Rockman Series / Re: MM Art Request thread.
« on: October 12, 2009, 05:05:38 AM »
Just out of curiosity, does anyone have some good Legends wallpapers. If some widescreen ones have been made by anyone that would be even more awesome. Typically it seems any I find are grainy or low resolution (1024x768 or lower).

Remember that Capcom promised something *amazing*

My guess is they're "amazing game" was RE5:DC...

Okay, thanks for the clarification on X8. Yeah I very well know of the DASH 2 for PC, but everytime I've seen an English torrent it's ended up either being the PS1 version or it had no seeders to find out what it is.

I know there was also a demo released for X1 which if I recall was just the first level. Kind of interesting the X5 and legends demos were 1 hour timed, was it 1 hour unlimited distance in the game?

As a couple of you might know I'm trying to collect all of the US released Mega Man games, and well I am actually almost done with consoles and handhelds. I have 5 console games left and 3 handheld games left (going by what has been released so far). Well soon I'll be at the point where I'll really have to work on the PC versions of games. Well unfortunately all I have is a complete copy of X5 so far.

After searching around on the internet I've compiled a list of US released games, but I wanted to make sure it's accurate, and hopefully some of you can help?

Mega Man - 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 floppy
Mega Man 3 - 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 floppy and CD-ROM bundled with Street Fighter 2
Mega Man X - CD-ROM (game alone, and a version bundled with a controller)
Mega Man X3 - CD-ROM
Mega Man X4 - CD-ROM
Mega Man X5 - CD-ROM
Mega Man X three pack - CD-ROM comes with X3-X5
Mega Man X8 - CD-ROM or DVD? I haven't found the answer for this yet.
Mega Man Legends - CD-ROM

Some sites also say Legends 2 was released, but from my reading it looks like it was set to be released and even got a SKU which can be found by looking online, but was never actually released. Whenever I've sent Capcom an email asking about this I've gotten nothing in return.  :|

It looks more like a boat.

This.

Honestly it's just a boat with some waves from the motor behind it...

This guy brought in all his neo geo pocket stuff today at the game shop I work at, and he offered to sell me this for $10. Which of course I took! Then to make it better he thinks he has the box and instructions and he's going to bring them in within the next couple days.

Aldo, I will semi-bite that one. Sure the DS lite was alright since it had a better screen, but it had terrible hinges that easily break. The DSi though was almost completely pointless. They cut off GBA compatibility and will lead to forcing people to upgrade since there will only be DSi games soon that don't work on the DS.

Also Kallen the PSP Slim wasn't completely pointless it added twice the memory to improve load times and web browsing. How many people do you see using the DS browser because of it's memory restrictions. =P

Anime & Manga / Re: What Anime are you Currently Watching?
« on: August 15, 2009, 05:41:55 AM »
I actually just finished watching Code Geass and Code Geass R2. Holy hell these series were amazing. The ending of R2 was so sad though! ;^;

Prior to this series though I had watched both seasons of Gundam 00. Now I need to find something new to watch.

Well at work we had a midnight sale for Madden 2010. As part of the sale we had 30% off used games under $30.

So here's what I picked up!

Super Mario Land - Free! (wasn't in the system for some reason)
Mega Man Battle Network - $9.06
Mega Man Battle Network 2 - $6.25
Mega Man Star Force Leo - $11.87
Tomba - $17.47 (Whoo!)
Sonic 06 - $11.87
Rayman Raving Rabbids - $9.06

So after these purchases today I'm down to 26 (21 if you don't count downloadable ones) Mega Man games

I don't believe it's speculation on future planning. Capcom Guy is saying that it is really happening. I'm glad that older thread with Capcom Guy was found to help back up his validity.

I suppose we can only hope it gets announced at TGS this year.

Honestly I say since it took 11 years for us to get Mega Man 9 obviously we'll get Legends 3 in 2 years. So sorry you guys got 9 more years for ZX 3. =P

« on: August 06, 2009, 01:17:02 AM »
Hey, figured since I've enjoyed the content on this site and Protodude's blog for quite some time now I might as well join the forums.

For a little bit of info about me I've been seriously collecting video games for about a year and a half now. With of course the blue bomber being my favorite. Currently for Mega Man games I own 55 (including the same game on different consoles, like all 3 versions of the anniversary collection), and I have a MM9 Press Kit still sealed of course. =) I also have a rather good collection of Atari 2600/5200 and Colecovision games.

Anyways I hope to enjoy my stay! =)

*I swear I'm getting sick of edits since I keep missing games when counting how many I have. =P
