But don't some spiders eat like Galvantula does with without electricity anyway?
It's not the electricity portion. That's not the problem. It's not stringing up the prey and saving them for later that's the problem. That's all fine and dandy and I've watched spiders eat their prey before. I used to have a tarantula as a pet.
The part of the Dex entry that bugs me is the wording and usage of "leisurely."
When we eat something leisurely, we snack. We sit back, relax, and mindlessly eat chips. We eat pretzels. We eat cereal from the box by the handful. We're not even paying attention to what we're eating. If you're watching a movie and eating popcorn, you're generally not looking at the popcorn and eating it like dinner. Your eyes are on the movie and you're popping popcorn in your mouth without a second thought. That's eating in a leisurely fashion.
Galvantula is not the only one to eat stuff in a leisurely fashion. Glalie does it, too. The fact that their victims are generally
still alive and stunned, though quite possibly
still conscious as they're devoured like so many potato chips while marathoning Archer...
That's the part that bugs me.
