-Shadow The Hedgehog (GCN; it's no SA2, but it's better than most give it credit for)
-Sonic Adventure 2 (DC; less by the general public and more by the so-called "professional" press)
If we're talking underrated Sonic games, we have to talk about Sonic '06. That game was no glitchier than any other Sonic game, & people abhor it. I found it to be all I wanted in a SA3.

Yknow, now that I reflect upon it, I actually liked 3's Wily stage 4, not 2, best.
Well, 2 we're talking about is 3 & 4. You mean 5 I think.

Wily Stages in 5 rocks.

But his wiggle [parasitic bomb] sells, so his craziness is making money.
Doesn't make it not bullshit & doesn't change that it's crazy in the first place. The '80s made money, & lots of stuff popular then was crazy. Even today that stands, just look at Lady Gaga. Too bad the crazy stuff I mentioned is awesome, unlike wiggle waggle Wii.

I swear, nothing gets me more confused than people slandering Miyamoto. It's as if making Nintendogs or Wii (name here) erases the fact that the man ever had any part in Super Mario Bros. 3, A Link to The Past, Ocarina of Time, a a metric [parasitic bomb] ton of other things the way people go on. XD

Not to say I endorse everything he does, but seriously, how can anyone not give him the benefit of a doubt with his ideas after looking at all of that?
Precisely. He made all that crazy [parasitic bomb], & then somehow managed to get crazier. He's traversing new territory in crazy.

^When the man is well past his prime and not much has been done to make the genre's he's most heavily involved in stand out, the big things tend to go to the sidelines. It's the George Lucas argument; the man made some great stuff back in the day, but nowadays you're more likely to find junk instead.
I've never liked George Lucas. Even his first movies were mediocre. People just talk about them a lot. Not that they're not fun.

X also, in almost every game he talks in, complains "I dont want to fight you!" and tries to reason with them, but like Zan said, they attack him. also, on the Investigators on 6, they were revived illegaly in the first place, and they were aiding in spreading a deadly tentacle virus, out of mostly blind loyalty to Gate. They are still criminals, even if they are good at heart. (Turtloid and Sheldon are prime candidates for this.)
Gate was the only one who opposed their disposal.

X / Re: Robot Prejudice: Has this been explored in the X series?
« on: November 05, 2009, 03:51:18 AM »
I don't agree with that statement.  Yes, Turtloid and Sheldon were honorable.  So was Wolfang.  But what about Heatnix?  He left his comrads die just because he was stronger than they were and didn't want to be held back.  Mijinion?  The guy was itching to terrorize people B-movie style with a giant robot.  Scaravich was a thief and Metal Shark Player was power-hungry, maybe not the most threatening of Reploids but by no means saints.
Mijinion didn't do that until after he was disposed, & since when is thievery worthy of death? Scaravich was scared to death of X & Zero, because they're like the SS.

Yammark is kind of a big question mark.  His most dominant personality trait is paranoia as a result of his death, so we don't know much about what he was like before then.  Only that the forest wound up burned on his watch.  Might have been his fault or it might not.
I thought the fire was from him crashing.

Mainly X6 doesn't mention that decision as coming from humans any more so than it does Reploids.  There's no racist theme to X6, rather the issue there would be paranoia of the ruling class and how far they'll push the moral line to extinguish their fears.  How justified those fears were varies with each individual 'roid, as mentioned above.
I think most of that is just the need to justify a boss battle while the bosses are still sane.
Who do you think is in charge at this point? Certainly not Reploids. Their lives are so easily forfeit.

Honestly, when a falling space colony is threatening to annihilate the Earth, that is not the time to be nit-picking over the appropriate level of force to use against criminals.  They're risking the planet for the sake of their own bickering, talk about moronic.
X & Zero still took their things by force.

Is that how they don't wind up the same with Rare Candies? [tornado fang] that. Grinding blows. I'd rather just use Rare Candies after the Elite Four.

DEBATE OVER

MM3 was when the plot for Mega Man got ballsy & actually made Wily dead, until 4 [tornado fang]'d that all up, obviously. It was never really as implied as strongly as in 3 that this might be the final showdown, & I like to treat 1-3 as a separate story arch with that as an alternate ending. It's like how you have to look at pre-Trunks differently than post-Trunks.

As for RnF's weapons, I thought they were the best set. I use Wave Burner for the invincible things that slide back & forth. Remote Mine is so awesome I wanna [parasitic bomb] my pants. Copy Shot is good for all sorts of things. Magic Card is boss. Tengu Blade I never use, but only because the slice overrides the slide. I think it should've just given Mega Man a dash that he couldn't jump out of like a dash, but could still cancel like a dash. Spread Drill had mad good range, & Lightning Bolt was your typical screen nuke.

Descent is a classic.

Cybernators has slightly different controls than Metal Warriors. Cybernators lets you hold your direction of your mech & gun with one of the shoulder buttons, whereas Metal Warriors has shoulder mounted weapons you can pick up that use that button.

Metal Warriors is by far the most entertaining multiplayer SNES game I've ever played. I've played it for like 6 hours straight with a group of 5 people. There's 6 mechs from which to choose in it: Nitro, Havoc, Prometheus, Drache, Ballistic, & Spider. Every mech has 3 weapons/abilities.

Nitro gets a gun, a beam saber, & an energy shield you can leave in place & run behind, or deploy when running away to avoid getting hit in the back. Nitro can also infinitely use the jets on his back.

Havoc has a chain gun, a chain for melee, & a squat dash similar to Trigger. He, however, is limited by his feet jets on jump height.

Prometheus has mines that float up, a gun that explodes & sends shrapnel in 8 directions, & the deadliest flamethrower ever. He can't jump at all, but can build bridges.

Drache's face buttons are for firing in all 8 directions without any time wasted to re-aim a weapon. His dive bomb can kill the opponent in about 2 to 3 seconds. Drache is full flight & doesn't land.

Ballistic can slam while a ball, & has 2 guns while gun platform, a normal one & one that charges. The lower charge is a barrage of maybe like 5 or so powerful shots, & the charge is one even more powerful shot that knocks them back & deals damage based on time they spend inside it. Ballistic just jumps like normal, but the slam is 8 directional, so you can bounce up elevator shafts & stuff.

Spider walks on walls. His shield is a cloak rather than a shield. He has a normal gun, a web that can trap opponents in place, & a face strike.

Just keep picking Scramble after matches & it'll give a random stage & random mechs to both players. It's so fun.

I hate DVDs. They print so many more discs than they need to just to inflate the price. I don't even buy that crap, what with the Internet & all. They should just be honest & maybe I would be too.

Plus, they had a habit of sometimes not following rules. To which Gate didnt scold them, but rather encouraged them. Case in point Scaravitch and Shark Player.
Scaravich deserved to die because he went where he wasn't supposed to? Metal Shark was rezzing Reploids, which is kinda dangerous, but the other 6 weren't that bad. Turtloid & Sheldon were just killed for being advanced. They couldn't help that. Of course they were loyal to Gate.

In X4 Repliforce was leading a revolution against the racist humans. It was pretty heavily implied.

And RnF was pretty bad with its mandatory ice wall use at times.
Weren't you just complaining about a single weapon not being useful enough? Are you ever content?
