The bubble is made from a unique liquid with phenomenal surface tension, Plumbum is not a liquid, nor is it unique, nor does it have phenomenal surface tension. Also, BubbleMan is an environmentalist, he isn't going to go pollute the ocean with lead bubbles.

Finally, I'm just going to play devil's advocate and say it's Bubble Read.

Actually, in both cases, it's more Zero saving their ass that leads to that.  Coincidentally the same applies to Zero's red-haired Resistance affair.  In Iris's case, being Zero's navigator was kind of a retroactive thing.  While she was support for the Hunters all along, there's not much indication of her working specifically with Zero in X4.

X is so totally doing it wrong, he could have gotten it on with Nana just like that. But I guess Nana prefers robot Triceratops.

Well, thanks both. Definitely helps. Wonder who got it first, though >.>

Anyway,

I'm going to have to correct myself a bit. All the World games are several months apart. The one side game that reference Rockman4 as having occured several months ago is either Soccer or Rockboard. MarshmallowMan mentioned it last forum, but since it can't be recovered, without him backing it up I can't confirm which one it was.

Of your old thread, Johnboy, only this could be recovered:

http://64.233.183.104/search?q=cache:37HNXCyvlNEJ:forum.rockmanpm.com/index.php%3Ftopic%3D7579.25+Stories+from+the+manuals+of+lesser+classic+games%3F

The RnF WS list is one thing I was interested in:

-Gospel Boost (8+)
-Forte Buster (RnF+)
-Team Rockman and Forte (RnF+)
-Roll (8+)
-Tango (W5+)
-Reggae (Rockboard+)
-Eddie (3+)

The Rockman and Forte team was first established during the incident with King as Wily being kicked out of his castle and seeking refuge at Light's place led to Rockman and Forte working together like a team. Forte's gameplay mechanics are also very closely related to RnF. Roll implicates a post 8 game. But before 9.

All in all, everything in that game is made with being an RnF sequel in mind.

So what you're trying to say is... with Albert and Uroborus gone Model W might actually recover completely?

Model W to Ouroboros is Albert's creation. What I reckon that Model W as Weil, would recover completely on its own as an even more powerful entity were it megamerged with the person that wishes to become the King. Ouroboros is the merger of all Model W and is the ultimate Biometal. Ouroboros is thus likely to be able to be used in a megamerge as well.

However, Albert is able to become King without merging with Ouroboros by employing his A-trans in connection with Model W's soul eating to establish True A-trans, so Model W's own "ressurrection", as the game calls it, is stopped at the Ouroboros stage. Remember that Serpent's merger with Model W is just a certain stage in its development, only the first "final key" was used, the true final key remains elusive and Serpent became only a shadow of the King.

With Albert gone, Ouroborous can be recovered and used for Weil's resurrection.

Of course, all of that ties in with why Thomas thought Albert was wrong and if Model W is influencing Thomas or not. Which is unknown until a third ZX game arrives.

????: Prometheus... Pandora... Your centuries of anger... suffering... hate... and insanity along  with your battles against other Mega Men have given me the data I need!

Furthermore, when the same thing happened to Vent, Aile and the Raider, the process did not kill them. The Raider died of fear, nothing else. There's also something to be said for Grey/Ashe wishing to rescue them after they collapse.

I know that silly, but honestly, tell me it wouldnt kick ass? Doc weil back at it again?

Within the first ZX, it's heavily implicated that merging with Model V will result in Dr. Vile's revival. From Serpent becoming more and more like him to the continuous evolution of Model V during the battle. It's simply that Albert's intended Ouroborous is severely going against Vile's own wish to recover.

lol.

To rephrase myself; Zero4's finale can only exist with Zero's heroic sacrifice, his very action whilst knowing his demise was imminent. Zero chose to rid the world of himself but whilst fighting for his true conviction. Everything about Zero himself is brought full circle in that ending. It is the epitome of why Zero the destroyer is a hero. The sheer epic nature of Zero telling Vile what he did in that drastic scenario made the finale highly enjoyable. Even with Ciel's sad moments that followed, everything was set up so that the player for once would experience what it meant to be Zero and why he would dare to throw his life away, that is something neither X1 nor X5 managed to portray.

