Fan Creations / Mega Man X Fanime Project
« on: April 18, 2014, 03:24:29 AM »
Hello all.
I'm just letting you all know about our project, the MMX Fanime Project. What we're trying to do is animate the entire X series (and I mean the whole thing) as, starting with OVAs leading up to and then starting with the events of X1, go into an actual episodal, season-style animated show.. We plan on going 3D using MikuMikuDance and MikuMikuMotion (free 3D animation programs mainly meant for Vocaloid use but thankfully, there's a dedicated X fan out in Japan who made X, Zero, Axl, etc, so we have her awesome models to use) and now we're actually starting to make some of our own and will slowly but surely bring to life the world of X in 3D. Granted, it's a fanproject but, this image shows just what we've done so far, baring X himself of course..
We made the LandChaser, then it was Merti's original form from the manga (our project lead and scripter really pulls a lot from the Manga), Teal, and our first of the the 8 original Mavericks to be made, Boomer Kuwanger. (He's a very heavy custom conversion from his MHX model. Some parts were deleted and removed and replaced with 3D model software, Metasequoia. Not all of the Mavericks will be done like this, but for someone like Boomer I felt it was best since he is a bug, to keep most of his MHX parts since that would make him look like a bug more... bugs are kinda jagged after all.)
This project has actually been around for 5 or so years and we're just finally getting more people who are able to help us get everything off the ground. We're actually a global team of MMX fans too. We have most of us in the US, but we have a few members of VAs (including our X VA) in the Netherlands, one of us is in Argentina and another in Saudi Arabia.
Anyhow, just giving you guys a heads up. I'll occasionally post here with more pictures and progress. OVA 1 is actually going to be released soon as a radio drama (and then animated in MMD once we have models of everyone we need).
Oh! And have an animation test of our Zero VA (and my awesome fiance Zeke) helping me test the Kinect in MikuMikuMoving with the Zero model!

Have a great day! ^_^

New Rockman figures coming out soon.
I hope I can at least get one Blues and one Forte. These are just the unfinished prototypes. I'm sure we'll see full color examples soon.
*SQUEE!* X and Zero! YAY! Can't wait!

From what I understood of it, it was some new enemies, with a few X2 bosses rehashed and such and infected with that "Limited" virus, I just have no English translation of it to where I could grasp the basic plotline and otherwise, it wouldn't be -too- hard to do, I figure.. Since it was kinda like X2.5, I would go with 16-bit sprites of the boys, and well, there y'go. I don't think it would be too hard to get the basics down, just would take while to sprite the main bosses, figure attack patterns, etc. But otherwise, the basics are already there, and to be honest I'm surprised nobody has done it sooner..!

Here's one that hopefully I can do sometime soon now that I have some spare time:
Nobody's made a fan-game based off of that Japan-only CCG that was kinda like X2.5... Doppler, IX/RX, etc.. If I could just find some page or a decent translation of the main story/plot, I think this would make an excellent X series fangame and would probably whet our whistles for a little while until Capcom gets off their butts and gets to X9.. Thoughts?
