Pretty much what Quickie said, while you're at it, buy the novel too.  Also, check out Felidae and Watership Down~

Well, I watched GI Joe - The Rise of Cobra yesterday, which was opening day.
It was an ok watch for me, the CG looked... Rushed, and sometimes, a bit far off.
Then again, it's GI Joe. Then again, they did use the famous line.

I'm watching you all. Always watching.

I watched GI Joe yesterday too. I liked it, but then again I know nothing of GI Joe, so you guys could have complains about how they handled thing. However, be warned that it REALLY is non-stop action, you can pretty much count the minutes when [parasitic bomb] is not blowing up.

Although this movie isn't new, I think quite a few people may want to watch it. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a movie called MEGA SHARK V.S. GIANT OCTOPUS.

Wait, that movie has been out for a while already?

*checks some youtube clips* Oh god, it looks even worse than I thought if that was possible XD

I'm debating seeing GI Joe.  I heard decent reviews for it, but I'm not sure if I wanna pay to see really shitty CG.  And having dabbled in CG and knowing what to look for, I can spot it a mile away.  Bad CG isn't funny like bad special effects, it's just bad CG.  And that's terrible.

Oh, the CG is horrible, I suck at spotting bad CG, but even I could tell how horrible it was when that helicopter/airplane/thing looked right out of a video game.

Eew.  Yeah, that's pretty damn bad CG.  That kinda bad CG would just be distracting.

That's as bad as it got IIRC (but it was still horrible), the CG isn't like that all the time, but if you have a good eye for CG then you'd probably notice its lack of quality.

I say watch it anyways because I found it to be fun with your brain turned off.

This. And it's in the first 10 minutes of the movie.
Well, it's an origins movie, or so they say...

Well, I saw it, and it wasn't as bad as say Transformers 2. Still, the only characters they got remotely right were Snake Eyes and Scarlett. The CG did bug me at points though.

I want to go see it, but...I don't know if it'd be worth it. Poor CG doesn't really bother me, I just have no working knowledge of the G.I. Joe universe at all. Does that matter, or is this one of those "reinventions" for people who've never watched the cartoon?

Yes, it's a reinvention. There's many many things that are completely different from how they were originally. The plot seems very questionable from time to time, as well.

Christopher Eccelston wasn't bad in the film, reminded his performance in the "Gone in 60 Minutes" remake.

As for the movie, in terms of an action movie with limited characterization and optimum explosions, was excellent and worthy of multiple viewings (come the home release) if you want to shut your brain off and enjoy the ride. That is more than I can say for the 2 1/2 hour mindrape that was Revenge of the Fallen.

Come and read some Thoughts of a Platypus

Hey, I was never really a fan of the cartoon, and I walked out of this movie satisfied at the summer blockbusturian film that it was.  As a few people have already said, it's definitely better than Transformers 2.  XD

I don't think that's real, but I did hear that they are possibly making a new He-Man movie in 2011.

A live action Thundercats movie?  No it wouldn't.  The ONLY, ONLY good that would come out of a live-action Thundercats movie, and the ONLY reason I want one, is because they would hopefully make a perfect movie prop Sword of Omens, which I would buy instantly.

Went to see the Star Trek movie in my local Cinema 5. Was pretty meh.

Workshop/DA/YT/Photobucket なにかんがえてるの!?
So its about ass now huh? EVEN THE ASS HAS 'EXCEEDED'!

One mention of LEGENDS and everyone goes batshit.  :\

Yep, every time when someone mentions that game people get energized for an apparent reason whatsoever. It's like this everywhere else, trust me.

It got really messy to find my sprite and comic topic, so it's in my sig.

Saw Inglorious Bastards a few days ago, The film went in a totally direction then I thought it would.

"This hand of mine glows with an awesome power! It's burning grip tells me to defeat you! Take this! My love, my anger, and all of my sorrow! Shining Finger!!~ "

"This hand of mine is burning red! It's loud roar tells me to grasp victory! Erupting...Burning...FINGER!!!~"