ZERO: I never cared about justice, and I don't recall ever calling myself a hero... I have always fought for the people I believe in. I won't hesitate... If an enemy appears in front of me, I will destroy it!

yeah, but X shouldnt be around heimself during Viles incident... theres no way he could be projecting himself and 4 others when he himself lost the power to enter the real world in Z3. X had 2 reasons for being able to enter the real world. 1, his physical body was still intact, and active, acting as the power source for Dark Elf's containment unit. therefore It acted as a sort of gateway to the physical world, and as a power source for himself as well. as since his body was still active and he was  still "connected" to it in some form, he could use its power for himself as well.

I really don't think it's ever said anywhere that Cyber Elf-X needs his physical body as a source of energy, as a matter of fact, he was far too busy sealing away Dark Elf, it would be more negative to him than positive. And X was dying at ZERO3's end in that his consciousness was merging with the metaphorical abyss of data. However, X's will kept him together and he declared living on together with everyone to see the future now that the world is beginning to change. As of Vile's Incident, X recovered but was still unable to assist Zero.

I'm curious as to why Omega in particular would bring about the rifts allowing access to Cyberspace. Mother Elf I could understand, what with elves altering reality by rewriting cyberspace, but Omega is... just a reploid?

Dark Elf and Omega share a unique relation, the doors are appearing because of their resonance.

Also, Zan, what is your reasoning for Strategy being after TPF? I'm also interested in your thinking behind the placing of RockBoard and Soccer.

There are reasons why I deem that timeline outdated and fit for a rewrite, you shouldn't use it as a source, I contradict the notion of Strategy after PF in my latest post in the thread.

Soccer is after 5 because Beat is present. And Rockboard's placement is exactly why I want to recover a couple of posts. From my recollection, Rockboard is several months after 4 and World3 is several months after World2.

Which places them as:

World 2
>
Rockman 4
>
World 3 ||> Rockboard
>
Rockman 5

With Rockboard being statistically likely to be after World3, but still uncertain. Several months from 3 and several month from World2 would make Rockboard after World3 unless the several months time passage is significantly shorter for Rockboard than World3.

Quote
Rockman World 5
Super Adventure Rockman

Rockman 5
>
(World 4 > World 5) || Super Adventure
>
Rockman 6

Similar case to Rockboard vs World3. But this time between three games; Super Adventure is uncertain in relation to World 4 > World 5. However by making assumptions of World5 and Super Adventure's plot and calculations of 3 years versus three to four times several months. You could presume Super Adventure as after World 4 and before World 5.

Rockman 5
>
World 4 || Super Adventure
>
World 5

Incidentally, whether or not Phantom obtained such status is canonically questionable.  He appears outside of Cyberspace only through e-Reader cards, similar to Zero's Resistance date and Andrew's younger body, the latter of which is seemingly discredited by Physis.  Fefnir and Leviathan speak with Phantom in Telos, but that's in X's presence, and in the "interim between life and death" (I'm guessing that's a fancy way of saying zonked out, like Zero near the end of Z3).

I don't think the E-reader is canonically questionable. They're just alternate scenarios which don't happen in the timeline. Andrew simply never attained his younger body, but there's no question that he could.

Also, about Phantom's interaction with Zero at the base, projecting himself like X and Giro do is probably very tasking. Compare it to a ghost trying to become visible, it's such an intangible thing that it's barely ever seen. We know Phantom can't project his image or appear in the substance world readily, as he never once met up with his comrades to inform them about what he learned.

I reckon the glowing orb state is a much easier state of being for a Cyber Elf,  but ZERO3 is when the doors are omnipresent, so Phantom has a means to leave cyberspace readily. Before that, he's simply stuck in cyberspace with limited substance world interaction. And even as the glowing orb, he can only transmit his feelings of sadness to call out to Zero. So, Phantom is still very very limited. I'd take Inti's E-readery word for it though, they called him a Cyber-Elf, so he is one.

