So, my niece is learning about the Holocaust in school and she's become obsessed over it.

I mean, really obsessed.

It's getting weird, this obsession. I mean, reading about it is fine and wanting to research it is fine, and we were watching a documentary on the History Channel about the rise of Hitler, and that's fine. I persuaded her to check out Maus from the library, as she wanted to read more Holocaust survivor stories and Maus is a classic.

But, she made a bunch of nut dolls of random Jewish characters and a few Nazi and she keeps them in an egg carton that her dad has called the Concentration Carton. And, she expressed interest in reading Mein Kampf.

She's in fifth grade.

They're not really dolls, per se. They're just a collection of little pine cones and acorns that she put in an egg carton and labeled each pocket.

Then she painted the egg carton a mustard color. She hasn't messed with it since filling it with acorns and pine cones and labeling the pockets stuff like "Nazi" and "Jew- [NAME]".

I've been dicking around with SVP and Kawaii Codec Pack Black Edition all morning. I've been experiencing wave artifacts while watching KILL la KILL, despite using the recommended settings, but I may have found the settings for SVP to reduce wave artifacts without sacrificing smoothness. Time to see how this baby works with Excel Saga. Thank you, Funyarinpa.

I wish douchebags didn't ruin fedoras and trilbies. I tried on a nice fedora, and when I looked at myself in the mirror, I looked like such a douche. Maybe it's my hipster-esque glasses, but I looked so douchey and I wanted to weep.

Did you use the "anime" guide on SVP's wiki?

That's what I'm using actually, but I'm still noticing wave artifacts during the playback with SVP. I'm not sure if that has to do with my CPU (it's an AMD FX-4350 Quad-core @ 4.2GHz) or the RAM I have available (which is 4GB [2x2GB] @ 800Mhz). I had to turn the Artifact Masking setting to "normal" to minimize the artifacts without comprising frame-rate smoothness.
