When you realize that since Steven's official birthday is in August, then that makes Peridot his birthgem.

Actually, I'm planning to design and sell Gemsona adopts based on locally-collected rocks and minerals.  Gonna create the Pennsylvania Kindergarten and give each Gem a birthplace.

Egg-hatching has been slow since I hurt my ankle.

I use Uber often, and yes, I use Uber to go into town so I can catch Pokemon.  I'm also usually running errands while I'm there.  It's only recently that we got Uber around here.

I also admit to catching Pokemon while in my dad's car as he's going through town.  I hit PokeStops that way.  But, most of the PokeHunts I do on foot.

Pearl, you are so gay.  SOOOOOOOO GAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY~

I love this show. XD

212
So, I was talking with an Uber driver the other day and he said that some guy around here hires an Uber driver all night to drive him around to catch Pokemon.

Not just drive him to a location, he hunts, and gets an Uber back.  No, stay in the car and the driver drives him around town as he catches Pokemon.  Nightly fares are easily $300.

Kinda defeats the purpose of Pokemon Go.

My ankle has been sore all week.  I'm not even sure what happened to it.  It may have been when I slipped off the curb.

216
I raise you a Yellow Diamond.

217
I saw that Hypno.  I SAW IT.

Also, is it just me, or does Lusamine look like someone's Gemsona design?

I finally saved up enough Drowzee Candy to evolve my first Drowzee!  Lavvy is now a Hypno~

I hurt my ankle, so I'm wearing a brace.

Basically, it's gonna be quite a while before it becomes standard.  We have nothing to worry about.  I can still do voice acting and audio/video editing, do AR and reshoots, and not have to worry about replacing all my equipment.

You wanna get proprietary headphones for the new USB?  Fine, whatever.  I wouldn't mind having a set because I can run them through the charging port.  One port for all things is fine.  I don't care.

But in terms of the life expectancy of the 3.5mm jack... it's not going away any time soon.  Waaaaaaaay too many things other than phones use it.

221
Studios would have to get all new equipment and startups would be screwed.  In the A/V world, that jack is not going away.

222
Apple is a classist company and would pull a dick move like that.

I'm not a Mac user, so I'm not worried.

223
That's just for phones, though.  The 3.5mm jack isn't going extinct.

224
Cameras use it, as does most audio equipment.  It's a universal jack.

The thing about proprietary jacks and ports is that it's harder for manufacturers to make them accessible and backwards compatible.  You won't see many—if any—third-party manufacturers using it.  They're gonna stick to using the universal parts because they are cheaper.

In the end, cheaper will end up winning out and that jack isn't going anywhere.  Apple can be as hoity-toity as it wants and cater to only the wealthy because it's a classist company, but their proprietary components will be in the solid minority when it comes to accessories and third-party peripherals.

225
Yeah, far too many things use that jack.  Personal music players, Android tablets, external speakers, microphones, other phones, radios, computers, etc.
