Domino answered the comlink on her end. "This is 009, go ahead." If it was about the news report, she already knew. On one hand, it worked in her favor, as it would further rally the community against Mewtwo. On the other hand... any idiot could tell that the creature on Route 11 was clearly different. Though, she surmised that it wouldn't take long for the two to encounter each other, which would undoubtedly lead to a very destructive fight.
Yet another thing to work in her favor, Domino sneered. Go ahead, Mewtwo. Let your emotions get the better of you. Lay waste to your impostor. And while you're doing that, Team Rocket will capture your clones. They made effective bait before, and they will do so again.
After several minutes, Nurse Joy took Quickie out into the hallway to speak to her privately. "It's well enough to leave, which I know you're going to do. I've seen what's going on, and while I would rather you wait at least one more day, I can't stop you." She sighed. "I heard a slight rattle in its lungs when it breathed, but that should clear up. Left over from the immune response to that bacterial infection. However, if it gets worse and you hear it coughing, particularly wet coughs, take it to a Pokemon Center." She glanced at the lobby, then back to Quickie. "I'm going to do you a favor. I'm going to call Officer Jenny and arrange a police escort out of town, so you'll be riding with her until you're out of her jurisdiction. After that, you're on your own."
Quickie nodded and smiled shyly. "Thanks. We're getting ready to head out."
"I'll get your group out the back exit, where you'll meet with Jenny, and she'll take you the rest of the way." Nurse Joy checked inside the exam room before lowering her voice. "Remember what I said about that Master Ball I gave you. I hope you never need to use it, but should it come down to it... I want you to at least consider. Even if it's lip service. Mewtwo is very powerful, and therefore very dangerous, and you need a reliable method of controlling it, if it ever gets out of hand. Please keep it in mind. You would be doing that to ensure Mewtwo's safety."
Quickie nodded again, slower this time. "I know. I will. Thank you."
Nurse Joy smiled. "You go ahead and get ready to leave, then. I'll call Officer Jenny and arrange transport." She opened the door to the exam room. "You can go and get ready to leave. You're officially discharged."
After a moment, Mewtwo emerged from the exam room and followed Quickie down the hall and back to their room.
