So me and a friend of mine were arguing with another friend of mine about Pokemon. He's a genwunner and hates the newer Pokemon games since the breeding system and competitive nature of Pokemon battles today has basically turned Pokemon into a massive eugenics experiment.
Anyway we were talking about how people managed to hack the data of the Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire to find the stats of the Mega Pokemon Evolved Pokemon and the fact there are move tutors and the like.
He said that this is such a big problem to Gamefreak, despite it not really being piracy, that he thinks it would be acceptable to delay the actual games for an entire year to punish the small amount of hackers and deter them. Yeah like the backlash of such a unilateral punishment for a really petty reason, that doesn't really cause that much harm, is worth the loss of money and pissing off the fan base. That a totally brilliant business plan right there!