As for TELOS, that is simply because of X's presence. What Phantom is saying is that they're NOT a drifting interim between life and death, in other words, they're not dead and a Cyber Elf like Phantom. Projection being only possible with X around is also validated by the appearance of Phantom's projected image in Vile's Incident. Inti's interview might say it's supposedly vague in timeline but it can not happen before everyone's death by virtue of Phantom's cyber effects and their reunion in TELOS.

Is this from Ariga's manga or another source?  Because Ariga's manga makes a few stretches in regards to consistency with the games, most notably the time of Light's arrest.

Ariga's manga, yeah. But there is some merit to it within the games, mostly in Roll having to explain it to Rock and Roll not having been expired yet herself. All other previous robots haven't been shown expired either, but I think saying the original 6 are exceptions might be stretching it a bit as we know they're often on Wily's side and thus dodging laws like that

Quote
Hmm, okay...  I still don't get why there are set dates for obsoletion of sentient robots that aren't even assigned to special projects, just regular ongoing jobs.  Isn't the world going to need more lifeguards, quality control inspectors, etc.?

It's not about quantity, they can make plenty of different robots for the job if they need to. What the law is about is ditching robots before they go haywire from having been active for too long and actually trying to avoid outdated robots from doing work better robots can be doing.

Quote
well, phantom IS a secret boss in Z3, which gives you the ultima boots, and he never really "interacts witht he real world" more that Zero, entered cyberspace through one of the rifts, and encountered him. Phantom never re-entered the real world until he became the purple ranger morph device.

Get equipped with E-reader, or cheat codes. We're talking about his appearance as a Cyber-Elf as a resistance base.

PnP likely decided to apply it to others after the monkey wrench that is Ciel's legendary hero Biometals were thrown into the mix.

With all Ciel's mucking up the Game of Destiny, it's such irony that Albert was defeated by his own back up. Though the need for Grey probably arose from Ciel's Livemetal creation in the first place, so I suppose it is simply fate.

Quote
The mind control overrides the Biometal's will with that of the user, so the Biometal would in theory have to be present for it to be completed.

I'd like to add here that Pandora does not specify whose mind is supposed to be controlled. It's the fans assumption that his mind is the one that should have been controlled using the mind control.  Grey's might question what they have done to him, but it's revealed Grey was made to be Albert's back up and thus should be one his side without any mind control, as a matter of fact, Albert believes until the end that Grey would turn to his side of his own free will.

Really, the only thing that would go with Grey needing mind control is the fact that he's constantly referred to as a defective, but that is simply Pandora and Prometheus' view spread around to the Falseroids and Chosen Ones. Pandora and Prometheus are obviously biased against all of Albert's creations. There are also more reason for Grey being defective, like him missing vital info about the Game of Destiny and also Model A not being surpressed. If both those parameters were met, then they wouldn't need mind control to turn Grey to Albert's side. The information given through the ciphers is why Albert kept on hoping that Grey would turn to his side, he just didn't expect Model A to withhold it.

Didn't really need those timelines, since they're the same ones I have up at MMN, but the thought is appreciated.

What I need is actually the long discussion between Gaunlet, MarshmallowMan and myself in the thread about "where do the gameboy games fit into the timeline?" and then my own posts and again MarshmallowMan's in the classic chronology thread where I cited the timeline passage from the other thread, made a list of why RnF CftF is after RnF and MarshmallowMan mentioned how long MegaMission2 is after X3 (I think it was two months.)

...what you say about Model Z containing Zero's soul (lack of a better word) is wrong.

Prairie: A long time ago, the world of humans and machines was saved by a group of legends. Biometal are fragments containing the consciousness of those legendary heroes. There might be some hint regarding the Maverick outbreaks in the data stored at the lab. Fleuve's personal laboratory is right next to the Transerver room. Take the Biometal data there for analysis. I'll be here analyzing the computer chip that you brought back.

Prairie: Yes, the soul of that man contained in a fragment of Ragnarok. That's Model W. Sis recognized its existance and set about to create something capable of fighting the threat. She used her research to create Biometal with the powers of legendary heroes from an age long ago.

Model P: It is our destiny across the ages to protect the world of Man. Let us once again become humanity's blade for striking down evil.

