I've seen it in Naruto, but nothing really traumatizing... It was bad there, but it's just even worse in a theatrical movie such as this. Even more when the actual novel never once required to repeat Touko's quotes and instead had additional conversation to explain the situation better.
On the other hand, I did like how they added a few additional scenes such as the dead guy being brought into the hospital, Mikiya's singing in the rain and the rune being broken by the zombie. Even if the rune was badly explained due to them cutting text from the script.
Oh and Kirie should have had a scene with Mikiya, but that's not something Nasu included in the novel to begin with. At least she got some attention, along with Fujino, in the intermission.
