I think I started late October.... Early November. Since I just started it, I'm thinking it's going to take me a couple of months for a full game to be made. Hopefully going to add a time attack mode, and more options to make the game have more replay value. A friend of mine had been talking about thoughts for a 2 player mode. :P

Also, here's a quick video of the progress so far.

Nice ideas and that was a good vid. I especially liked the end.  8)

BTW, guys, here's the patch for Rockman 2DX, a Rockman 2 rom hack that hasn't been all that easy to come by. I'd post some screens but I've no cam and I haven't seen a single screen of this game anywhere.

Work in Progress

Was going to make a new thread about this WIP. but there really isn't much to show yet.
Also, I have NO knowledge of NES rom hacking when it comes to MM games. So it's being developed with MMF2. :P

Interesting. How long you been working on it?

Melt Man's stage has death pools and dark rooms, much like Quick Man's stage. Some platforms blend in with the background tiles, so you have to look at their colors closely, which ones you can stand on or not.

Well crap  :'( I'm not sure if I'd rather deal with those or the lasers.

Vixy, once again, yuo amaze me with your awesomeness.  8) I tried Storm Man's level first. He and his level were hard. I like that the author changed up the robot masters.

Rockman Unprecedented. Only 5 stages are done if anyone wants to try it out. Here's a vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTBN8iSvcRk

Where you can get the patch: http://www.geocities.jp/dhiark/re/

The only finished levels are Metal Man, Flash Man, Heat Man, Crash Man, and Air Man. Warning: the game is hard.

DEM is one of the best MM hacks out there. The fact that there are 5 different versions of it shows that the author put a whole lot of care into the game. And the music is awesome.

EDIT: Found a video on YouTube for a level 1 demo of Megaman Forever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zblr9vHk0x4&feature=related I played it and came away pretty impressed.

You mean only the second-player debug cheats are gone, right?  I thought Anniversary Collection was just an emulation of an emulation.

Well If I recall, the pause trick in MM1 doesn't work either.

187
Hmm... so does the Megaman Collection for the GC/PS2 have the glitches removed or are they left intact?

Should I get the Collection version or just download the games from the VC?

The glitches are gone from the Anniversary Collection. If you want the glitches, I'd get the VC version of MM3.

Well ins't thaaaaat interesting. Very nice to know. Now I can suck so I WON'T suck later on.

Ya know..... If he had spent more time on the game, I reckon it would be Inafune's favorite next to MM2. :)

But yea, it's kind of sad knowing that MM3 is his least favorite, while it's everyone else's favorite. :(

When I think about it, it's not usual for Inafune to feel the way he does. Guns & Roses if I heard right, wasn't very fond of "Sweet Child of Mine." The fans? The LOVE that song. Lots of Mega Man fans feel the opposite of the way Inafune does for MM3.

On a somewhat related note, after playing MM6 again, I hold it in a much better light than I used to.

Cleared 75 screens last night. New record for me. Those lasers and the arrows in Gravity Man's section keep screwing me.

191
It's true that Rockman 3 was Inafune-san's least favourite.

Wow. Seriously, wow. I like MM3 better than MM2 and that's saying a lot because we all know what everyone thinks of MM2.

I'd love to hear an 8-bit version of South Pole. That's my fav track from Zero 2.

Very nice Top Man run. Even I can't do that stage without getting hit.

Best work in there is the proper tags for Constancy. :3
Most of the songs are in different lengths, most Stage Select tracks are too long.
I'll take my own NSF rips and create the soundtracks for RPM.

But still, good work. ^^

EDIT: Oh wait, every song that has a loop point was set to 3 minutes each... That's No Good~ 8D

The title for RnC were there because the person that did the NSF for them knew what each song originally was. I thought he was gonna cut some of the song lengths down like Stage Select as you mentioned but I guess he said "Screw it." Lol.

One of my favorite things about playing Mega Man rom hacks is hearing familiar (and some unfamiliar) songs in 8-bit. I had a buddy over at another forum covert the music from 7 MM2 rom hacks to mp3. I've named and tagged the files. Enjoy!

The black mystery section is where I started when I fired up this newer version. Only 3 screens in and a bit it.  :|
