It's basically a Metroid clone, minus the aliens. Holdover is actually a puzzle-platformer by the doujin circle, Fox Eye, where you play as Marie, the loli'd Samus Aran as she finds her way out of an underground ruin and evading many death traps around her in order to contact the outside world for extraction. The game is actually a freeware, so you can download the game off their site for free.
