The DS version came out after the PSP version, it has all the additions of the PSP version but also added the ability to recruit Pleinair, Adell, Rozaline and Badass Freaking Overlord Zetta (Tome form of course), Plenair in particular can be unlocked as early as a New Game + if you lose to the first Mid Boss fight. It also allowed you to speed up the Geo Effects at lightning speed which was not present in the PSP version, Prinny Commentary which is also unlocked with New Game + and added a PvP mode.

However the downside of the DS port was a downgrade of music quality, minor downgrade to graphics and no voice acting beyond the opening cutscene. It's not too bad of a drawback and I enjoyed the game immensely even then.

So yeah I'm kind of hoping they include some of the DS content, at least Pleinair and the Geo effect speed up.

It plays like that Kirby's Adventure minigame with the crane. You use it to catch badges that you can put on your home menu. You start with five free plays, but after that it's $1USD (don't know of conversion rates) for five more plays. You can however, once a day, use a practice crane that gives you a chance for free plays (I got three extra.)

The badges are entirely cosmetic but there are some that can launch applications. You can also put the badges on folders.

But yeah you see you can cover the folders with the badges and I've got a cute happy isabelle launching my activity feed. There's also exclusive themes within the game that can be bought to go along with the badges and it has miiverse integration.

It's mostly entirely cosmetic, but I love it because I'm a sucker for customization and Nintendo's basically fulfilling a wet dream I've always had about being able to customize the home screen of a console and not just a PC.