Model H: Hmph. Those humans we fought so hard to protect hundreds of years ago have been lulled into a false sense of security by the empty promise of peace. But I still believe our fight had meaning. So, young hero, yes I will lend you my strenght. Serpent has seperated my data into two halves. There is another Pseudoroid with the other part. If you can defeat it, I will be able to give you my password.

Model L: I am the Biometal of the Ice, Model L. Thank you for freeing me from that awful body. You're looking for the rest of the disk right? I'm sorry, but it has already been taken somewhere. A hundred years have passed since the war, but it looks like some things will never change.
Vent: A man named Serpent is attempting to reawaken Model W. To stop him, I need your help and the password.
Model L: Hmm... Model Z, I heard the story about Serpent. I know you were linked with a host body, but I heard he beat you in combat.
Model Z: Yes... My failure led to the death of a good man named Giro.
Model L: I see... Alright, I'll join you. It should be an interesting challenge to take on the one who bested the great Model Z. I'll give you my password, but the data is split into two halves. The other Pseudoroid with my power has the remaining half. I won't be able to give you the complete password until you defeat him.

Then there's the additional statement in the ZX guide that Livemetals have Cyber Elf-like abilities.

Quote
One thing I want to bring up: It's Zero, and it's Capcom. Known for really bad ret-conning (seriously, Zero's ending in X6 makes his beginning in X7 impossible), they can come up with something.

Not a retcon, X6's Zero ending was never meant to take place directly after X6. In fact, if it did, it'd be in contradiction with X's ending. X7, X8 and XCM simply take place before Zero's X6 ending but after X's X6 ending.

Quote
Here's my theory on the whole subject: Zero lived through the re-entry,
Quote
I know, I'm just saying Zero didn't die IMMEDIATELY or DIRECTLY. More like, getting shot, and not dieing from the bullet piercing a vital organ but from blood-loss. At some point, the remaining Big 4 three croaked and Ciel made everyone happy little biometals.

You know, even if you can survive atmospheric re-entry, hitting the ground at terminal velocity will kill you.

As for the Big4.

Why were the Four Guardians excluded from Zero 4?

AIZU: A lot of people ask that question, but the reason is simply because they all died at the end of Zero 3, shielding Zero from the big explosion.
HONDA: But for some reason they still show up in the booklet for the soundtrack.
AIZU: That was just Nakayama being generous with his drawings. (laughs) In the booklet of the fourth Zero sountrack, there is an illustration of X standing on a tower with beams coming from the Four Guardians... I didn't ask Nakayama to draw it, though. He kind of already had it drawn. (laughs) Tell us, Nakayama! What point in the timeline is that image from?
NAKAYAMA: I'm not sure... when could it be?
AIZU: The timeframe and events of the illustration were a little fuzzy, so we just kind of threw it in there. (laughs)

Quote
At the beginning of RMZ2 he fought alone until he found Ceil again.

With ZERO1 to ZERO2, Zero was separated from the resistance because he landed in the desert after atmospheric re-entry with X's assistance (which still knocked him unconscious) and the Resistance was subsequently attacked by Neo Arcadia and forced to flee and establish a new base.  As of ZERO4, he does not have that issue.

Quote
And I never said he was alive for the next 200 years...just that he survived Ragnarok.

Way to ruin Zero's epic finale.

Quote
Cyberspace was accessible because a rift was caused by the appearance of Omega. X in RMZ3 went to cyberspace because he was running outta power and "could not stay in this world any longer." The only soul (cyber elf) Ceil could possibly get her hands on was Zero's when and if his body was destroyed...

The doors to cyberspace exist to enter that realm yourself. As a scientist, you need not enter it, you simply need to acquire the data it holds. That is how Dr. Vile, a revival specialist, does it. He can acquire the data from cyberspace, reproduce that data to revive the Repliroid as a Cyber Elf before giving said Repliroid a new body. Ciel's areas of expertise is copying others and having an emphatic connection with Cyber Elves. She's not a revival specialist and only attained those abilities through her interaction with the Model V. She simply recovered the souls of the legendary heroes, that would have lived on as Cyber Elves until they had spent up all their energy, and put them inside of the Livemetal. All of the legendary heroes that became Livemetals have been previously set up to have died.
