Personality Overview: Alejandro is at first glance a wandering optimist, traveling the world just for the fun of it. But first and foremost, Alejandro is a knight. He's a relentless flirt (prefers women, but isn't against a bit of teasing with the men) and almost always carries a daisy or some other floral arrangement to offer. No one knows where he gets this endless supply of flowers ??? It may not seem like it due to his carefree, fun-loving behavior, but he does take his battle duties as seriously as any other knight. He does have a tendency towards impulsive action, however, as well as a penchant for starting a gazillion things and never finishing them.
History: Alejandro grew up in a fairly large family, with three sisters and a brother. Having so many women in the house taught him to value chivalry. His mother was an excellent cook, fueling his love of food. Growing up, he was always carefree and musical, often getting yelled at for tapping his foot to whatever tune was stuck in his head. At 13, he made his first guitar, a crudely built thing that looked more like a retarded ukulele. He built another a year later and has been tweaking it ever since; it has a crack in it now, but it's well polished.
At 15, the urge to wander took hold of him, and he ditched home with just a short goodbye. (He still writes the rare letter home.) His brother, in contrast, had decided to stay with the family and work on their farm. Alejandro took the family mule, Dumbo, and set out to travel the world. (No one knows where he got the name.) It is worth noting that he had a mullet at this point, but has since seen the error of his fashion choice.
Hopes / Desires: He's an optimist, big time. He's convinced that Rousseau was right and that people all have some good in them somewhere. Thus, he really hopes for peace and brotherhood in the world, but he knows that if he has to fight for it, he will without hesitation.Fight for everlasting peace!
Fears / Phobias: He hates commitment. The only oath he'll take is one to himself, and that was his vow of chivalry. He's afraid of drowning, too, because people who grow up in the Yied Desert don't learn to swim. He also gets self-conscious when he's around people he can't entertain.
Favorite and Hated Foods / Drinks: Food-wise, he isn't picky, but he has a tendency to want cheese on everything. (It's surprisingly good on apples!) As for drinks, Alejandro loves a good glass of lemonade. He isn't much of a drinker, but he gets kind of weird when he's drunk. He starts thinking he's funnier than he is, and gets much louder than usual. It would not be surprising to see him with a lampshade on his head.
Education: Not a whole lot. He didn't learn to read until a few years ago, when he sat in on a kindergarten for magic students just for the lulz. Yes, there were five-year-olds who learned faster than him. He's terrible at math, but his book dumbness hides a man with plenty of wisdom to offer.
Hobbies: Obviously he knows how to ride a horse if he's a cavalier. He's a musician primarily; he plays guitar most of the time, but also knows the way of the cowbell. He has a subpar singing voice, however. It's not deadly terrible, but he could never be famous for it. Sometimes he writes poetry and tries to make it into song lyrics. The results range from average to abysmal.
Special Abilities: He's got very sharp eyes and quick reflexes. When an enemy approaches him, he's always the first to attack. He can also recognize most songs by the first few bars, and has the ability to play by ear.
