the ongoing Wild and Horned Hermit boosted secondary protag Marisa into my top picks, Touhou Sangetsusei's much nicer depiction of central protag Reimu certainly put her up a ways too. Especially the bits where she's rather happily working for once in her life.
I picked up the manga "Helck."
It... It was a mistake I should not have made. I...
I highly recommend it. Read it. All of you.
At the moment, I have five series ongoing:
- Nisekoi
- SMT: Devil Survivor
- Trinity Seven
- Magika: Swordsman and Summoner
- SAO, in all its' incarnations.
